This study aims to study the effect of composition of doses of chicken manure and rice husk ash on the growth and production of soybean (Glycine max) on peat soils. This research was conducted in the month of February 2013 to June 2013 in the Tembilahan Hulu Village, Tembilahan Hulu District, Indragiri Hilir Regency. Initial soil analysis was carried out at the BPTP Yogyakarta Laboratory. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 3 replications and 3 replications, namely without treatment and treatment of chicken manure doses in the same 3 treatments namely 2500 kg / ha, for rice husk ash using 500 kg / ha, 1000 kg / ha and 1500 kg / ha, so that the combination can be repeated in 3 replications so that there are 12 experimental units, each experimental unit consists of 10 plant pots. The parameters observed were soil chemical properties, plant height, number of effective root nodules (100%), percentage of pithed pods, number of seeds / plants, weight of 100 seeds (grams). The data can be analyzed statistically, if the F count is greater than the F table followed by the Tukey HSD test at the 5% level. The results showed that the combination of chicken manure and rice husk ash was significantly different from plant height and weight of 100 seeds. In the parameters of the number of effective root nodules (100%), the percentage of effective root nodules, the percentage of pithed pods, the dry weight of seeds / plants, showed no significant effect. The best weight of 100 soybean seeds is found in the combination dose of 2500 kg chicken / ha chicken manure and 1000 kg / ha of rice husk ash which is 16.20 g.

The method used in this study was compiled in a factorial randomized block design consisting of 2 factors with 3 replications. Treatment I: Giving rice husk ash (M) with 4 dose levels (g / 5 kg BTKO), namely: M0 (0), M1 (10 ), M2 (20) and M3 (30) and Treatment II: Giving rice straw (K) compost with 4 dose levels (g / 5 kg BTKO), namely: K0 (0), K1 (25), K2 (50), K3 (75). The data obtained were statistically analyzed based on analysis of variance on each observed variable that was measured and tested further for real treatment using the Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at the 5% level. Lettuce vegetables (Lactuca sativa L.) much needed by the community to meet the nutritional needs, but lettuce production is still low because of low productivity. Increasing the quality and quantity of vegetables grown on polybags is by fertilizing and arranging the composition of the planting medium. Provision of fertilizer aims to increase the supply of nutrients needed plants to boost the production and quality of crops. Fertilizer is to provide or add nutrients that plants need. However, fertilizer will tend to cause high production value and less appropriate with vegetable planting at home, therefore more optimized setting the composition of planting media. Planting media should be able to provide nutrients needed by plants. Farmers use plant residual organic materials such as rice husk as and cockpit for vegetable cultivation. The rice husk is the outermost part of the grain. The rice husk ash usually contains N 0.32%, P 0.15%, K 0.31%, Ca 0.96%, Fe 180 ppm, Mn 80.4 ppm Zn 14.10 ppm and pH 6, 8 which is expected to meet the needs of plant nutrients. The study was prepared using a complete randomized design with one factor that is the addition of planting media in the form of rice husk ash with the proportion of top soil and rice husk ash as follows: M1 (3: 1), M2 (2: 2), and M3 (1: 3). The observed variables were stem height, crown dry weight, and root dry weight. Data analysis used F Test 5% and continued with Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) 5%. The results obtained at plant height of M3 (1: 3) gave the best result where there was a plant height increase of 40 cm from the first day of planting until the third day, the addition of rice husk ash did not affect the addition of root dry weight and dry weight of crown.

The Effect of Cow Manure With Various Bioactivators And Giving Beef Broth To The Growth And Yield Of Soybeans (Glicine Max L. Merril) Supervised by Dwi fitriani, SP. MP and Dr.Ir.Ririn Harini,MP. The purpose of this study was to determine the interaction and effect of cow manure with various bioactivators and broth. This research was conducted in Pondok Kubang District, Central Bengkulu Regency, Bengkulu Province. The design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) factorial treatment 1, namely cow manure with various bioactivators A0 (Control) A1 (Yeast) A2 (Stale Rice) A3 (Rumen). The second treatment was giving control broth, 100 ml/L, 150 ml/L, 200 ml/L. Each treatment was repeated 3 times in order to obtain 48 experimental units by planting 3 plants for each experimental unit to obtain 144 plants. The results showed that the treatment of cow manure with various bioactivators had a significant effect on the parameters of leaf number 56 DAP, number of branches 56 DAP, number of root nodules, number of pithy pods, dry weight of planting, weight of planted seeds, weight of 100 seeds. and has not shown any effect on other parameters.

Potential development of medicinal plants in Karanganyar is very large, because this area is famous as a center of medicinal plants such as ginger, turmeric, kencur, and temulawak. In the development of medicinal plants, the approach of organic cultivation is one of the alternatives that can be done to achieve the business. Therefore the application of technology to society about organic farming on Biopharmaca Cluster of Karanganyar was conducted with the aim to apply organic cultivation techniques that have resulted from previous studies, so it can be applied by the community to increase income and welfare. This application of technology to society activity is held in Sambirejo, Jumantono, Karanganyar. The research was conducted from March to October 2016. The results showed that the application of chicken manure affects the number of leaves, number of tillers, and the fresh weight of turmeric rhizome. The addition of manure (chicken, goat, cow) can increase all variables of planting growth which include plant height, number of leaf, number of tillers, fresh weight of plant, dry weight of plant, and fresh weight of rhizomes. Giving three types of manure (chicken, goat, cow) with mycorrhizal dose treatment there is no intraction to some growth observation variables. Mycorrhizal treatment with a dose of 10 g/plant can increase the number of tillers in turmeric. Overall the application of mycorrhizal at various doses (5, 10, and 15 g/plant) can increase plant height, leaf number, number of tillers, and fresh weight of turmeric rhizome.

Soil existing at a particular site may not be appropriate for construction of engineering structures. The present study made an attempt to enhance the geotechnical properties of a soil replaced with industrial wastes having pozzolanic value like rice husk ash (RHA) and fly ash (FA). Soil is replaced with RHA in 2%, 4%, and 6% to dry weight of soil. It is observed that soil replaced with 4% RHA is the optimum for the soil used in this study from geotechnical point of view. To know the influence of fly ash, soil is further replaced with 4% FA along with 4% RHA. It is found that results of soil replacement by both RHA and FA proved to be soil modification and not the improvement. Hence, a cost-effective accelerator like lime is used for further replacing the above soil-4%, RHA-4% FA mix. The optimum lime content is found to be 4%.

The aim of this work was to prepare mesoporous silicas derived from rice husk ash (RHA) using three different depolymerizing agents; glycerol, 1,3 propanediol and 1,4 butanediol. The reaction of RHA with different depolymerizing agents was carried out between 200-250°C for 2 hrs. The solution was then hydrolyzed with deionized water to obtain gels. After a few washing step, gels were oven-dried and calcined at 500 °C for 24 hrs. Prepared mesoporous silicas were then characterized using Nitrogen adsorption-desorption measurement, FTIR, TGA, SEM, XRD and XRF. The percent hydrophobicity was determined based on the amount of moisture absorbed using TGA. It was shown that RHA reacted with depolymerizing agents above 200°C to form gels, which, after hydrolysis and calcination, still maintained the mesoporous characteristics. The BET and SEM results indicated that the RHA reacted with 1,3 propanediol had highest pore volume (0.95 cm3/g) and specific surface area (129.30 m2/g) compared to RHA reacted with glycerol and 1,4 butanediol. The distribution of pores computed from BJH desorption branch was also more uniform. FTIR indicated that there was no significant change in the chemical structure of RHA reacted with different depolymerizing agents. The residual C-H bands were found in FTIR spectra for all prepared mesoporous silicas. TGA thermograms confirmed the existence of organic residues (below 2 %wt), which might result from incomplete elimination even after calcination. This was found to be an important factor affecting the hydrophobic property of the reacted RHA. The hydrophobicity of RHA may be tailored by controlling depolymerizing agents and organic residues. Depolymerizing agents with longer carbon chains also favoured the hydrophobic characteristics.
