scholarly journals Agrochemical Idications Of The Deposits Of Azerbaijan and Effect Of Erosion Process On Plant Productivity

Taking all these into account, it is important to increase the fertility of the soil from the erosion process in Ismayilli and to prevent the washing of fodder crops from perennial herbs. The cultivation of these plants in the mountainous regions protects the slopes from the terrible erosion process and provides the animals with a strong fodder. It is proved by the results of the research that restoration of fertility and ecological balance of erosion lands and the implementation of soil-agro-technical measures to increase productivity are of great importance. Due to the application of these measures, I, as a result of improving the water and physical properties of the affected land, prevent surface water flows. In addition, the results of the study have been proven by the fact that, for certain reason, erosion and erosion hazards are most likely to be taken over by the sowing of perennial herbs. Thus, perennial herbs, in particular, accumulate the nitrogen atmosphere of the legumes, enriches the soil with organic matter, accelerates the formation of water-resistant granular - topical structure and improves its water-physical properties, which in turn facilitates the rapid digestion of foodstuffs.

The cultivation of perennial grasses in mountainous areas protects the slopes from erosion and provides animals with good food. According to the results of the studies, it was determined that the restoration of fertility and the ecological balance of erosional lands and the implementation of soil and agrotechnical measures is of great importance for increasing yields. Thanks to the application of these measures, as a result of the improvement of the water-physical properties of the affected lands, runoff of surface waters is prevented. Perennial grasses accumulate the nitrogen atmosphere of legumes, enrich the soil with organic substances, accelerate the formation of a water-resistant granular-fuel structure and improve its water-physical properties, which in turn contributes to the rapid assimilation of minerals.

Abstract. In mountainous regions, forests play a crucial role in protecting the local population from natural hazards. In cases where existing forests are destroyed, e.g. by wind throws or diseases, the protection function has to be restored through technical measures. To determine the willingness to pay (WTP) for protection against avalanches, a choice experiment has been conducted and different experiment specifications have been tested to determine possible impacts on the results. The present study contributes to a comprehensive assessment of protection measures, and helps to identify efficient solutions based on the judgement of the people potentially endangered by natural hazards. The stepwise approach has the advantage to gradually check data fit, thereby didactically showing an operational way of dealing with different model specifications. The detailed case study can serve as a manual for conducting choice experiments with a similar focus and demonstrates the suitability and caveats of this approach to value protection from natural hazards in general.

The water flows for surface irrigation processes are determined by the amelioration and agronomic condition of the irrigated cultures and the physical-and-mechanical parameters of the soil. The state of erosion process occurs at the boundary between the soil’s resistance forces and the flow’s velocities and their hydraulic forces. This condition is most often expressed in terms of the time-averaged velocities which are not real in each points of cross section of the water flow. The real velocities which cause erosion are pulsation velocities into the water flow and they are irregularly variable, with varying repetition and magnitude. Based on analytical studies, there is established and offered a range of the optimal probability values of these pulsation velocities for which the soil has adequate safety against erosion for the applicable flow velocities.

ABSTRACTElectromagnetic radiation in the microwave range has been utilized for the fabrication of SiC particulates-reinforced aluminum matrix cermets. Powder mixtures with compositions ranging from 70 wt% Al - 30wt% SiC to 100 wt% Al were placed and processed under protective nitrogen atmosphere in a 750 W multimode cavity operating at 2.45 GHz. Temperatures larger than 800°C have been achieved in a time varying with the mixture composition. Microstructures and some physical properties of the composites are presented.
