Introduction: The high prevalence of oral disease have not been followed by the availability of oral healthcare, especially at the community-based level. This study was aimed to determine the differences between dental health service quality and utilisation of community health centres in the city of Padang based on indicators of utilisation effectiveness. Methods: A cross-sectional survey was conducted towards two Community Health Services (Puskesmas) as the samples selected using random sampling technique. One Community Health Service was representing a rarely visited Community Health Service with ≤ 9 patients visit per day, and another Community Health Service was representing oppositely. As much as 131 respondents were included in this study, selected using the purposive sampling method. Dimensional satisfaction of service quality including tangibility, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy, were collected by interviewing the respondents based on a self-reported questionnaire. All data were analysed using the chi-square test. Results: The majority of respondents agreed that dimensional satisfaction such as tangibility, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy at both Community Health Services were at a good level. There was a significant relationship (p < 0.05) between several dimensional satisfaction of service quality variables (the wide and clean parking area; intense involvement of dentists on every oral examination; friendly service by the front-office; and empathetic affection of dentists towards the patient’s complain) and the utilisation of oral health services. Conclusion: No service differences found from relationship analysis between dental health service quality and utilisation of community health centres in the city of Padang based on indicators of utilisation effectiveness.Keywords: Service quality, dimensional satisfaction, oral health service, service utilisation, Community Health Centre.

The objective of this paper is to analyze the provincial efficiency of the Chinese community health care service and its differences. This study allows us to predict the provincial differences in the efficiency of the Chinese community health care service from 2017 to 2026. This study analyzes the contributions of inter-regional and intra-regional differences in the total efficiency difference. We use the Super-SBM (Slacks-based Model) data envelopment analysis (DEA) model, Grey Model GM (1,1) for grey prediction, and the group-based Theil index decomposition method to study Chinese provincial panel data from 2008 to 2016. Results show that a fluctuating trend existed in the average provincial efficiency of community health services from 2008 to 2016. The community health services in a considerable number of provincial areas were inefficient. This study also reveals that there existed apparent inter-provincial differences in efficiency in Chinese community health services. The inter-provincial differences of the efficiency of Chinese community health services revealed by the Theil index declined at a relatively slow pace. With regard to the provincial efficiency difference of the Chinese community health service, the intra-regional efficiency difference is the most important structural reason for the overall efficiency difference, which explains the overall difference to a large extent. The inter-regional efficiency difference among the eastern, central, and western regions becomes the secondary structural reason, which should not be ignored. In conclusion, focus should be put on restructuring the investments into medical resources for community health service in each Chinese province. More attentions should be put into narrowing the inter-regional efficiency differences of the Chinese provincial community health service. The strategies targeted at reducing the inter-regional efficiency differences should not be ignored, so as to facilitate the improvement of overall efficiency of the Chinese community health service.

Until now, comprehensive service planning has been uncommon in the Victorian community health sector. Where it has occurred, it has primarily been undertaken by community health services embedded within larger, hospital-based health services. Reflections on the utility and efficacy of community health service planning are largely absent from the Australian peer-reviewed literature. Using a case study focussed on a specific centre in Melbourne’s outer suburbs, this paper explores how community health service planning is shaped by the current policy context, the legal status of registered community health services, and the data and methodologies available to inform planning. It argues that regular and systematic service planning could support registered community health centres to better understand their unique position within the primary health-care landscape, having regard to their inherent opportunities and vulnerabilities. Furthermore, consistent and effective service planning is proposed to benefit agencies in establishing themselves as critical players in promoting local population health initiatives and driving improved health outcomes.

Abstract Background Hypertensive patients can freely choose informal medical facilities, such as pharmacies, community health service centres, and cardiology clinics in secondary or tertiary hospitals, as routine places for medical treatment in China currently. The proportions, influencing factors and effects of different health-seeking behaviours on blood pressure (BP) among hypertensive patients in urban communities are not clear. The aim of the study was to investigate health-seeking behaviours and the effects of different health-seeking behaviours on BP among hypertensive patients in urban communities in China. Methods A cross-sectional survey of hypertension was conducted in urban communities in Chengdu. A total of 437 hypertensive patients seeking medical help regularly were sequentially enrolled to complete a the questionnaire on health-seeking behaviours. Results The average age was 67.1 ± 7.5 years old. The control rate of BP was 41.0%, and the systolic blood pressure (SBP) and diastolic blood pressure (DBP) were 144.2 ± 17.9 mm Hg and 75.4 ± 10.4 mm Hg, respectively. Among the hypertensive patients investigated, 62.8% chose community health service centre, 5.2% chose informal medical facilities, 21.5% chose cardiology clinics in secondary or tertiary hospitals, and 10.5% chose both community health service centre and cardiology clinics as the usual places for medical treatment. There were significant differences in education levels, proportions of home BP monitoring, establishment of chronic disease archives in the community, medication adherence and side effects of drugs among the four groups. The control rates of BP were 39.4%, 23.8%, 43.0% and 54.8% (P = 0.100), respectively. The SBPs were 145.1 ± 18.0, 150.9 ± 19.8, 143.8 ± 17.5 and 136.3 ± 15.1 mm Hg (P = 0.007), respectively, and it was significantly lower in the combined management group than in the other three groups. Compared with patients choosing community health service centre, patients in the combined management group had a significantly lower BP level (β = −0.119, P = 0.038) adjusting for age, sex, education level, establishment of chronic disease archives, medication adherence and number of antihypertensive drugs. Conclusions Combined management with both community health service centre and higher-level hospitals can decrease BP.

AbstractMass gatherings (MG) impact their host and surrounding communities and with inadequate planning, may impair baseline emergency health services. Mass gatherings do not occur in a vacuum; they have both consumptive and disruptive effects that extend beyond the event itself. Mass gatherings occur in real geographic locations that include not only the event site, but also the surrounding neighborhoods and communities. In addition, the impact of small, medium, or large special events may be felt for days, or even months, prior to and following the actual events. Current MG reports tend to focus on the events themselves during published event dates and may underestimate the full impact of a given MG on its host community.In order to account for, and mitigate, the full effects of MGs on community health services, researchers would benefit from a common model of community impact. Using an operations lens, two concepts are presented, the “vortex” and the “ripple,” as metaphors and a theoretical model for exploring the broader impact of MGs on host communities. Special events and MGs impact host communities by drawing upon resources (vortex) and by disrupting normal, baseline services (ripple). These effects are felt with diminishing impact as one moves geographically further from the event center, and can be felt before, during, and after the event dates. Well executed medical and safety plans for events with appropriate, comprehensive risk assessments and stakeholder engagement have the best chance of ameliorating the potential negative impact of MGs on communities.LundA, TurrisSA, BowlesR. Information system at community health center is an information system that has several activities, such as registration, medical record, health care, and reporting.  Day to day operation, community health service, is using process manually. It is cause the stack of service. Sometime, the patient has to wait within several times. For Further, the patient did not know that the queuing is full. In order to help the problem, this paper wants to show about E-Health as service software. The research is completed by conveying the model like UML diagram. The UML diagrams are consisting such as usecase, class, activity, and component. The sequence of system construct is using Prototype Paradigm. The result is the software which has ability to service patient start from registration, medical check, medical prescription, until reporting. As an impact for Community health service is the service more efficiency.
