Background. Mushrooms are a food that is often considered as an important source of minerals and other nutrients for consumers. There is little data on the minerals in mushrooms processed culinary and on the impact of processing. Objective. The research was aimed at understanding the similarities and differences in the mineral composition (Hg, Li, Mg, Al, Co, Ni, Cu, As, Se, Rb, Sr, Ag, Cd, Cs, Sb, Tl, Pb, U, Ba, Cr, Zn, Mn and V) of white button mushrooms (Agaricus bisporus) processed in industrial conditions. Material and methods. Fungal materials came from six producers. The elements were determined by ICP-MS DRC and CV-AAS using validated methods and QA/QC protocol. The interdependencies of 18 elements and 10 batches of mushrooms examined were tested with the help of principal component analysis. Results. Some significant differences were found in the content and composition of minerals in marinated white button mushrooms depending on producer. Conserved white button mushrooms are poorer in major essential elements but also in toxic Hg, As, Ag, Cd, Sb, Tl or Pb which has been reported for unprocessed mushrooms. Conclusions. The relatively higher levels of Ag in some batches seem to be largely explained by the quality of the substrate used for mushrooms cultivation, while of Li, Rb, Cs, Cr, Al, U, V, As and Mn (in part also of Ba and Sr) largely by the quality of the marinade.

In the present work the use of treated wastewater (TWW) to irrigate olive plants was monitored. This type of water is characterized by high salinity and retains a substantial amount of trace elements, organic and metallic compounds that can be transferred into the soil and into the plants and fruits. In order to evaluate the impact of TWW on the overall quality of the oils, the time of contact of the olives with the soil has been taken into account. Multi-element data were obtained using ICP-MS. Nineteen elements (Li, B, Na, Mg, Al, K, Ca, Sc, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Sr, Mo, Ba and La) were submitted for statistical analysis. Using analysis of variance, linear discriminant analysis and principal component analysis it was possible to differentiate between oils produced from different batches of olives whose plants received different types of water. Also, the results showed that there was correlation between the elemental and mineral composition of the water used to irrigate the olive plots and the elemental and mineral composition of the oils.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to analyse the influence of service quality dimensions as determinants of the emotional and relational behaviours experienced by the client in bank branches in the post-crisis context experienced by Spanish financial institutions. Design/methodology/approach Data taken from a total of 1,125 customers were analysed through structural equations modelling (EQS6.1) to test the relationships of the proposed model’s variables. Findings The results support the hypotheses stated, with the exception of the influence of a service quality dimension (servicescape) on emotions during the service. In fact, the dimensions of the service quality of an intangible nature (personnel, outcome and social) are determinants of the positive emotions and relational behaviours of clients around the service provided by the branches. For its part, servicescape quality, of a more tangible nature, exerts indirect influence on the other dimensions that compose the quality of service. Practical implications This paper provides senior bank executives established evidence on the degree of influence of the different dimensions in relation to the quality of service in the bank branch. Furthermore, it emphasises the importance of emotional factors during service as essential elements in strengthening customer–staff relationships under a non-transactional dynamic. Originality/value This paper has adopted an analytical holistic, theoretical and empirical perspective on the impact of the different dimensions of service quality (servicescape, personnel, outcome and social) as well as to the emotions experienced by banking customers during services and its lasting effect on customer engagement and customer advocacy.

Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the completeness and legibility of prescriptions dispensed in community pharmacies located in Sana’a, Yemen. Materials and Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted at 23 randomly selected community pharmacies throughout the capital city of Sana’a, Yemen, from May 2015 to January 2016. A total of 2,178 prescriptions were analyzed for the essential elements of a complete prescription using a validated checklist. Results: Of the 2,178 prescriptions, 19 (0.87%) were considered to be of good quality. The remaining 2,159 (99.12%) were considered as being of very poor quality. Writing errors relating to patients and prescribed medications were the most common errors. Conclusion: In this study, the quality of prescription writing was found to be very poor. Hence, continuous professional development programs are recommended to improve the quality of prescription writing among physicians. Future studies in other cities and investigation of the impact of continuous educational programs on the quality of prescription writing are strongly recommended.

Metallic contamination is a major challenge in multiple semiconductor processes, including photolithography and wet etch and cleans (WEC). Though there are several contributors to metallic contamination, significant efforts have focused on improving the incoming quality of process chemicals, especially commodity chemicals. Another key contributor to on-wafer metallic contamination is water (H2O), which is used to dilute most aqueous chemicals. Single Particle Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectroscopy (SP-ICP-MS), a technique relying on time-based resolution of pulses generated during a standard ICP-MS analysis, is used to aid the understanding of metal particle contamination in water and process chemicals.In this paper, we studied water and 30% Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2), two of the most widely used chemicals across all WEC processes. We used a high purity grade of 30% H2O2, further diluted to a typical use concentration (5% by volume) using two grades of Deionized Water (unfiltered and filtered) where the concentration of metallic particles was the key variable. The metals studied included Iron (Fe), Chromium (Cr), Zinc (Zn), Titanium (Ti), Nickel (Ni) and Aluminum (Al), representing some of the most commonly observed metallic contaminants in H2O2 and water. After analyzing the distribution of contaminants in the chemicals, filters were introduced into the system to observe the impact of filtration on metal removal. The importance of filtration on the overall quality of the diluted process chemical was demonstrated by using a Polysulfone (PS) membrane to filter the lower grade Deionized Water (DIW).

Highlights A new background segmentation algorithm for depth image was developed. Cap diameter of white button mushroom was measured automatically. The average of diameter measurement error was 4.94%. This work can provide online decision support for selectively harvesting of Agaricus bisporus . Abstract. With the increase in the production and yield of white button mushrooms (Agaricus bisporus), efficient harvesting has become a challenge. Automatic selective harvesting has gradually become a solution. The diameter of the mushroom cap is an essential indicator of the harvesting standard. To provide guidance for selective harvesting, this article presents a method for target detection and measuring the diameter of mushroom caps by using depth image processing. According to the three-dimensional structure characteristics of the mushroom, a novel method is proposed to segment it from the compost it grows on. In this method, compost is regarded as the floor of the sea and mushrooms as standing islands. With the rise of sea level, the compost is gradually submerged, and the target of Agaricus bisporus is stable. These features were used to realize the background segmentation. After background segmentation, the pixel coordinates of the contour points of the mushroom caps are transformed into world coordinates, and the cap diameter is measured by Hough transform. In total, 380 mushrooms depicted in 25 depth images were used to test the developed algorithms. The results showed that 92.37% of the mushrooms were correctly detected. The missed detection rate was less than 8%, and the false detection rate was 1.96%. The average diameter measurement error was 4.94%, and the average process time to measure a single mushroom was approximately 0.50 s. The method proposed in this article can provide online decision support for automatic selective harvesting of Agaricus bisporus, which can improve the quality and efficiency of its production.
