The problem in rice production in Java is the decrease of agricultural land area, and the increase of old farmers, the share cropping system is a system of land tenure distribution that is mostly carried out in Java. The research was conducted in Klaten Regency as the centre for rice production in Central Java. This study aims to determine the management of rice farming using a share cropping system and factors that affect its productivity. The research involved 60 farmers as the research samples who were collected using multiple linear regression methods. The analysis revealed that the number of tenant farmers amounted to 38% with a relatively younger age and a land area of 0.7 ha. Economically, they live a decent life with revenue per cost 1.6 and profit per cost C 0.25, and a productivity level of 6.3 tons/ha, which is higher than the landowners are. The share cropping system in rice farming in Klaten Regency is a system of land use and labor that provides good incentives for the tenant

Abstrak. Teknologi jajar legowo merupakan suatu pola tanam dengan mengatur jarak tanam padi yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan produksi padi. Penggunaan faktor produksi pada sistem ini lebih hemat dibandingkan dengan sistem tanam tegel, sehingga penggunaan faktor produksi menjadi efisien. Efisiensi adalah suatu ukuran yang terdiri dari beberapa input yang digunakan pada suatu usahatani untuk menghasilkan sejumlah output tertentu. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi produksi dan tingkat efisiensi penggunaan faktor produksi pada usahatani padi di Kecamatan Lhoknga, Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Model analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi coub-douglass, efisiensi produksi, serta keuntungan dan penerimaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor produksi luas lahan, pupuk urea, pupuk sp-36, berpengaruh nyata terhadap produksi padi sistem jajar legowo. Sedangkan sisanya benih dan tenaga kerja tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap produksi padi. Kemudian penggunaan faktor produksi pupuk urea (X3) bernilai 9,5 dan pupuk Sp-36 (X4) bernilai 11,9 sehingga dikatakan penggunaan faktor produksi tersebut pada usahatani padi sistem jajar legowo belum efisien, sedangkan faktor produksi lahan bernilai 0,0006 sehingga dikatakan penggunaan faktor produksi lahan pada usahatani padi sistem jajar legowo tidak efisien. Nilai R2 sebesar 0,628 menunjukkan bahwa sebesar 62% variasi produksi usahatani padi sistem jajar legowo dapat dijelaskan oleh faktor-faktor produksi seperti luas lahan, benih, pupuk urea, pupuk sp-36, pupuk NPK Phonska, dan tenaga kerja. Sedangkan sisanya sebesar 38 persen dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor lain. Sebaiknya petani lebih memperhatikan jumlah penggunaan faktor produksi yang digunakan agar hasil produksi dapat meningkat sehingga penerimaan yang diperoleh petani juga akan meningkat.The Analysis of Efficiency of Production Factor Toward the Farmer Revenue by Jajar Legowo Cropping System in The Distict of Lhoknga Aceh Besar RegencyAbstract. Jajar legowo technology is a cropping system by adjusting the rice spacing which aims to increase the rice production. The use of production factor on this system more economic than tegel system, therefore the use of the production factor become efficient. Efficiency is a size that contains some inputs which using on a farming to get some outputs. The purpose of this research is to know the production factor on a farming in the distict of Lhoknga Aceh Besar regency. The analysis model in this research are the Coub-Douglass regression analysis, efficiency analysis and the profit and the revenue. The result showed that the production factor of land area, urea fertilizer and sp-36 fertilizer significantly affected the rice production of jajar legowo system. While the residue like the seed and the labor not affected the rice production. Then, the using of  production factor of urea fertilizer is 9,5 and Sp-36 is 11,9  so that the using of the production factor on the rice farming of jajar legowo system is not efficient yet, whereas the value of production factor on land area is 0,0006 therefore the using of land area production factor on the rice farming of jajar legowo system is not efficient. R2 value is 0,628% indicates that 62% the variation of production farm of jajar legowo system can be explained by production factors like land area, seed, urea fertilizer, sp-36 fertilizer, npk phonska fertilizer, and the labor. While the residue as 38% affected by the other factors. The total of production efficiency is 1. It’s mean that the use of the production is not efficient. The farmer should more pay attention toward the amount of the production factor used in order to the result of the production can increase. So, the revenue received by the farmer also increase.

This paper develops a lexicographic optimization model to allocate agricultural and non-agricultural water footprints by using the land area as the influencing factor. An index known as the water-footprint-land density (WFLD) index is then put forward to assess the impact and equity of the resulting allocation scheme. Subsequently, the proposed model is applied to a case study allocating water resources for the 11 provinces and municipalities in the Yangtze River Economic Belt (YREB). The objective is to achieve equitable spatial allocation of water resources from a water footprint perspective. Based on the statistical data in 2013, this approach starts with a proper accounting for water footprints in the 11 YREB provinces. We then determined an optimal allocation of water footprints by using the proposed lexicographic optimization approach from a land area angle. Lastly, we analyzed how different types of land uses contribute to allocation equity and we discuss policy changes to implement the optimal allocation schemes in the YREB. Analytical results show that: (1) the optimized agricultural and non-agricultural water footprints decrease from the current levels for each province across the YREB, but this decrease shows a heterogeneous pattern; (2) the WFLD of 11 YREB provinces all decline after optimization with the largest decline in Shanghai and the smallest decline in Sichuan; and (3) the impact of agricultural land on the allocation of agricultural water footprints is mainly reflected in the land use structure of three land types including arable land, forest land, and grassland. The different land use structures in the upstream, midstream, and downstream regions lead to the spatial heterogeneity of the optimized agricultural water footprints in the three YREB segments; (4) In addition to the non-agricultural land area, different regional industrial structures are the main reason for the spatial heterogeneity of the optimized non-agricultural water footprints. Our water-footprint-based optimal water resources allocation scheme helps alleviate the water resources shortage pressure and achieve coordinated and balanced development in the YREB.

Expansion of industrial areas, aquaculture, settlements, and limited knowledge of the community about the function of mangroves allegedly led to the conversion of mangrove functions in the early 1990s. This study aimed to map the condition of mangroves from 1988, 1990, 1995, 2008, to 2021 and their effect on the widespread of tidal flooding in three villages (Mangkang Kulon, Mangunharjo, Mangkang Wetan) in Tugu subdistrict, Semarang City. The research method was carried out by using spatiotemporal analysis of Landsat 5 and Landsat 8 imagery through the supervised approach (Maximum Likelihood algorithm). In order to map the correlation of mangrove damage with the widespread impact of tidal flooding, an overlay analysis of land use maps was carried out in 1988, 1990, 1995, 2008 and 2021. The results of the study showed that mangrove damage is correlated with the widespread of tidal flooding that drowns settlements, ponds, and agricultural land. Data analysis showed that the mangrove area in three villages has decreased from 1988 to 2021, covering an area of 242.66 ha. This condition is one of the triggers for the increase in tidal flooding area from 1988 to 2021, covering an area of 253.135 ha. As a natural barrier to prevent abrasion and tidal flooding, mangrove conservation is very necessary, considering the impact of tidal flooding on the coast of Semarang City is increasingly widespread.

In the general explanation of Law No. 4 of 2009 on Mineral and Coal Mining it isoutlined that the Basic Law 1945 Article 33 paragraph (3) affirms the earth, water, andnatural wealth contained therein is controlled by the state and used for the greatprosperity of the people. In this study, the authors examined how environmentaldamage impacts the merapi sand mining in Klaten. The research method used in thisstudy is empirical legal research, where in empirical research emphasizes more on thesymptoms and consequences that occur based on the field, or in another sense thisstudy uses observation methods as primary data to see how the law in action goes.From the results of the research obtained that the impact of merapi sand mining in thecentral java klaten is the first impact on the damage of agricultural land, plantation landthat certainly threatens the availability of land for future generations of farmers thatwill certainly have an impact on food availability, secondly damaging evacuation routesand thirdly disrupting water content, ecology, landslide prone.

Despite the increase in area under coffee in Kenya in the last decade, productivity has been on the decline. Numerous production technologies have been developed through on-station research but there has been limited on-farm research to assess the impact of these technologies at the farm level. On the other hand, smallholder farmers are endowed differently and this would positively or negatively affect the adoption of recommended technologies and hence coffee productivity. This study was carried out to evaluate the effects of socioeconomic factors and technology adoption on smallholder coffee productivity at the farm level. The study employed stratified random sampling where 376 farmers were randomly sampled from six cooperative societies which had been preselected using probability proportional to the size sampling technique. The effects of socioeconomic factors and technology adoption on coffee productivity were analyzed using the stochastic Cobb-Douglas production function. The study revealed that off-farm income, access to credit, type of land tenure, and land size had significant positive effects on coffee productivity. Therefore, coffee farmers should be encouraged to diversify their income sources and to embrace credit financing, as the government reviews land use policies to avail adequate agricultural land. The study further revealed that the adoption of recommended application rates of manure, fungicides, and pesticides had significant positive effects on coffee productivity. The adoption of these technologies should therefore be enhanced among small-scale farmers to improve coffee productivity at the farm level.

This research has been done to identify changes in agricultural land to non-agriculture causing the establishment of illegal settlements. Viewed from the standpoint of nature this research is descriptive research, carried out in order to help in strengthening old theories or within the framework of developing new theories. Research locations are in the Office of the Regional Planning, Research and Development (BP3D) Boyolali Regency and Boyolali Regency Agriculture Office. Data collection was carried out by interview and literature study. Data analysis technique is done by data reduction, data display and conclusion. The results show that agricultural development will occur if land problems over the conversion of agricultural land into settlements are unavoidable or need to find a solution to a problem that is very urgent, this is by studying the impact of the problem and socializing the community over these impacts and their resolution to obtain clarity of land legality the conversion. When land starts to shrink, domestic food needs will decrease because population growth cannot be avoided every year. For this reason, immediate special handling is needed, such as direct counseling for the community. Will be danger of land conversion is carried out continuously. Development of the latest technology is needed to manage the land so that fertility does not decrease quickly so as to reduce land productivity. Another way replacement of agricultural land which is used as an alternative handling of the legality problem of conversion of agricultural land.

Climate change is occurring increasingly complex and unpredictable, therefore the phenomenon of saltwater intrusion at coastal areas is also increasingly serious. The saltwater intrusion threatens the production and life of people in Nghe An’s coastal areas. Our study used MIKE11, MIKE 21 and ArcGIS software to assess the effects of saltwaters intrusion on agricultural land. The results indicate that the agricultural lands in Nghe An’s coastal areas are at high hazards of saltwater intrusion. Cua Lo town is the most affected by the saltwater intrusion, typically with land for cultivation of perennial trees (BHK), paddy land (LUC, LUK), land for production forests (RST), and land for aquaculture (TSL) are at high risk from the base (with more than 90 % of the total land area).

Abstract Ajibarang District is one of the areas in Banyumas Regency with a high level of productivity, but the decrease in rainfall in 2017-2019 caused Ajibarang District to have difficulty in developing their agriculture so that farmers experienced crop failure. The impact that occurs from crop failure causes the land to not be cultivated and if it is cultivated, farmers plant secondary crops. It is also greatly influenced by climate change that occurs. In fact, Ajibarang Subdistrict is included in the B2 Climate Zone with an average rainfall of 1000 - 2000 mm/year which is a climate zone business. The purpose of this study was to determine the opportunities for the rice planting that is very suitable for rice farming. In addition, the Ajibarang Sub-district is also drained by a large river, namely the Serayu River and the Tajum River which are tributaries of the river. So, it is necessary to adjust the climate to be able to determine a suitable planting calendar for agricultural calendar in Ajibarang District. Method The research used is the Forward Sampling and Backward Sampling analysis methods. So, the results of this study resulted in a rice and secondary cropping calendar with three planting seasons in one year and two dry seasons in one year.

This research aims to assess the rate of agricultural land conversion, analyze factors affectagricultural land conversion, and analyze the impact of land conversion on rice production in Sigi District. Data analysis used is analysis of conversion rate, logistic regression analysis, and analysis of impact production. Result obtained Conversion of paddy field that happened in Sigi District from year 2009 until year 2016 which is about 20,75% or 4,499 Ha. with average value of depreciation every year equal to 2,96% or equal to 645,57 Ha.Based on the results of logistic regression analysis obtained from 7 independent variables, only 3 variables that significantly affect the land conversion that occurred. The influential variables are land area, land selling price, and number of family dependents with Prob value. <α (10%). Variables that have no effect on land conversion are length of stay, duration of farming, yield, and selling price of paddy. Based on the results of production impact analysis, obtained the lost production capacity of 39,719.81 tons of dry milled grain or about 4,467.97 tons of dry milled grain per year.
