Identification and rank of delay factors in construction projects depending on the project delivery system . The implementation of construction projects depends on many unpredictable factors, which can cause delays in construction works. The article proposes classification of the validity of delaydepending on the project delivery system. Two of them were considered: the traditional system (Design – Bid – Build), where the design stage is separated from the construction stage and the design and build (Design & Build), which consists in entrusting design works and carrying out works to one contractor. The order of validity is based on results of research carried out among participants of the construction project.

El Lean Project Delivery System (LPDS) es un sistema que implementa principios y herramientas Lean en todo el ciclo de vida de un proyecto de construcción. El LPDS es adaptativo pues es flexible para especificar las entradas y salidas de los procesos y tiene la libertad de elegir herramientas, técnicas y tecnologías acorde a las últimas tendencias. El propósito principal de este artículo es presentar un marco de generación de valor a través de la adaptación del LPDS al proceso de revisión de un plan de estudios. Este trabajo adapta el modelo del LPDS al proyecto de elaboración o actualización de un plan de estudios de la especialidad de ingeniería civil, incorporando BIM, realidad virtual y fotogrametría a lo largo de las asignaturas del área de gestión de la construcción. Se incluyen herramientas blandas y competencias tecnológicas que potencian la empleabilidad del egresado. Como estudio de caso se presenta la aplicación del modelo en la Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú.ABSTRACTLean Project Delivery System (LPDS) is a system that implements Lean principles and tools throughout the life cycle of a construction project. The LPDS is adaptive because it's flexible enough to specify the inputs and outputs of each process and allows the freedom to choose tools, techniques and technologies according to the latest trends. The main purpose of this paper is to present a value-generation framework through the adaptation of the LPDS to the Undergraduate Degree Plan process. This work adapts the LPDS model to the current project, elaboration or updating of the civil engineering curriculum, incorporating BIM, virtual reality and photogrammetry in the construction management area subjects. Soft tools and technological skills are included, and as such, enhancing the employability of the undergraduate. As a case study, the application of the model is presented at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru.

PurposeTechnological developments are having an impact on the construction sector and are creating a paradigm shift in project delivery methods. Traditional project delivery systems are inadequate in current project development processes. A more integrated project delivery system and the establishment of contractual and financial structures are needed. The purpose of this study is to incorporate integrated project delivery and real estate certificate concepts and propose a model for real estate development.Design/methodology/approachAs a methodology, both integrated project delivery and real estate certificate concepts are reviewed individually, and a case to real estate certificate in Turkey is examined.FindingsA real estate certificate is a new method for financing the development process. The system covers the financial dimension of the integrated project delivery system. When these two concepts are combined, they provide an alternative to the real estate development process.Research limitations/implicationsThis study is a preliminary study and lays the foundation for future studies.Practical implicationsIn theory, both concepts have many advantages, in practice, it is essential to create the necessary legal basis for these advantages to be valid. As this process requires significant planning and contract management, the proposed model must be properly designed at the start of the project.Originality/valueThis study proposes a new model for real estate development by combining integrated project delivery and real estate certificate concepts.

The project delivery mode is an extremely important link in the life cycle of water engineering. Many cases show that increases in the costs, construction period, and claims in the course of the implementation of water engineering are related to the decision of the project delivery mode in the early stages. Therefore, it is particularly important to choose a delivery mode that matches the water engineering. On the basis of identifying the key factors that affect the decision on the project delivery system and establishing a set of index systems, a comprehensive decision of engineering transaction is essentially considered to be a fuzzy multi-attribute group decision. In this study, intuitionistic fuzzy entropy was used to determine the weight of the influencing factors on the engineering transaction mode; then, intuitionistic fuzzy entropy was used to determine the weight of decision experts. Thus, a comprehensive scheme-ranking model based on an intuitionistic fuzzy hybrid average (IFHA) operator and intuitionistic fuzzy weighted average (IFWA) operator was established. Finally, a practical case analysis of a hydropower station further demonstrated the feasibility, objectivity, and scientific nature of the decision model.
