Without a guideline or structure, conducting a literature review on a psychological construct might become a chaotic process . This canvas was built based on the author's experience in order to help psychological researchers classify, organize, and summarize the information relating to the psychological construct of interest into several essential aspects including definition, classification, measurement, sample, predictors and outcomes, mediators and moderators, interventions, and theories. For each aspect, there are some guiding questions which are expected to help researcher decice which information should be focused while examining scientific documents. The completely filled canvas should depict the status quo of the research on the psychological construct of interest, facilitating the research process.

Marketing mix has been the cornerstone of the discipline and dominating marketing early thought. This concept has been the focal point in the development of conventional managerial paradigm with strong adherence to its normative pillars of ‘4 Ps’. History has shown that a new paradigm constantly shifting the status quo of such concept into more advance findings. The objective of this paper is to present the rationale of marketing mix in Islamic marketing. Despite the evolution of marketing mix paradigm over more than 40 years, it is undeniable that such classical marketing canon has its root from concept of exchange. By using both qualitative and quantitative approaches in the development of instruments has led to the development of the 5Cs model. It is aimed to proposed a more advance finding derived from an Islamic perspective towards the concept. In depth literature review and survey has found a distinct set of marketing mix variables catering to Muslim consumer that are in line with Islamic principles. 5Cs models of Commitment, Characteristics, Conformity, Conscience, Customer centric offers a new way of marketing to Muslim consumers governed by Islamic principles and injunctions. Therefore, 5Cs model can be applied in many areas, for instance in Halal industry. It is recommended that business and academia will apply and further develop the model as it will enrich the framework and as to remain relevant.

Despite multiple efforts by senior scholars, Design Science Research is viewed as underperforming given its distinct value for the IS domain. Conducting a descriptive literature review, this study sets out to survey the DSR landscape in the Senior Scholar Basket to measure the actual performance of DSR and provide a benchmark for future DSR strategies and studies. Reviewing 111 studies using a coding scheme developed over seven iterations, the status quo of DSR is depicted and analyzed. The results present: (i) the current balance between theoretical and practical impacts achieved in DSR, (ii) a pattern of perpetual black box prototyping, and (iii) a reluctance to tackle real-world messy problems and deliver practically useful artefacts. Finally, the study provides the IS community with the opportunity to reflect on the shape DSR has taken and decide if indeed this is what the community needs or deserves.

The journey toward becoming one's best is a heroic quest which demands strength, courage, independence, and perseverance. This paper assists counselors and psychotherapists to understand and illuminate the issues, obstacles, and challenges confronting gifted women, and to empower their clients to claim and express their high potential. These issues are drawn from the author's interviews with clients and colleagues, a survey of participants at a 1986 conference for and about gifted women, and a comprehensive literature review. Gifted women are urged to recognize and externalize cultural and familial devaluation, refuse to be invisible or to “disappear,” resist the pull of the status quo, and envision new possibilities for personal fulfillment. Guidelines, strategies, and resources for enabling these goals are discussed.

Purpose – Co-production in the context of mental health research has become something of a buzzword to indicate a project where mental health service users and academics are in a research partnership. The notion of partnership where one party has the weight of academic tradition on its side is a contestable one, so in this paper the authors “write to understand” (Richardson and St Pierre, 2005) as the purpose of this paper is to examine the experiences of working in a co-produced research project that investigated supported housing services for people with serious mental health problems. Design/methodology/approach – The authors set out to trouble the notion of co-produced research though a painfully honest account of the project, while at the same time recognising it as an idea whose time has come and suggesting a framework to support its implementation. Findings – Co-production is a useful, albeit challenging, approach to research. Originality/value – This paper is particularly relevant to researchers who are endeavouring to produce work that challenges the status quo through giving voice to people who are frequently silenced by the research process.

The prohibition of killing and eating cows among the Hindus are generally well known. This paper aims to discuss the status of the cow in Hinduism through analysing past related literatures. This paper employs content analysis method through Systematic Literature Review. Articles are collected from Scopus and Dimensions database. 16 articles are screened through the process of identification, examination and eligibility. A systematic analysis focuses on factors of cow veneration in Hinduism. Three major factors were evident in this study namely religion, economy and politic. In the first phase, veneration of the cow is more of a religious issue due to the influence of ahimsa principle introduced in Jainism. In the later phase, it is more of an economic factor where cows were protected and not killed for their benefits to mankind. Whereas now, veneration of the cow is more related to political factors in defending the status quo of the Hindus.

PurposeQualitative Comparative Analysis (QCA) is a promising, powerful method that is increasingly used for IS research. However, the Information Systems (IS) discipline still lacks a shared understanding of how to conduct and report QCA. This paper introduces the fundamental concepts of QCA, summarizes the status quo, and derives recommendations for future research.Design/methodology/approachA descriptive literature review in major IS outlets summarizes how and why QCA has been used in the IS discipline, critically evaluates the status quo, and derives recommendations for future QCA studies.FindingsThe literature review reveals 32 empirical research articles in major IS journals that have used the QCA method. Articles applied QCA to a broad range of research topics at the individual and organizational levels, mainly as a standalone analysis for theory development, elaboration and testing. The authors also provide evidence that most published IS research articles do not take full advantage of the potential QCA, such as analyzing necessary causal conditions or testing the robustness of QCA results. The authors provide seven actionable recommendations for future IS research using QCA.Originality/valueThe literature review assesses the status quo of QCA’s application in the IS discipline and provides specific recommendations on how IS researchers can leverage the full potential of QCA.
