Decision support system, or DSS, is a system to support decision making process. One commonly used method is TOPSIS. It is a method for decision making on multi-criteria issues, and is one of the simplest and easiest to understand. One of the functions of TOPSIS is to determine the most sold products. It requires a programming language called PHP to implement it on Website. PHP is a server-side programming language, so, all processes are conducted on server, then given to customers. Further, it requires a database for storing the data and software to manage the database is MySQL.

The reception of journalists at the Waspada Daily Medan always went through several rigorous selections before being determined to be accepted as journalists at the Waspada Medan Daily. There are several criteria that must be possessed by each participant as a condition for becoming a journalist in the Daily Alert Medan. To get the best participants, the Waspada Medan Daily needed a decision support system. Decision Support Systems (SPK) are part of computer-based information systems (including knowledge-based systems (knowledge management)) that are used to support decision making within an organization or company. Decision support systems provide a semitructured decision, where no one knows exactly how the decision should be made. In this study the authors applied the VlseKriterijumska Optimizacija I Kompromisno Resenje (VIKOR) as the method to be applied in the decision support system application. The VIKOR method is part of the Multi-Attibut Decision Making (MADM) Concept, which requires normalization in its calculations. Decision support system for selecting color guard with VIKOR and Borda methods. It has been made as a tool to select color guard at the Sei Rampah High School. The criteria used in the decision support system for color guard selection are: height, weight, agility, stamina, and body language. Color guard selection activities are a routine activity every year, so GINADA marching band coach Sei Rampah hereby selects to select permanent members in the marching band. Decision Support System in an organization can be seen as important in supporting the smooth running of activities and achieving an organizational goal. SPK can come in various forms, ranging from simple forms of data processing to complex application forms, and can also be used to accelerate and improve the quality of the decision-making process in the organization.

  Clinical decision support system (CDSS) is promising in assisting physicians for improving decision-making process and facilitates healthcare services. In medicine, causality has become the main concern throughout healthcare and decision-making. Causality is necessary for understanding all structures ofscientific reasoning and for providing a coherent and sufficient explanation for any event. However, thereare lack of existing CDSS that provide causal reasoning for the presented outcomes or decisions. Theseare necessary for showing reliability of the outcomes, and helping the physicians in making properdecisions. In this study, an ontology-based CDSS model is developed based on several key concepts andfeatures of causality and graphical modeling techniques. For the evaluation process, the Pellet reasoneris used to evaluate the consistency of the developed ontology model. In addition, an evaluation toolknown as Ontology Pitfall Scanner is used for validating the ontology model through pitfalls detection.The developed ontology-based CDSS model has potentials to be applied in clinical practice and helpingthe physicians in decision-making process. The scholarship selection process of Politeknik Negeri Samarinda are constraints on the decision-making process. This is because there is no objective method to determine quickly and precisely. To assist in the determination of the set someone worthy scholarship in this study will be design DSS (Decision Support System) with model of Multi-Criteria Decision Making. The method used is the method Profile Matching. Profile Matching methods have been able to select the best alternative from a number of alternatives, in this case meant that alternatives are eligible to receive scholarships based on the criteria specified. Research carried out by finding the weights for each sub-aspect, then carried ranking process that will determine the optimal alternative, the best students will be considered by decisionmakersto get a scholarship. Proses seleksi beasiswa di Politeknik Negeri Samarinda banyak terdapat kendala pada proses pengambilan keputusan. Hal ini dikarenakan belum ada metode objektif yang dapat memutuskan dengan cepat dan tepat. Untuk membantu penentuan dalam menetapkan seseorang yang layak menerima beasiswa maka dalam penelitian ini akan didesainkan DSS (Decision Support System) dengan model Multi Criteria Decision Making. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode Profile Matching. Metode Profile Matching dipilih karena mampu menyeleksi alternatif terbaik dari sejumlah alternatif, dalam hal ini alternatif yang dimaksudkan yaitu yang berhak menerima beasiswa berdasarkan kriteria-kriteria yang ditentukan. Penelitian dilakukan dengan mencari nilai bobot untuk setiap sub aspek, kemudian dilakukan proses perankingan yang akan menentukan alternatif yang optimal, yaitu mahasiswa terbaik yang akan dipertimbangkan oleh pengambil keputusan untuk mendapatkan beasiswa.

Education is an essential need and an important element to create a broad-minded youth. While in Indonesia, the rate of tuition fees is still imbalanced with the economic rate. Thus, many people decided to discontinue their higher education. Decision making plays an important role to manage organizations, including in educational institutions, as one of the main duties in managerial is making decisions. This study took place in a midwifery academy in Malang. In response to this situation, the academy has a policy to alleviate students by paying the tuition fees in instalments. However, many students are in arrears as the result of this policy. Thus, management needs to take some consideration before making a decision toward the problem. Those considerations require high accuracy and time consuming to process information that support decision making. Currently, the decision-making process in this academy is still semi-automated, in which some processes are still done manually, which affect longer time to make decisions, and the accuracy of calculations could not be fully guaranteed. According to this condition, the purpose of this research is to design a decision support system that enables us to process information for decision making and to offer decision alternatives for decision makers. This research employs Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with a decision table as a method to create decision alternatives. The prototype was developed using Visual Studio C#.Net. The result shows that by using the proposed prototype of DSS, decision makers can reduce 5-10 minutes of decision making process compared to the old semi-automated system which still required manual calculation and data collection and analysis before making the decision. A complete data and more detailed parameters for decision criteria are required to implement the proposed prototype of DSS in the institution with more objective consideration in the decision making process as the future work.

Firstly,we analysis the existing problem of the efficiency and expandability of the current system.Then, we study the knowledge management and the B/S model based on web technology.Based on this, a new model of decision support system is presented in this paper. The system is designed in four layers structure and on three library.Finally, the paper describes the structure of the system and gives the detailed steps of decision-making process.

Seorang calon mahasiswa yang ingin melanjutkan jenjang pendidikannya ke sekolah tinggi ilmu kesehatan bukan suatu persoalan yang mudah, banyak pertimbangan yang harus dipertimbangkan seperti biaya selama perkuliahan, lowongan perkerjaan, kerjasama kampus tersebut dengan instansi terkait, dan lain-lain. Sampel kriteria yang digunakan dalam perancangan prototipe sistem pendukung keputusan dalam memilih Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Kesehatan (STIKES) adalah kriteria yang didapatkan dari jawaban kuesioner sesuai dengan hasil uji validitas disetiap variable kriterianya. Proses pengambilan keputusan dalam memilih sekolah tinggi ilmu kesehatan ini menggunakan penggabungan 2 metode yaitu AHP dan F-AHP yang memiliki tujuan agar dapat mengurangi penilaian secara subyektivitas dan mengecek konsistensi logic antar kriteria maupun subkriteria, sehingga dapat menghasilkan ranking sekolah tinggi ilmu kesehatan yang lebih objektif, serta dapat membantu memberikan rekomendasi STIKES mana yang layak untuk dipilih.A prospective student who wants to continue his education to high school health science is not an easy matter, many considerations that must be taken into account as expenses for tuition , job vacancies , the campus co-operation with relevant agencies , and others . Sample criteria used in the design of a prototype decision support system in choosing the College of Health Sciences ( STIKES ) is the criterion obtained from the results of the questionnaire were tested for validity every variable criteria. The decision making process in choosing a high school health science using two methods , namely the incorporation of F - AHP and AHP which has the aim to reduce the subjectivity of assessment and check the consistency between the criteria and sub-criteria , so as to produce a high- ranking school objectives of health sciences , as well as STIKES can help provide recommendations which are feasible for selected.

For this reason, it is necessary to process employee assessment data that can help make it easier for a boss and the Payroll section to take a decision to recommend employees to take office. The method used to solve the problem of recommendation for promotion for employees by using the SMART method (Simple Multi Attribute Rating Technique) is a multi-attribute decision-making method used to support decision making in choosing between several alternatives. The criteria used in calculating the assessment are professional criteria, cooperation, leadership, innovation and ethics at work. Judging from the managerial aspects, the assessment can be developed with other criteria according to the needs of the company</span>
