Science process skill and analytical thinking ability are needed in chemistry learning in 21 century. Analytical thinking is related with science process skill which is used by students to solve complex and unstructured problems. Thus, this research aims to determine science process skill and analytical thinking ability of senior high school students in chemistry learning. The research was conducted in Tiga Maret Yogyakarta Senior High School, Indonesia, at the middle of the first semester of academic year 2015/2016 is using the survey method. The survey involved 21 grade XI students as participants. Students were given a set of test questions consists of 15 essay questions. The result indicated that the science process skill and analytical thinking ability were relatively low ie. 30.67%. Therefore, teachers need to improve the students’ cognitive and psychomotor domains effectively in learning process.

This study focused on the anxiety and performance of the students in learning English specifically in speaking. It sought to find out anxieties and its causes that affect their English performance in terms of inter-language phonology, grammar and meaning system. The study covered the use of Foreign Language Classroom Anxiety Scale (FLCAS) developed by Horwitz et al. (1986) that measure the English learners’ anxiety levels while learning English in the classroom. The respondents of the study were the selected Grade 12 senior high school students from the selected public schools in Maguindanao Division, Philippines. Descriptive-correlational survey method was used in the study. The findings show that English language speaking anxiety does exist among Senior High School students in Maguindanao Division and their level of anxiety in learning English is high. It is further concluded that students’ anxiety levels in speaking English in terms of inter-language phonology, inter-language grammar and inter-language meaning system contributed to students’ performance in learning in English.

The development of technology today has a huge impact on education, especially in the learning process. Therefore, an educator must be able to adapt the learning process to technological developments. One way to apply technology development in learning systems is to use e-modules in the learning process. The purpose of this study is to use guided inquiry-based e-modules to see the magnitude of the increase in students' critical thinking skills in the material reaction rate after using guided inquiry-based e-modules. The research method used a quasy experiment with a pretest-postest design using two classes as the experimental class and the control class. The sample in this study were students of State Senior High School (SMAN) 1 Sebrida Indragiri Hulu class XI. The results obtained were an increase in students' critical thinking abilities from before the use of guided inquiry-based e-modules. After the use of e-module based guided inquiry. This increase is seen from the comparison between the experimental class and the control cash class. The experimental class using e-module has a higher critical thinking ability of students than the control class that does not use e-module in the learning process.

The purpose of this research is to describe and analyze the effect of habituation, social media and Civic Education learning towards environmental awareness of senior high school students in Bandung. The hypothesis of this research is that there is the effect of habituation, social media, and Civic Education learning towards environmental awareness of senior high school in Bandung. The research was conducted by using explanatory survey method with two stage technique cluster random sampling. The research subjects are students of senior high school in Bandung. The research sample consisted of 98 students. Data were analyzed using path analysis. The findings in this research are, first, habituation, social media, and Civic Education learning in a positive and significant effect on environmental awareness with high category (R Square 0.676) contributed 67.6% to the environmental awareness of students of senior high school in Bandung. Second, there is no significant relationship between gender with environmental awareness, majoring in environmental awareness, and parental employment status with environmental awareness.

This study was aimed at developing and describing the feasibility of analytical thinking and science process skill instrument for Senior High School chemistry in the material of reaction rates. The study was conducted in fi ve senior high schools in Yogyakarta. The instrument development used the 4-D model including defi ning, designing, developing, and disseminating. Analytical Thinking and Science Process Skill (ATSPS) instrument was validated by expert judgement and chemistry teachers. The data obtained were analyzed using the descriptive, qualitative, and quantitative methods. Findings show that evaluation of the the developed ATSPS instrument has a validity index of 0.95. Product evaluation of the instrument done by the Senior High School chemistry teachers obtained a score of 530 within the good category. The percentage of teachers’ responses to the chemistry assessment instrument is 88.33%. Therefore, ATSPS instrument is feasible to be used for measuring the knowledge and skills of the Senior High School students integratively.

This research aimed to develop The Better Energy Encyclopedia for Indonesia (BEEI) as a chemistry learning source for senior high school students and to determine the quality of the encyclopedia according to assessment of five chemistry teachers as reviewer based on quality criteria (standard) of non-text books include content/material, presentation, language and images, and graphics expediency. This research used model of procedural development including of five stages, they are planning, organizing, implementation, product assessment, and data analysis. The developed encyclopedia contains 15 chapters of renewable energy and non-renewable energy. The initial product was reviewed by three peer reviewers, a media expert, and a teaching materials expert. The final product was assessed by five reviewers of senior high school teachers from different school. Assesment was done by using research instrument sheet consisting 34 items statements. The result of this development research was the Better Energy Encyclopedia for Indonesia. This product obtained an average final score (x) of 149.20. According to the assessment result by five reviewers, this final product quality of encyclopedia obtained the excellent category. Thus, the Better Energy Encyclopedia for Indonesia is worthy of being used as a chemistry learning source for senior high school students.

THE INFLUENCE OF IMPLEMENTATION OF JIGSAW COOPERATIVE LEARNING INQUIRY MODEL TO SCIENCE PROCESS SKILLS OF JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS Abstract This purposes of research are to know the role of guided inquiry learning model with jigsaw cooperative and the role of initial academic ability, and is there any interaction between learning model and initial academic ability to science process skill of Junior High school.  This research uses posttest only control design with factorial design 2×3. Data collections techniques are documentation for initial academic ability, observation sheet and test for science process ability observation. The output of this research shows that the science process skill average score of experiment class is higher that is 83.70 than the control class that is 79.03. Science process skill average score of students with high, moderate, and low initial academic is 87.00, 81.05, and 78.38. Data analysis shows that guided inquiry learning model with jigsaw cooperative and initial academic ability has influence on science process skill of Junior High School students, and there is no interaction between learning model with initial academic ability to science process skill of Junior High School students.
