The Omnibus Law, which was passed on October 5, 2020, has discontented students and workers who protested on the streets. The ratification of the Omnibus Law has an effect on public opinion-raising activities, both those who support and who reject the ratification of the Omnibus Law, are crowded on Twitter social media. The active account of K-Poppers who took part became a line against the opinion of the Omnibus Law, so a question arises whether this is a phenomenon of the rise of political awareness of K-Poppers in Indonesia? This study analyzes the role of K-Poppers in socio-political movements in several countries globally, especially in Indonesia. The type of research used is a case study of the K-Poppers movement in the case of the ratification of the Omnibus Law as the subject in writing this paper. Collecting data using Social Network Analysis (SNA) and observing the activities of K-Poppers in Indonesia when parliament passed the controversial Omnibus Law. The results of this study indicate that Indonesian K-Poppers maximize their function as part of Indonesian citizens to express their political stance. They also showed their political involvement when creating hashtags, organizing other K-Pop crowds, and at the same time providing support to activists who rejected the Omnibus Law.

As a hybrid, journo-activist space, tweeting #Ferguson quickly emerged as a way for activists and journalists to network and spread information. Using a mixed-methods approach combining digital ethnographic content analysis with social network analysis and link analysis, this study examines journalistic and activist uses of Twitter to identify changes in field relations and practices. Employing the lenses of field theory and mediatization, this study finds parity and divergence in the themes, frames, format, and discourse of journalist and activist Twitter practices. While the traditions of objective journalism and affective activism persist, notable exceptions occurred, especially following acts of police suppression. The networked communities of professional and activist Twitter users were overlapping and interactive, suggesting hybridity at the margins of the journalistic field. Given the hybridizing of journalistic and journo-activist practices, this case study examines the role of social media in efforts to report on and bolster social change.

Digital Movement of Opinion (DMO) using hashtag #TrueBeauty on Twitter was conducted by the fans of True Beauty as one of the most popular Webtoon’s comic. The fans gave their opinion about the perfect cast for the movie adaption of the comic. The objective of this research is to analyse the network that was formed by the DMO of #TrueBeauty. The method that had been used was social network analysis and the datasets mining was done using Netlytic. This research indicates that fans as the actors of the DMO were spreaded widely across the network and not centralized into certain dominant actors. The actors was divided into different clusters and every cluster has its own characteristics based on different locations and cultures. Therefore the role of influencers or dominant actors in every cluster is very important to deliver opinions with a style that suits every community. Moreover, text analysis found that film industry should pay attention to social media opinion, because many of the opinion were reflects the original desires of every fan without any intermediaton from any parties.

This article uses social network analysis of online contestation on Twitter from September 2018 to April 2019 to reveal how netizens' engagement in election de-bates is polarized by the politics of hashtags. This study finds that hashtags are operated to construct dichotomist debate focusing on both presidential candi-dates' figure. This finding indicates: first, the weak position of citizens in deliberat-ing public issues; second, the ineffectiveness of social media, especially Twitter as an online forum for articulating public issues; and third, online influencers, who create and propagate hashtags, play a strategic role in deliberating public issues. Strengthening the role of social media needs to be combined with contemporary citizenship political strategies that can extend access for civil society and online influencers to play an active role in articulating public issues more argumentative-ly.

In this study we present a proposal for digital methods using Social Network Analysis (ARS) techniques as a product that materializes in ways to investigate data from social networks. Through such methods, we research the potential of these techniques to investigate the topology of networks and the individual and collective actions of their actors. As an example, we adopted as a case study the Twitter profile of the Ministry of Health of Canada to examine actors and communication strategies in combating the pandemic. These actors played a leading role in distributing information against Covid-19. As a contribution, we identified that, through the methods adopted, it was possible to perceive a triangulation in the communication of government agents with their public, in addition to identifying communication strategies in combating the pandemic.
