The calculated dependences for determining the deviation of the output current of the resonant power supply of the materials pulsed processing system from a given stabilized value are obtained. The inversely proportional dependence of the output current on the frequency at the input of the series resonant circuit is obtained. These dependencies can be applied for the frequency control of the inverter’s switches commutation which stabilizes the RMS value of the output current. At the close to short circuit modes, the deviation of the output current from the stabilized value does not exceed 2%, and therefore it can be ignored.

The output-current of silicon microgyroscope is at the level of 10-7A, so the requirements for circuits’ SNR are very high. This paper conducts the simulation of closed-loop driving circuits in Cadence on the basis of a RLC series resonant circuit. It turns out that experimental results fit the simulation which has a great significance for improving the property of circuits. First of all, the operating principle of silicon microgyroscope is introduced. Secondly, a RLC series resonant circuit is established by measuring Q value and driving frequency. Then the overall simulation is conducted in Cadence combined with chips’ models offered by the manufacturers. Finally, the accuracy of simulation is verified by experiments. Experimental results show that, the relative error of driving sense signal’s value is 0.5%, for stability time the value is 0.6% and for driving frequency the value is 38ppm. Experimental results agree well with the simulation, which confirms simulation’s accuracy. This has a great significance for improving the property of circuits.

The paper presents a by-pass solution used to limit the short-circuit current in the DC networks. The aim of the by-pass circuit consists in injecting a reverse current throughout the power switch, in order that switching achieves at low current value. The reverse current generation is obtained using a series resonant circuit, simulated in the paper in the Matlab-Simulink medium, the results of the simulation being compared to the experimental ones.

The research object is the electromagnetic processes in the semiconductor power converters based on the schemes with circuit commutation and containing resonant circuits of reactive elements and transformers with a small coupling coefficient. The research aim is to develop a technology for a fast wireless battery charging for the use in clean energy vehicles, which would be based on a resonant converter with a pulse-count adjustment with a phase shift control. The latter provides a high energy performance in a wide range of regulation and a low sensitivity to changes in the magnetic system parameters. This is a final report. The report presents the results of the work performed in accordance with the Terms of Reference for the second stage of the scientific and research work. The following theoretical problems have been solved: development of a mathematical model of a series resonant converter with a pulse-count adjustment for contactless inductive energy transmission, which provided a high accuracy for the studies of the electromagnetic processes in the power section of multi-circuit resonant converters for contactless energy transmission, as well as an opportunity to assess the energy parameters of multi-circuit converters at pulse-count adjustment; compilation of mathematical dependencies of the average input and output current values on the number of half-cycles of resonant oscillations during energy transmission to the circuit and energy dissipation, the supply voltage and the resonant circuit’s parameters, which allowed assessing the converter’s energy parameters over a wide control range; compilation of the dependencies of the converter’s output power and coefficient of efficiency on the number of halfcycles of resonant oscillations during energy transmission to the circuit and energy dissipation, on supply voltage and on the resonant circuit’s parameters, which made it possible to evaluate the efficiency of the pulse-count adjustment of resonant converters for contactless energy transmission; realization of a dynamic model of a resonant converter for contactless energy transmission in the form of transfer functions for small disturbances caused by fluctuations in supply voltage, which made it possible to estimate the effect of its instability on the quality of output current stabilization.

The medium voltage DC (MVDC) type system can connect multiple terminals to a common MVDC bus, so it is possible to connect several renewable DC power sources to the common MVDC bus, but a DC circuit breaker is needed to isolate short circuit accidents that may occur in the MVDC bus. For this purpose, the concept of a hybrid DC circuit breaker that takes advantage of a low conduction loss contact type switch and an arcless-breaking semiconductor switch has been proposed. During break the hybrid switch, a dedicated current commutation device is required to temporarily bypass the load current flowing through the main switch into a semiconductor switch branch. Existing current commutation methods include a proactive method and a reverse current injection method by a LC (Inductor-capacitor) resonant circuit. This paper proposes a power circuit of a new MVDC hybrid circuit breaker using a low withstanding voltage capacitor branch for commutation and a sequence controller according to it, and verifies its operation through an experiment.

In distribution networks with distributed power supplies, distributed power supplies can also be used as backup power sources to support the grid. If a distribution network contains multiple distributed power sources, the distribution network becomes a complex power grid with multiple power supplies. When a short-circuit fault occurs at a certain point on the power distribution network, the size, direction and duration of the short-circuit current are no longer single due to the existence of distributed power, and will vary with the location and capacity of the distributed power supply system. The change, in turn, affects the current in the grid, resulting in the generation and propagation of additional current. This power grid of power electronics will cause problems such as excessive standard mis-operation, abnormal heating of the converter and component burnout, and communication system failure. It is of great and practical significance to study the influence of distributed power in distributed power distribution networks.
