As the size and service requirements of today’s networks gradually increase, large numbers of proprietary devices are deployed, which leads to network complexity, information security crises and makes network service and service provider management increasingly difficult. Network function virtualization (NFV) technology is one solution to this problem. NFV separates network functions from hardware and deploys them as software on a common server. NFV can be used to improve service flexibility and isolate the services provided for each user, thus guaranteeing the security of user data. Therefore, the use of NFV technology includes many problems worth studying. For example, when there is a free choice of network path, one problem is how to choose a service function chain (SFC) that both meets the requirements and offers the service provider maximum profit. Most existing solutions are heuristic algorithms with high time efficiency, or integer linear programming (ILP) algorithms with high accuracy. It’s necessary to design an algorithm that symmetrically considers both time efficiency and accuracy. In this paper, we propose the Q-learning Framework Hybrid Module algorithm (QLFHM), which includes reinforcement learning to solve this SFC deployment problem in dynamic networks. The reinforcement learning module in QLFHM is responsible for the output of alternative paths, while the load balancing module in QLFHM is responsible for picking the optimal solution from them. The results of a comparison simulation experiment on a dynamic network topology show that the proposed algorithm can output the approximate optimal solution in a relatively short time while also considering the network load balance. Thus, it achieves the goal of maximizing the benefit to the service provider.

Technology licensing has gained significant attention in literature and practice as a rapid and effective way to improve firm’s capability of technology innovation. In this paper, we investigate a duopolistic service provider competition market, where service providers develop and sell a kind of network product. In this setting, we analyze the innovating service provider’s four licensing strategies: no licensing, fixed fee licensing, royalty licensing, and two-part tariff licensing. The literature suggests that when the network products can be completely substituted, two-part tariff licensing is the optimal strategy of the innovating service provider. We find that when the network products cannot be completely substituted, two-part tariff licensing is not always optimal. The degree of the product differentiation, the intensity of the network effects, and the R&D cost of the potential licensee play a key role in determining the innovating service provider’s optimal licensing strategies.

When consumers buy eggs, consumers should be more careful choosing the egg because there are some eggs that the quality has been decreased or the eggs are damaged and cannot be consumed anymore. This is caused by the length of egg storage time and didn’t have a tool that capable to detect the condition of the egg. People or egg breeders / entrepreneurs habit on looking the quality of eggs still use manual way, as a result it takes a long time because it must select the eggs condition one by one. The purpose of this research is to design and make the detection tool of chicken egg condition with ATmega 32 microcontroller using light sensor, so that the time efficiency and the result of egg selection becomes faster. . The use of tools is very easy and simple so that consumers or breeders / entrepreneurs can use it. Then to simplify and speed up the selection time of chicken eggs breeder or entrepreneur to distinguish good and damaged egg condition.

The paper aims to create a valid model for measuring customer loyalty towards a service provider. Principal solutions for designing a model of loyalty measurement have emerged from the clarified role of customer loyalty and evaluation problems. The worked out solutions include selecting a proper concept (1), loyalty specification (2), determining a period necessary for loyalty measurement (3), differentiation of loyalty measurement depending on accessible data (4) and measuring a stage of loyalty (5). The conducted research referred to an example of a catering company, thus adopting an original mathematical model for the empirical measurement of customer loyalty. The obtained results have revealed that the loyalty of the customers of the investigated service provider is of an intermediate level. The findings have also showed the superiority of the proposed model for measuring the state of customer loyalty and for obtaining better solutions to the development of customer loyalty in the service industry.
