The purpose of the study was to establish the role of Instructional Materials in the Learning of Geography Subject in Secondary Schools of Busega District. The study adopted the mixed research approach under which convergent parallel design was used. The study involved 23 secondary schools in Busega District whereby four secondary schools were purposively sampled to participate in the study because the schools had exhibited a severe declining performance trend in Geography at the National examinations for last five years. The study used purposive, stratified and simple random sampling techniques to select 1 DEO, 4 Heads of Schools, 4 Heads of Geography Department, 8 Geography Teachers and 80 students to participate in the study. Questionnaires and interview guides were used for data collection. Quantitative data was analyzed using descriptive statistics with the help of the SPSS software while the qualitative data was analyzed thematically. The study concluded that the use of learning materials in geography contributed to enhanced creativity and innovativeness in learners. Learning materials further assisted learners to comprehend difficult topics in Geography. It also made learning very interesting and this motivated learners to fully participate in the learning process. The study recommended that the use of instructional material should be emphasized in public secondary schools as they played a key role in enhancing productive learning of geography.

This article discusses the role of the family in the social development of children with special needs in an inclusive educational environment, in connection with which the study addresses a new aspect of the interaction between the teacher and the child’s family, the interaction of the teacher (teacher) and parents of children with developmental disabilities is highlighted in a variety of areas, students in secondary schools or attending kindergartens. The purpose of the study is to assess the role of the family in the adaptation of children with developmental disabilities, studying in secondary schools or attending kindergartens. To achieve this goal, the author defines a range of research tasks: to study the historical and philosophical foundations of the role of the family in raising children with special needs; highlight the role of the family in implementing early intervention programs in secondary schools; substantiate the main stages that any school must go through, striving to create a more fruitful relationship between the school, family and community. The author stated the following results as a scientific novelty: general recommendations have been developed so that parents feel confident, competent and can work more productively together with teachers (educators) when children visit kindergarten groups (classes). As a result of the study, the author came to the conclusion that the process of teaching children with special needs in a comprehensive school is most effective in the interaction of the teacher and the family of the child.

Students’ poor Financial Accounting performance in senior secondary schools is worrisome and induces youths to engage in several social vices. An attempt to curb the menace and improve students’ performance led this study to assess the instructional resources and effective pedagogy of Financial Accounting in secondary schools in Lagos State, Nigeria. Adopting the descriptive survey research design, the population of the study comprised 2,492 senior secondary schools 1 and 2 students and 10 teachers of Financial Accounting under Education District IV in Lagos State, Nigeria. 300 students and all the 10 teachers eventually emerged as samples using Checkmarket Sample Size Calculator at 5% margin and 95% confidence level. The data were collected using a structured questionnaire that obtained Cronbach’s Alpha=0.90, and analysed using descriptive analysis and t-test at α=0.05 level of significance. The results showed that the teachers of Financial Accounting were not using activity-based pedagogical strategies. Most of the instructional materials necessary for the effective pedagogy of Financial Accounting were inadequate and malfunctioning. Therefore, Financial Accounting teachers are strongly encouraged to apply innovative and experiential learning strategies in teaching and learning. Furthermore, adequate infrastructure and modern equipment in the schools will create better learning opportunities for students.

This study aimed at defining the role of educational media in promoting the values of citizenship among students of secondary schools in Zarqa Education Directorate II from viewpoint of their teachers.The study used a descriptive approach. A questionnaire was developed, consisting of 30 paragraphs, which evaluated the role of educational media in promoting the values of citizenship among students of secondary schoolsin Zarqa Education Directorate II from viewpoint of their teachers. The validity and reliability of the study's tool have been verified. The sample of the study consisted of the schools' teachers of Zarqa Education Directorate II.They were 250 male and female teachers for the academic year 2016-2017 selected from among the schools of Zarqa Education Directorate II.The results of the study were as follows:-          The role of educational media in promoting the values of citizenship among the students of secondary schools in Zarqa Education Directorate II from the viewpoint of their teachers.-          In favor of females, there were statistically significance differences in the role of educational media in promoting the values of citizenship among the students of secondary schools from the viewpoint of their teachers due to gender variable.-          In favor of females, there were statistically significant differences in promoting of the values of citizenship among students of secondary schools in Zarqa Education Directorate II from the viewpoint of their teachers attributed to specialization variable.-          There were no statistically significant differences due to experience variable.The study recommended achieving the goal of education through the institutions of the Ministry of Education by educational media, and activating the role of educational media to develop the values of citizenship among the students of secondary schools.

Educational technology plays a fundamental role in enhancing teaching learning process. It has facilitated instructional process and made it more productive, dynamic and effective. Therefore the study was conducted to explore the role of educational technology in public and private institutes in district Karak (Khyber Pukhtunkhwa) Pakistan in comparative perspectives. The main objectives of the study were: to compare the availability of educational technology in public and private institutions at secondary level; to compare the usability of educational technology in public and private institutions at secondary level and to know the usefulness of educational technology in public and private institutions at secondary level. All the heads, teachers and students in public and private secondary schools in district Karak constituted the population of the study. In order to ensure adequate sample, 60 heads, 180 teachers and 600 students serving and studying in public and private sectors at secondary school level in District Karak were selected randomly. The study was delimited to the selected male public and private secondary schools. The study was also delimited to those technologies which are commonly used. The study was descriptive in nature therefore, the researchers decided to develop questionnaire for the collection of data. A single questionnaire was developed for the whole sample. Pilot testing was conducted to know the weakness, misconceptions and ambiguities of the questions. After conduction of pilot testing, the questionnaire was revised and then its final version was prepared in the light of valuable suggestions of the heads, teachers and students. The researchers personally visited to the respective sample and distributed the questionnaires among the heads, teachers and students in public and private secondary schools. In this way data was collected. After the collection of data, the data was organized, tabulated and analyzed. The researchers decided to apply chi-square for the statistical treatment of the data. Therefore, chi square was applied to compare the responses of the sample. After analysis of the data, it was concluded that educational technologies are not available in both sectors. Some technologies are available in minor amount but these technologies are not used in both public and private sectors. Key Words:Educational Technology, Availability of Educational Technology, Usability of Educational Technology, Importance of Educational Technology
