Our society is nowadays evolving towards a digital era, due to the extensive use of computer technologies and their interconnection mechanisms, i.e., social networks, Internet resources, IoT services, etc. This way, new threats and vulnerabilities appear. Therefore, there is an urgent necessity of training students in the topic of cybersecurity, in which practical skills have to be acquired. In distance education, the inclusion of on-line resources for hands-on activities in its curricula is a key step in meeting that need. This work presents several contributions. First, the fundamentals of a virtual remote laboratory hosted in the cloud are detailed. This laboratory is a step forward since the laboratory combines both virtualization and cloud paradigms to dynamically create emulated environments. Second, this laboratory has also been integrated into the practical curricula of a cybersecurity subject, as an additional on-line resource. Third, the students’ traceability, in terms of their interactions with the laboratory, is also analyzed. Psychological TAM/UTAUT factors (perceived usefulness, estimated effort, social influence, attitude, ease of access) that may affect the intention of using the laboratory are analyzed. Fourth, the degree of satisfaction is analyzed with a great impact, since the mean values of these factors are most of them higher than 4 points out of 5. In addition to this, the students’ acceptance of the presented technology is exhaustively studied. Two structural equation models have been hypothesized and validated. Finally, the acceptance of the technology can be concluded as very good in order to be used in other Engineering contexts. In this sense, the calculated statistical values for the improved proposed model are within the expected ranges of reliability (X2 = 0.6, X2/DF = 0.3, GFI = 0.985, CIF = 0.985, RMSEA = 0) by considering the literature.

This chapter examines the role of transformational leadership in transforming the learning organization into an innovative one. Important features of the leader, such as the ability to assist in developing and accommodating the implementation of knowledge management programs, learning organization concepts, and innovation protocols, are discussed in this chapter. This chapter demonstrates that shifting from learning organization to become an innovative company could involve some unique attributes of a transformation leadership. In that regard, the chapter also demonstrates that organizations need first to create, capture, transfer, and mobilize knowledge before it can be used for learning and then for innovation. The chapter presents a method of studying how successful innovation leaders of companies could find themselves acting in three roles, namely knowledge leader, learning leader, and then innovation leader. The leadership styles and characteristics that could transform the organisation from learning to innovation are discussed. The type of innovative leadership required to enhance the organizational performance is also highlighted. This chapter provides details for understanding innovative leadership based on the concepts for leadership characteristics and styles. The chapter also discusses different leadership styles and the proposed model of innovative leadership used by most firms in their efforts to improve performance. This chapter examines whether the attributes of leaders and styles of leadership could also influence the behaviour of some leaders towards the transformation from learning to innovation settings.

The major purpose of this conceptual paper is to integrate the view points of different researchers about leaning organization and competitive advantage and then to develop a proposed model of Learning organization. After the in-depth study of literature we concluded that learning organization is an organization which learns through its members individually and collectively to create competitive advantages by developing a facilitative system through the process of self-development and information sharing by empowering the employees.. The paper also finds some critical factors which must be present in the organization to become a learning organization. These factors are Innovation, facilitative leadership, self-development, empowerment, and information sharing and collective collaboration. The paper tried to explain the similarities and differences among the previously available models of learning organization and proposed a new theoretical model for LO.


In digital era, Indonesia as democratic country needs to implement e-voting for presidential and governor election. Some countries have implement e-voting and two of them are more populated than Indonesia. E-voting can make voting process and vote distribution better. In this paper we proposed IT infrastructure for e-voting using load balancing, cryptography, and block chain. Also this proposed model can be discussed further about application and system replication to produce similar data from all servers.

As digital technologies development continues, as the risk for existing business in all industries increases due to the new innovated, digital-based products and services that are changing market conditions. Digital transformation strategy enables incumbent firms to keep their existence in the digital era. However, firms need first to assess their readiness for digital transformation strategy requirements. The lack of agreed model that explains the process of digital transformation strategy in general and on firm’s readiness for this strategy were enough justifications for the researcher to conduct this study. The researcher fills this gap by proposing new model for digital transformation readiness. The study also examines a mediation role for dynamic capabilities in reconfiguring operational capabilities in a firm so that to enhance its readiness for digital transformation strategy. The findings of this research shall empirically validate the proposed model and it will reveal the role of dynamic capabilities in improving firm’s digital transformation readiness. The research indicates that dynamic capabilities are developed by other organizational capabilities such as culture values and ICT capabilities. It also points to the essential role of dynamic capabilities in adapting operational capabilities for any market change. Organizations shall prepare themselves for digital transformation strategy by focusing on developing capabilities needed for this strategy to reduce the risk of failure. The proposed model can be considered as a significant contribution in the area of the digital transformation strategy. The model in practical wise will help managers to assess their firm’s readiness for digital transformation strategy and fill any gap identified. The proposed model for digital transformation readiness is recommended to be further extended to include more effecting factors including technological and environmental factors.

This paper used learning theory and path-goal theory to propose a learning leadership model.  The practical side of these two theories is suitable for this proposed model, its agenda, and its tools for improving organizational learning.  The model is based on the assumption that leaders need to develop their competences and the competences of subordinates by creating a continuous learning process through sharing, exchanging, and improving knowledge and experiences.  The model states that learning leaders act as facilitators of the organizational learning process and adopt the right attitude to motivate subordinates for learning by removing obstacles and creating a learning culture.

It has been shown for some time that it is possible to obtain images of small unstained proteins, with a resolution of approximately 5Å using dark field electron microscopy (1,2). Applying this technique, we have observed a uniformity in size and shape of the 2-dimensional images of pure specimens of fish protamines (salmon, herring (clupeine, Y-l) and rainbow trout (Salmo irideus)). On the basis of these images, a model for the 3-dimensional structure of the fish protamines has been proposed (2).The known amino acid sequences of fish protamines show stretches of positively charged arginines, separated by regions of neutral amino acids (3). The proposed model for protamine structure (2) consists of an irregular, right-handed helix with the segments of adjacent arginines forming the loops of the coil.
