This paper aimed to show the EFL classroom activities for children with hearing impairment conducted by the teacher, the teacher’s consideration in designing and implementing the EFL classroom activities, and challenges faced by the teacher in developing EFL classroom activities. The study was qualitative in nature. The data collected through observation, interview, and documentation. Additionally, this paper applied Miles and Huberman model to analyze the research data through some steps, namely, data reduction, data display and drawing a conclusion. In this research, the researcher observed the teaching process and interview the English teacher for children with hearing impairment at the eighth graders of SLB (Education of physically and mentally handicapped children) Negeri Metro. The results indicated that the teacher designed, and implemented the EFL classroom activities based on the students’ characteristics, needs, and abilities such as selecting the activity which provides instruments especially visual supports, modifying the classroom environment. Moreover, the teacher also faced the children’s limitations as her challenges but she had her own way to overcome the challenges such as giving a simple and easy activity and maximum visual supports to the students in the activity.

The purpose of this case study was to describe the dynamics of special interests development in an autistic student at Dian Amanah Special School Yogyakarta. This study collected data about: 1) form of special interests; 2) model of interest’s development; 3) and consequence of special interests. Data were collected by observation, interview, and documentation technique. Data were analyzed data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusion/verification. The results showed 1) subject has 2 form of special interests on music and people; 2) special interests on music triggered by family and persisted by maintenance factor such as environmental opportunity, perception of ability, cognitive reward, and emotional reward while special interests on people triggered by other interests and persisted by maintenance factor such as environmental opportunity, cognitive reward, and emotional reward; 3) special interests on music viewed positively because there was perception of ability while SI on people viewed negatively due to behavioral problem.

The purpose of this article is to provide an overview of the ability to read early for children with hearing impairment in Extraordinary Kindergarten in DKI Jakarta. This research is motivated by the limitations of the language possessed by children with hearing impairment due to hearing difficulties they experience. Due to hearing impairments, children with hearing impairment does not experience the acquisition of language, so they experience various problems, one of which is learning to read. Characteristically children with hearing impairment use the visual senses in learning to read the beginning. Reading the beginning for deaf children begins with the process of identifying words through images and writing in the form of visualization. The research method used is a case study. This research was conducted at Pangudi Luhur Special School in March-April 2017. Based on the results of the research, the reading ability of children with hearing impairment is still low and the ability of nouns dominates in reading the beginning, so it needs to be optimized using special media specifically designed to read the beginning.    References Allen, K. This research was intended to describe the strategies used by the teacher in teaching TOEFL preparation to support the students especially listening skill, the steps the teacher to implementing the strategies teacher, and the problem faced in enhancement 25% listening score in listening skill. This methodology was qualitative research with case study, the subject of the research was English teacher TOEFL preparation in EF Course Cilegon. The collecting data of this research used data display, data reduction and conclusion focus this research is strategies in teaching listening section in TOEFL and sub focus are direct and indirect in teaching listening section in TOEFL Preparation. The result strategies of this research are used simulation, discussions, giving tips and tricks, the course used ICT modern era, games, and motivation, the conclusion is There are some statements for the student participant about teacher strategies in teaching TOEFL Preparation. They are: First, teacher strategies can improve confidence in good speaker and listener. Second, teacher strategies can make students feel easier to take exam TOEFL. Third, the student often listening native speakers to understand can be enhanced. Fourth, the student can be more active how take TOEFL be well. the last, the student knows how to know type question in TOEFL especially listening section of the strategies. The writer found sixth strategies used by the EF Cilegon to teach TOEFL Preparation especially listening section.

Discussion in ethics of business activity poped out to minimize cheating and fraud. But actually, business ethics felt difficult to apply in practice. Modern Islamic Boarding School Darussalam Gontor as one of the self-help Islamic Boarding Schools supported by cooperatives in pesantren (koppontren) in their activities. This paper aims to understand the application of Islamic buseness ethic in Koppontren La-Tansa Gontor. This research uses mix method which is sequential explanatory design and case study, questionnaires, interviews, observation and documentation used to collecting data in this research. Data analysis was performed through data reduction, data display, and data verification. The results of this research can be explained as: first, La-Tansa cooperatives sector Gontor can run the business activities with the implementation of business ethics according to the Qur’an and Sunnah values. Appear from the height understanding of the business to the axiom business ethics and the height application in business activities in each business sector. Second, the character of kyai and business unit supervisor are high. According to the data, showed that a level of the heigh direction is 80 persent and control on the application of business ethics is 72 percent. Thus, the Islamic buseness ethic can be applied on firm’s and goverment’s law with height understanding and controlling.

<p>This research investigates the use of code-switching by the teacher in English class of SMP Negeri 4 Surakarta in the academic year 2015/2016. The subject of this research is the English teacher and the students of three classes in grade VII. The focus of this research is the teacher's code-switching covering the types, reasons/motivations, and the functions of code-switching. This research uses a qualitative method in the form of case study. Furthermore, the technique of analyzing data used in this research is interactive model consists of data reduction, data display, and conclusion/verification. The data in this research are teachers’ utterances, students’ utterances, and interview statements that are obtained from observation and interview. The implementation of code-switching in SMP Negeri 4 is a common practice since it brings an advantage to English teaching and learning process.</p>

This case study investigated the difficulties faced by an English teacher in implementing the scientific approach at one selected school in the district of Agam in West Sumatera, Indonesia. This qualitative research used semi-structured interview questions and an observation checklist as the instruments, with an English teacher as the data source. This study showed that the selected secondary English teacher in MTsN 3 Agam encountered eight significant difficulties in dealing with the implementation of stages of the scientific approach based on the 2013 curriculum in classroom activities. The English teacher’s difficulties included: (1) to determine the object that will be observed; (2) to determine how the way data recorded; (3) encouraging the students to ask; (4) to make the various media as the information resources; (5) deciding the duration of students to do the experiment activity; (6) to divide the time for evaluation; (7) to organize the student to analyze; (8) encouraging the student to present their work in front of the class. This study serves as a reminder for the preparation suitable strategies needed in adapting not only to the general teaching process, but also to the possible changes in the curriculum.

This study aims to analyze neuroscience-based Arabic learning media at SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta. Implementation to students so they can memorize mufrodat, and practice muhadasah Arabic. The type of research used in this research is qualitative. The research subjects were teachers and students. Determination of research subjects is done by using purposive sampling. Data collection techniques were carried out using interview, observation, and documentation methods. The validity of this research data using triangulation. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman model, namely by data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification data. The results of the study of neuroscience-based Arabic learning media that were applied in the classroom were identifying students with five (mufrodat). In addition, each student memorized five (mufrodat), and practice (muhadasah) with his classmates. directed by the teacher who responds to the student's brain. Learning media, in the form of videos in which it is more directed to the students' brains as the focus of learning Arabic. The Arabic learning video contains mufrodat material that is easy for students to memorize and practice. Facilitate students in memorizing mufrodat namely in maharah qiro'ah, kitabah, istima', and kalam. It means, students can read Arabic mufrodat or quwa'id correctly, students can write Arabic mufrodat or quwa'id with imla', students can listen to mufrodat correctly, and continued students can apply muhadasah fluently.

This research explored dream science classrooms of primary school third-and fourth-grade students. Research is designed as a case study. The students were first asked to illustrate their dream science classroom and produce a short description of their drawings. Second, they were asked to write their expectations of their teachers, their classmates, and themselves in their science classes. Three hundred and twelve participants were identified using the convenience sampling method. The research evaluated the students’ drawings and descriptions in the first step, and their expectations in the second step. Students, in their drawings, conveyed the following messages: Experiments (lab works) could be used in science education, and different classroom activities and science courses could be done outside the classroom. In addition, they expected their teachers to have them perform more experiments in the classes, to offer them interesting and intriguing knowledge, to encourage them to conduct research and projects, and ask questions. Their expectations of their classmates to follow the classroom rules, to work in collaboration, to share, and to appreciate them so that they can benefit from science classes more efficiently. They expected themselves to be successful in science classes. Keywords: classroom environment, learning environment, science class, science teaching, student drawings.

                This research deals with teacher’s feedback in teaching speaking at the seventh grade of SMPN 4 Ponorogo. This research was conducted for several purposes. They are: 1) to know the implementation of teacher’s feedback in teaching speaking at the seventh grade of SMPN 4 Ponorogo, 2) to know students’ response to the teacher’s feedback in teaching speaking at the seventh grade of SMPN 4 Ponorogo. The researcher applied qualitative research approach and the case study was the research design. In this research, the researcher analyzed the data by Mattew B Miles and Michael Hubberman’s; data reduction, data display, and conclusion and verifications data.  It is a methodological on data analysis which involved an interview, an observation, and a documentation. Then both English teacher and the students especially 7G and 7H classes of SMPN 4 Ponorogo were the source and the object of this study. The findings of this study clarified that: (1) the English teacher implemented this feedback by giving tasks and inviting performance. Starting by the teacher chose the task and read the task to give the example of how to pronounce the words. Then the students should immitate it and improve their speaking of what they have took from the text in front of the class. While enjoying the students’ performance, the teacher took the scores and gave the feedback. It concluded on oral and written feedback. Something difference on this point than other points of feedback, the teacher applied on excellent point which is same as 10 scores in 1 point. Focusing on lower students to motivate their English skills and upgrading the students (the middle and the upper one) were the teacher’s goal in this strategy implementation. (2) the students’ response was very positive. It is shown when the researcher looked at the students were very active during doing the assignments. Through this feedback, the students can get several points in learning English such as feeling motivated and appreciated, getting an active assessment, and getting additional scores to upgrade their low scores. In the end, the researcher concluded that the teacher’s feedback applied positively in increasing students’ speaking ability.
