Some countries much use English as an international language all over the world. Unfortunately, the use of English in some countries is different from each other.  In this case, Indonesia uses English as a foreign language. There are four English skills, listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The mastery of vocabulary is a vital aspect in learning a language; we will not be able to speak to read, and write any language if we do not master it in vocabulary. Therefore, vocabulary has an essential role because it is his primary instrument of language. The student's mastery of English vocabulary is still low. Some factors that cause why the students' vocabulary is still low are the teacher's technique that does not motivate students in learning English. Instrument of the collecting data used by the writer is observation, interview, and test. In doing research, the writer uses a quantitative approach. It means that the data being obtained are presented by number and then interpreted by using statistical analysis. The conclusion of the research is the application of mastery of vocabulary on ability in making paraphrase. It is is know the result the student' of the mastery of vocabulary (X variable) in the average of 71.142 and the result the students' of ability in making paraphrase (Y variable) in the average of 68.00. Correlation of C variable on Y variable showing 0.418%. It means that 0.418 is enough to influence the correlation between applying the students' mastery of vocabulary on their ability to make paraphrase.

Arabic has many virtues. The first virtue of Arabic is that it is part of Islam. Then, Arabic as one of the old languages in the world has an amazing history of civilization. Furthermore, Arabic is an international language that has been used as one of the official languages of the United Nations since 1973. Because of these advantages, Arabic is interesting to be studied and researched by non-Arabs including by Indonesians. Arabic is studied, in addition to the purpose or because of the factors of Islam, also because of the factors of world life, for the demands of work or profession and so forth. Arabic is also one of the three old languages in the world that still exists and is used in various fields of life. The close relationship between Indonesia and Arab countries, which numbered 22 countries, also encouraged Arabic to be studied by the Indonesian population. Arabic is a part of a language that is easily learned by anyone including Indonesian people. The teaching of Arabic as a foreign language is intended so that one can master this language from various aspects: listening, speaking, reading and writing. For Indonesians, the many similarities between the Indonesian and Arabic systems both at the level of phonology, morphology, syntax, and semantics will be enough to help them learn the language which includes Semito-Hamit field.

Currently, learning English cannot be separated from the classroom process. By learning English, students will be easier to communicate and compete to other students over the world. It happens because English has been existing as the international language used by almost whole people in the world. Related to learn English, there are four skills in English, they are listening, speaking, reading and writing. By considering those skills, speaking is the skill that shows the product during learning English. Unfortunately, numbers of students are lazy to speak because of the anxiety. The anxiety can set the students being unconfident to produce their oral communication. According to Hammer Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) is the name which was given to a set of beliefs which included not only about what aspects of language to teach, but also a shift in emphasis in how to teach. based on the expert findings. Therefore, this paper is proposed to resolve the problem happened by giving the appropriate technique to this case.

Implementing learning or communicative strategies are not enough to develop oral production when learning English as a Foreign language; indeed, it is necessary to provide authentic activities that engage students in the act of speaking. The objective of this research is to know if the interactive activities operated in the Moodle platform promote oral production and identify the possible association between their scores from the instructional design and their speaking level from a standardized exam. For this, a longitudinal quantitative approach was carried out during spring 2020 in the Teaching English Bachelor at BUAP, having a sample of 20 subjects. The results demonstrated that the use of authentic-interactive activities improved the students’ speaking competence significantly. Furthermore, this study pretends to contribute with useful theoretical information for teachers and students who want to select appropriate tasks to improve this competence. It is essential to clarify that this is an innovative study since it promotes the use of activities and strategies mediated by technology asynchronously and synchronously, which are flexible and suitable for students’ needs in times of contingence.

The objective of this study is to help students in developing their ideas in writing due to their difficulties to arrange ideas. Although they do have ideas, they cannot structure their ideas well in their papers. Several factors could cause this problem such as lack of vocabulary and knowledge or strategies in arranging ideas in papers. Another factor is unclear explanation and insufficient guidance from the teachers. Based on literature review, dictoglos can be a guide for students to develop their ideas in writing. It is a teaching technique which incorporates various activities such listening, taking notes, discussing, and reconstructing which have some standard procedures and variations. English as an international language has been known all over the world. People cannot deny it, because many countries use and learn the language. The fact shows that the language is used as a second or a foreign language in each country in the world. Many people learn it to get involved in the world globalization era, where English in written or oral form of communication is used. Therefore, it is a must for people to learn English. Whether they are students, worker, or other occupations that they belong to, they must study English. It can be learned through learning at school, in a course, or in their own ways. People must learn the language skills in order to master English well. The journey of the learning could be similar to a child learning to walk where he may fall down to the floor and get up to stand again and learn to walk continuously so that he can walk well. It is also the same when we learn a language. We must start from listening, speaking, reading and writing. The four language skills should be learned continuously and patiently. Writing as one of the language skill at any level of education that has to be mastered is rather difficult than other skills. Students feel difficult to arrange their ideas in papers. Actually they have ideas but it is hard for them to deliver it into their paper or they have many ideas but they cannot choose what ideas should be chosen to develop. It happens because they have lack of vocabulary, cannot arrange the ideas correctly, berita terkini internasional do not know how to develop their ideas. This could happen because there is no clear enough information from the teacher. It is also possible that the teacher do not teach well. In addition to teachers, it should be acknowledged that there are many other factors that cause the inability of students to write in English. Because some problems above, the writer wants to give an alternative solution to overcome the problem that is an approach to teach writing. It is hoped that the students have ability to develop their ideas in writing. The approach is called Dictogloss. In this approach students is trained to write their elaboration of one idea or improve simply an idea or a topic chosen by a teacher or they choose it freely from their own.

The problems in this research is children’s song related to memorize vocabulary to young learner and how how significance is the correlation between children song and memorizing vocabulary to young learner as foreign language of kindergarten PKK Polagan Pamekasan Madura. This research used quantitative approach, while the kind of research used non-experimental design that is correlation design. Population of this research is all of the students in TK PKK Polagan Pamekasan 2020/2021 that consist of 28 students. The obtained data from questionnaire, test and documentation. The obtained data analyzed by using statistical analysis that used product moment. The result of this study showed that the use of children song related to memorizing vocabulary to young learner as foreign language of kindergarten PKK Polagan Pamekasan. This case has proven from the result of “r” value is 0.711 higher than “r” table in level significance 5% and 1% with N = 28 is 0.374 and 0.478 and it is proven from the interpretation of “r” product moment that the result is between 0,600 – 0,800 in the level of enough correlation. Based on the result above, the researcher concludes that children song can use as strategy in vocabulary learning. This can make the students interest to study and make the students easy to memorize of vocabulary.

The aim of this study is to analyse the errors of higher education students in English writing tasks. In the study, the paragraphs in the exam papers of 57 preparatory class students, studying at a state university in Turkey in 2017-2018 academic year, were analysed. The study was conducted using qualitative research method. Case study was used in the research. Document analysis was used to collect data. The collected data were analysed in line with Surface Strategy Taxonomy and errors were identified and classified. As a result of the error analysis process, it was observed that the students made a total of 381 errors on 57 exam papers; 192 of them were misformation errors, 113 were omission errors, 65 were addition errors and only 11 were misordering errors. Misformation was the most frequent error among the students with a percentage of 50.39. In addition, the percentage of omission errors was 29.66%, that of addition errors was 17.06% and misordering errors was 2.89%. The professionals teaching English as a foreign language should focus more on prepositions, verb “to be”, spelling, articles, singular/plural forms of nouns, word formation, tenses, word choice and subject-verb agreement, which were the most problematic areas of language listed under the four main categories by developing efficient instructional techniques and materials. They should also respect learners’ errors and set up a positive atmosphere where learners can easily express themselves in the target language without the fear of committing errors.INTRODUCTIONThere are lots of languages in the world and some of them have come to the fore due to the fact that they are spoken by millions and even billions of people. People generally learn the language spoken where they are born, however; the developments in the fields such as communication, transportation, tourism and trade forced people to learn the languages that they didn’t need to learn in the past. English is the most popular one of those languages and for some it is the lingua franca (Modiano, 2004; Becker and Kluge, 2014) of our age.Millions of people in the world speak English as their mother tongue while others must learn it as a second (ESL) or foreign language (EFL). AbstractAn empirical study of Chinese EFL learners has been carried out in the authentic Chinese EFL classroom on the campus of Tianjin Foreign Studies University, with an aim to verify how and why the cognitive linguistic approach can facilitate L2 or FL learners in the process of learning English as a second or a foreign language. The statistical analysis of the data showed that the EC outperformed the CC both on lexical and grammatical proficiency and on their metaphorical and pragmatic or sociolinguist competence after the classroom treatment. The study has concluded that using CMs and IMs as the motivator and organizer in the process of learning English as a foreign language, the cognitive approach benefits L2 or FL learners with respect to comprehension and retention of memory.

The study clarifies the semantic and pragmatic potential of the axiological power of the English adjective: the psychology of its perception in the process of learning English as a foreign language. The purpose of this scientific research is to demonstrate the axiological load and special semantic and pragmatic nature of the English adjective for the developing of understanding of the feasibility of using adjective forms in communicative activities of the students. As a result of the study, we come to the conclusion that the English adjective forms a qualitative layer of reality, which is considered to be the "fourth spatial dimension of the world", given the trends of globalization. The adjective has a kind of verbalization, pragmatic value and participates in the formation and development of linguistic consciousness, which is manifested in the conceptualization of axiology, represents a set of evaluative, qualitative, cultural and ideological characteristics that are reflected in the special interaction of different means of linguistic expression.

This study was  designed  to  investigate  the  students  error  in  using  preposition  “to”  and  “for”.  English  is  one  of  international  language,  this is important for us  to  master  it.  In  this  era,  many  science  and  technology book are written in English. Based on the fact that, learning a  foreign  language  often the learner get difficulties,  especially  in  grammar.  They  were  that  error  analysis  at  using preposition “to” and “for” are found in the second grade  of  MTS Al-Ma’arif 1 aimas. The students error were classified into several kind, error in using preposition “to” and “for”, error in using past tense and error in omission, addition and miss-formation. From the analysis, it was found that, the first errors in miss-formation, with the frequency 56% as the highest number of occurrences. The second level in addition, with frequency 22%l. The finally lower in omission with  frequency 21%. In learning English process students make error in using preposition in miss-formation, it happened to do not mastery about the material and also writer found caused the error of students include first language, translation error. Based on the discussion, it is included that the students at the second grade of MTS Al-Ma’arif 1 Aimas still low in understanding function of preposition. The finally the writer hopes that it will help the teacher in their teaching to improving the students ability in learning English.
