With the advancement of technology today, there is known to be an innovation that is the internet of things where electronic devices can be monitored and controlled remotely. For this reason, the practicum module of internet of things-based lighting installation as a medium of learning for students. The workings of the tool will be made using the PZEM-004T sensor as a sensor reading the current voltage, power, and energy used and ESP-32 as an additional module on the Arduino Mega so that data reading voltage, current and power can be sent using the internet network to the smartphone. In the smartphone application, we can also control to extinguish or turn on the lights.

This paper presents a low-cost PV current-voltage or I-V curve tracer that has the Internet of Things (IoT) capability. Single ended primary inductance converter (SEPIC) is used to develop the I-V tracer, which is able to cope with rapidly changing irradiation conditions. The I-V tracer control software also has the ability to automatically adapt to the varying irradiation conditions. The performance of the I-V curve tracer is evaluated and verified using simulation and experimental tests.

The emergence of the internet of things in the smart homes has given rise to many services to meet the user's expectations. It is possible to control the temperature, the brightness, the sound system, and even the security of the house via a smartphone, at the request of the inhabitant or by scheduling it. This growing number of “things” must deal with material constraints such as home network infrastructure, but also applicative due to the number of proposed services. The heterogeneity of users' preferences often creates conflicts between them like turn on and off light or using a heater and an air conditioner in the same time. To manage these conflicts, the authors proposed a solution based on linked open data (LOD). The LOD allows defining the relation between the different services and things in the house and a better exploitation of the attributes of the inhabitant's profile and services. It consists to find inconsistency relation between the equipment using the antonym thesaurus.

With the advent of the World Wide Web, the smartphone and the Internet of Things, not only society but also the sciences are rapidly changing. In particular, the social sciences can profit from these digital developments, because now scientists have the power to study real-life human behavior via smartphones and other devices connected to the Internet of Things on a large-scale level. Although this sounds easy, scientists often face the problem that no practicable solution exists to participate in such a new scientific movement, due to a lack of an interdisciplinary network. If so, the development time of a new product, such as a smartphone application to get insights into human behavior takes an enormous amount of time and resources. Given this problem, the present work presents an easy way to use a smartphone application, which can be applied by social scientists to study a large range of scientific questions. The application provides measurements of variables via tracking smartphone–use patterns, such as call behavior, application use (e.g., social media), GPS and many others. In addition, the presented Android-based smartphone application, called Insights, can also be used to administer self-report questionnaires for conducting experience sampling and to search for co-variations between smartphone usage/smartphone data and self-report data. Of importance, the present work gives a detailed overview on how to conduct a study using an application such as Insights, starting from designing the study, installing the application to analyzing the data. In the present work, server requirements and privacy issues are also discussed. Furthermore, first validation data from personality psychology are presented. Such validation data are important in establishing trust in the applied technology to track behavior. In sum, the aim of the present work is (i) to provide interested scientists a short overview on how to conduct a study with smartphone app tracking technology, (ii) to present the features of the designed smartphone application and (iii) to demonstrate its validity with a proof of concept study, hence correlating smartphone usage with personality measures.

The internet of Things (IOT) is always giving unprecedented answers for the customary issues looked by man.One of the real obstacles in city is we are spending huge expenses on street light. To control the street lights based on detection of sunlight by implemented with smart embedded system. The paper is mainly utilized for smart and climate adaptive lighting in street lights. The street lights are automatically ON during the evening time and automatically OFF during day time. The street light can be accessed to turn ON or OFF at anyplace and anytime through web.In addition to that On top of the street light we are placing camera to track the activities performed on the street and where the recordings are stored in a server. Furthermore a panic button is placed on the pole, If there is any emergency situations like harassment, robbery there is a panic button is available at the reachable height any person can press it if he is in danger. If people are unable to press the panic button, they should use voice recognition which is connected to panic button, when it recognises some commands like help, it automatically press the panic button. Whenever the panic button is pressed, the footages at that time recorded by the camera is sent straightforwardly to the cloud account. The near specific police headquarters can have access of the account by which they can see the incident’s spot. Every region's street lights are associated with the specific area's police headquarters and cloud account can be accessible by each of them. Here GSMTechnology is eliminated completely.Safety and energy consumptions can be ensured by this idea.

Internet of Things (IoT) is a concept with the aim of expanding internet network connectivity that is connected to a global network. The Internet of Things (IoT) can be used to remotely control electronic devices such as lights and air conditioners via the internet. This study aims to create a control device that utilizes internet network technology and uses the telegram application to carry out the control process. There are four control features, namely lamp control which is used to turn on one lamp, the second feature is overall lamp control to turn on all lamps at one time, the third feature controls turning on and off the AC, the fourth feature can monitor lamps and the AC is on or off . The research method used in the manufacture of this control device is the Prototype method, which is considered very suitable for use and this device uses the nodeMCU ES8266 microcontroller. The results of this study are the use of Telegram can help and facilitate users or users in monitoring and controlling lights and air conditioners when not in the house.

The Internet of Things connects various electronic devices and these can range from the expensive, such as cars or computers, to the mundane, such as toasters or light bulbs and this creates a major security problem. While attention is paid to the complex expensive items, the inexpensive items, although connected to the same network, are often overlooked. With a desperate race to produce more for less and to connect more items to the network, these inexpensive items are overlooked, never updated and in many cases, are downright dangerous when connected to a network and this makes the Internet insecure for everyone else.

The fourth industrial revolution represents smarter systems, faster and more optimized system of artificial intelligence, which involves control systems and sensors networks. In this paper, the concept of the Internet of Things (IoT) was applied preliminarily to create the connection between machine and the user, using a sensor, a processor such as Raspberry Pi, and IoT platform application such as Blynk in the smartphone. The simple IR 4.0 prototype system and IoT apps were developed in order to create a connection between sensors and user through the internet consisting of a temperature and humidity sensor, which is DHT11 and a Raspberry Pi 3 Model B. The smartphone application would be developed through the Blynk application for this simple prototype system. The graphical user interface GUI was built within the Blynk app and link it to the sensor which is already connected to the Raspberry Pi. The analysis that was done upon the system is by varying the stimuli to the sensors, which is a hairdryer with three levels of heat and observe the relative change of the reading of temperature and percentage of humidity on the apps. Therefore, the preliminary result shows an increase in temperature as the heat level increases. On the other hand, the percentage of humidity becomes lower as the temperature goes higher. Based on the results and the analysis, it had shown that the IR 4.0 prototype system of IoT monitoring can connect between the sensor and the smartphone application with real-time monitoring through the internet.

The Internet of Things (IoT) is a technology that encompasses electronic devices that have embedded technologies, sensors and connection to the Internet network, capable of collecting, processing, transmitting data and sharing information among each other, in order to transform data into information for decision making. On the other hand, there are still urban challenges facing cities where IoT can contribute. Aiming to support this theme, this study developed a systematic mapping of the literature on IoT and the main challenges faced by Brazilian cities, pointing out existing initiatives and alternatives of how IoT can help to solve them. The results showed evidence of practical applications on the use of IoT as a solution to the challenges in the cities. In addition, these results suggest the feasibility of using IoT in the solution of these problems.
