The article substantiates the importance of teaching Russian language to foreign students using the case study method. Now there is a lot of talk about the need to strengthen the communicative component when teaching Russian as a foreign language. This goal can be facilitated by the use of cases in classes with foreigners. The classic case contributes to the development of skills for making an independent decision, the purpose of working with a case in an audience with foreigners is different - a communicative workshop. The article lists the topics on which cases can be offered to foreigners, and presents the development of one of the cases as an example of the concept we propose.

The article is devoted to the application of one of the most modern and actively used interactive methods of teaching foreign languages at non-linguistic University – a case study. Method of case study is focused on students teaching methodology and develops critical thinking and communication skills of interpersonal communication. This method can be used to motivate students to use foreign language more in class. The authors believe that the method of case study is interdisciplinary by its nature and provides an opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge in practice. The article emphasizes that working with cases requires students’ active development of research skills and skills in using multiple data sources. The authors believe that the types of case study can be different, it depends on the difficulty level and language skills of the students, so it’s necessary to choose the right kind of problem of the lesson appropriate to the level of knowledge of this group. Method of case study contributes to the development of skills in written and oral communication, as well as improves skills of cooperation and teamwork. The authors pay attention to the fact that classes using techniques of case study put students in a real situation, teaching them organizational skills such as the ability to hold a business meeting, to negotiate, to prepare and deliver presentations. The article describes the stages of the work, showing the advantages and difficulties of applying case study in the foreign language. When using this method of teaching it is necessary to equip classrooms with modern teaching technical facilities. The aim of this article is to determine the value of case study method as one of interactive methods of teaching foreign languages at the University, to familiarize the reader with the experience of using this method in teaching foreign languages at the Russian state University of tourism and service.

The present paper addresses the issue of teaching foreign language as an indispensable course at university. One of the demands to the training of future engineers is to prepare them for solving professional tasks and situations. A continuous case study method is one of the forms of problem-based learning which allows teachers to model fragments of future professional activity, its multicultural context. We suggest a continuous case study method as a powerful tool for modelling real professional activities, which contributes to the formation of professionally oriented English-language competence of future engineers. In our article, we aim to reveal the essence and stages of using the method of continuous case studies at English classes. We outlined the following methods: analysis, synthesis, generalization, systematization, inference, observation. In order to verify our statement, we conducted a continuous case study on the topic “Refutation of inaccurate information on technical operation and repair of lifting mechanisms at the enterprise”. As shown by the results of our research, a continuous case study method is a way of development of a professionally oriented English-language competence of the future engineers by involving them in solving imaginary professionally oriented problems through simulated engineering environment. It has been found that the use of a continuous case study method in the course “Practical Course of Foreign Language for Professional (Scientific) Purposes” contributes to the improvement of the future engineers’ professionally oriented foreign-language competencies in listening, speaking, reading; professionally oriented sociocultural, linguistic, educational, strategic and pragmatic competencies.

The relevance of the research in the article is due to the fact that modern professional activity requires a scientific approach and analysis from a specialist, therefore, the problem of developing the intellectual abilities of students again acquires a priority focus. The purpose of the study is to identify and substantiate the pedagogical conditions for the development of students' intellectual abilities when teaching a foreign language in the field of professional communication based on the case-study method. The novelty of the research lies in the fact that its results allow clarifying the basic concept of the case-study method and highlighting its components, as well as developing a pedagogical model. The practical significance of the research results lies in the fact that the pedagogical conditions aimed at the development of the intellectual abilities of students in teaching a foreign language in the field of professional communication based on the case-study method are identified and substantiated. As a result, a developed system of criteria and pedagogical tools was introduced into the practice of teaching a foreign language in the field of professional communication to assess the development levels of students' intellectual abilities based on the case-study method.

Abstract. The purpose of this study is to determine the possibilities of digital technolo-gies and case study method in the development of creativity of the future teachers in physics teaching through the medium of a foreign language. The Akhmet Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University has created computer models of various physical processes and phenomena on the basis of Optics in English training course and has developed a method of their application. Since English opens the way to the formation of creativity, we have evaluated the effectiveness of the methodology we have developed, through the evaluation of creativity. The nearly 73 students were engaged in an experiment presented below in chronological order. The reliability of results obtained at the beginning and at the end of forming stage for each criteria of creativity, as well as for the integral indicator is provided by Pearson criterion . At the beginning of the experiment it is seen that that means there are no differences between the development level of students’ creativity from both experimental and target groups. At the end of the experiment , that means there are significant differences in the development level of students’ creativity.

The article presents preliminary results of research conducted during English language classes, with the case study method, among pupils with intellectual disability attending a primary special needs school. The research was meant to help answer the questions related to the possibility of incorporating foreign language teaching in the comprehensive process of their rehabilitation, and especially the development of individual cognitive skills as well as the mother tongue command. The article emphasizes the advantages of research based on a case study which enables the researcher to apply the principle of individualization and the treatment of every pupil as a subject no matter what the developmental barriers may be.

The article focuses on the strategy for the development and modernization of the modern higher education system that provides for the search and integration into the educational process of relevant pedagogical technologies that contribute to the activation of the professionally oriented skills of the student. The pedagogical technologies should have an appropriate scientific content and structure that realize the goals and objectives of the discipline taught. There has been considered one of the modern methods of pedagogical (interactive) technologies - case-study method, which is based on the analysis of specific situations. The algorithm for planning an interactive lesson of foreign (English) language is proposed. The developed algorithm was practiced in the course of an experimental lesson in a group of students studying a foreign language

Islam, according to the meaning of its name, is certainly synonymous with peace, but some Moslem direct it as a promoter of violence, chaos, and terror. Many teachings that are brought by the Prophet, perfected morality is an important point of his teachings that are escaped by his followers who like to spread violence, chaos, and terror. The concept of moderate Islam is not a new idea. It has been around since the Prophet taught it to his Companions. This can be explored from various historical literature and hadith texts. Especially in Indonesia, Moderate Islamic Education can always be found in Pesantren, not only ideas and concepts but also practices. This paper will try to explore how Moderate Islamic Education is taught and practised in Pesantren, especially in Pesantren Progressive Bumi Shalawat Sidoarjo. Pesantren which since its establishment in 2010 has been cooperating with ITCC (Indonesia Tionghoa Culture Center), AIESEC (Association Internationale des Etudiants en Sciences Economiques ET. Commerciales) and Japan Foundation to get a native speaker as a foreign language teacher and culture sharer. More than 15 people from various countries have been actively involved in becoming teachers in this Pesantren with various religious backgrounds. A tolerant and respectful attitude that is grown and developed from the school-age to become a moderate Muslim appears with the presence of the foreign teacher. With the case study method, the writer will analyze the existing situation in Pesantren Progresif Bumi Shalawat Sidoarjo related to moderate Islam which is taught and practised there.
