The People's Religious School (SAR) is part of the educational institution at Malaysia which contributes to the educational development of Muslims. The institution, established by the people for the benefit of the people, needs to be fortified so that its presence in the education sector is truly felt. The function of SAR as a place for the dissemination of Islamic knowledge needs to be preserved. Because of that, SAR administrators need to be aware and pro-active in their efforts to maintain their existence of this Islamic educational institution. One of the efforts to maintain SAR is to apply the endowment mechanism to the asset that is owned, be it movable, or immovable properties. These endowment assets can be developed to deliver sustainable profits. For example, through the implementation concept of Ijarah on the owned waqf assets. Thus, this study was conducted to identify the implementation of ijarah on educational properties available in selected SARs in the states of Penang, Perlis and Kedah, and to analyze its effectiveness. This study involves in-depth, semi-structured interviews on selected SAR administrators. The obtained data were analyzed by qualitative content analysis. Through this, it was found that the implementation of the concept of ijarah in the development of educational facilities in SAR has successfully maintained the sustainability of benefits of the educational property. At the same time, it is also financially beneficial to the SAR itself.

Abstract Objective: Identification of hospital preparedness challenges against biological events such as COVID-19 is essential to improve dynamics, quality and business continuity confidence in the health system. Accordingly, the purpose of the present study is to evaluate the challenges of hospital preparedness in biological events. Methods: This study employed a qualitative method using content analysis in which 20 healthcare managers and experts who are experienced in biological events were selected through purposeful sampling. The data collection was done through semi-structured interviews, which continued until data saturation. The data were analyzed using qualitative content analysis as well as the Landman and Graneheim Approach. Results: Six main concepts (training and practice, resource management, safety and health, patient management, risk communication, and laboratory and surveillance) and 14 sub-concepts were extracted on hospital preparedness challenges in biological events through analyzing interviews. Conclusions: The present study indicated that the health system of the country faces many challenges in response to biological events and threats. Moreover, study participants indicated that Iranian hospitals were not prepared for biological events. It is recommended to design preparedness plans of hospitals based on preparedness standards for biological events. In addition, comprehensive measures are required to enhance their capacity to respond to biological emergencies.

Background: There are specific challenges regarding the perceptions of families of comatose patients in Intensive Care Units (ICUs). Identifying these perceptions may attract the cooperation of families with nurses and provide better care for patients. This study aimed to explore the perceptions of families of comatose patients in ICUs. Methods: This was a qualitative content-analysis study. Seventeen families with comatose patients were recruited by the purposive sampling technique. The necessary data were generated by semi-structured interviews, continued until data saturation, and concurrently analyzed by an inductive content analysis method. Results: Four main categories were manifested, including shock and disbelief, the effort for adaptation, exhaustion, and burnout, as well as hope and support. Conclusion: The obtained results signified the importance of nurses’ awareness concerning the family members’ perceptions of their comatose patient status in ICUs. Abstract Background Most parents consider adolescence to be the most difficult stage of parenting. The parental practice is a determining factor in adolescents’ academic achievement, self-esteem, independence attainment, social adjustment, and risky behaviors reduction. The main role of parenting in many societies is played by mothers. The present study aimed at explaining the Iranian mothers’ practice in parenting an adolescent child. Methods This qualitative conventional content analysis was conducted in 2019 in Kashan, in the central part of Iran. Totally, 20 in-depth semi-structured interviews with mothers of adolescent children were performed using a purposive sampling method. Interviews continued until data saturation was reached. Data collection and analysis were performed simultaneously using MAXQDA10 software. Results Regarding the study purpose, six main categories and two themes were identified. The theme of ‘laying the groundwork for upbringing’ was detected by two main categories: ‘meeting the needs’ and ‘effective interaction with the adolescent’ and the theme of ‘individual-social capacity building’ was explained by four main categories: ‘helping to gain independence’, ‘modeling individual-social behavior’, ‘socializing the adolescent’, and ‘preparing to accept future roles’. Conclusions A deeper understanding of maternal practice can help health professionals, especially family nurses, develop parenting programs to promote maternal literacy and adolescent health.

The present study attempts to justify the factors inducing stress in the families of patients hospitalized in cardiac intensive care units in the east of Guilan province in Iran. The study aims at gaining an accurate understanding on these stressors for appropriate planning directed at removing or decreasing these tension-inducing components. The present study is a qualitative study based upon a conventional content analysis approach. The study population was selected through purposive sampling (28 family members of cardiac patients), and the data were gathered through semi-structured interviews. Data analysis was performed as per the stages recommended by Graneheim and Lundman (2004). The strength and scientific accuracy of the study was also established. The study yielded three main themes and seven sub-themes: Heavy shadow of illness (fear of loneliness on the caring path, fear of disease, poor personal knowledge); Hesitation in the treatment (doubting the efficiency of technology, ungenial healthcare providers); and Economic storm (high cost of treatment, potential economic problems). The study results indicated that patients’ families underwent stress in various areas, pointing to the need for providing adequate training and information on the disease to family members and caregivers, as well as the sympathy of healthcare providers on the treatment path for reducing the disease-associated tensions suffered by hospitalized patients’ families.
