Data breaches have a profound effect on businesses associated with industries like the US healthcare system. This task extends more pressure on healthcare providers as they continue to gain unprecedented access to patient data, as the US healthcare system integrates further into the digital realm. Pressure has also led to the creation of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, Omnibus Rule, and Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health laws. The Defense Information Systems Agency also develops and maintains security technical implementation guides that are consistent with DoD cybersecurity policies, standards, architectures, security controls, and validation procedures. The objective is to design a network (physician's office) in order to meet the complexity standards and unpredictable measures posed by attackers. Additionally, the network must adhere to HIPAA security and privacy requirements required by law. Successful implantation of network design will articulate comprehension requirements of information assurance security and control.

The emergence of Islamic banking system in most banks in Malaysia nowadays bring a new era in Malaysian banking industry. This article discusses the needs for official sharia compliance audit institution to protect customers of Islamic banking. By using literature studies, this article concludes that one of the contributing factors which lead people to adopt Islamic banking system is their awareness of the serious and intolerable prohibition of riba. Some of the ways to ensure customers are well protected are to establish ḥisba institution as Sharia compliance audit body. The establishment of ḥisba institution allows it to stop the violation of Allah’s prohibition and protect the society. With the establishment of the institution, it can play an important role to solicit advice and to monitor performance so that the banks operate strictly as according to the Islamic regulations.

Complying with privacy in multi-jurisdictional health domains is important as well as challenging. The compliance management process will not be efficient unless it manages to show evidences of explicit verification of legal requirements. In order to achieve this goal, privacy compliance should be addressed through “a privacy by design” approach. This paper presents an approach to privacy protection verification by means of a novel audit framework. It aims to allow privacy auditors to look at past events of data processing effectuated by healthcare organisation and verify compliance to legal privacy requirements. The adapted approach used semantic modelling and a semantic reasoning layer that could be placed on top of hospital databases. These models allow the integration of fine-grained context information about the sharing of patient data and provide an explicit capturing of applicable privacy obligation. This is particularly helpful for insuring a seamless data access logging and an effective compliance checking during audit trials

The paper examined the impact of tax audit on revenue generation in Ekiti State. The data used for this study was gathered using structured questionnaire administered to 312 staff of the Ekiti State Internal Revenue Service. A regression analysis technique was adopted, and the result revealed that certain per cent of the revenue generated in Ekiti State could be explained by the tax audit; It was also discovered that auditing access, auditing officials, an effective tax audit, non-compliance, audit fieldwork, tax audit control, and corruption affect the revenue generation by 1.188, 0.319, 0.596, 0.148, 0.157, 0.125 and 0.002 respectively; the probability value  0.00, 0.01, 0.00, 0.022 and 0.00 ˂ 0.05 showed that auditing access, auditing officials, effective tax audit and incentive were statistically significant at 5 per cent level; the probability of F-statistic value 0.000 ˂ 0.05 revealed that the model was appropriate for determining the impact of tax audit on revenue generation in Ekiti State. Thus, the study concluded that tax audit should be embraced as it maximizes the collection of revenue which enables the government to address developmental projects that will benefit its citizenry and also helps in strengthening the businesses of the taxpayer.
