To get good employees, a good selection process is needed. From the results of the interview, PT. Global Retailindo Pratama uses four criteria for the selection of new employees, education, intelligence, experience, and interviews. All prospective employees must take an exam to measure the criteria of education and intelligence and also have to send a photocopy of proof of their experience. The first stage selection is done to determine the prospective applicants who will take part in the interview. The second stage is conducted to determine the prospective employees who are accepted. The process of assessment and selection is still done by humans, so it takes a lot of time and energy. This problem can be solved by providing an information system for submitting applications and conducting examinations online. All documents are sent in digital form, also automaticlly checking answers from prospective employees. To select prospective employees, a method is needed that can recommend potential prospective employees based on specified criteria. The TOPSIS method is a decision support method that can provide recommendations in accordance with the criteria. The disadvantage of the TOPSIS method is that it requires weighting in the ranking process. The Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method can be used to determine the criteria weight. Combining AHP and TOPSIS methods can produce more objective ranking results. Combining the AHP and TOPSIS methods can produce better recommendations.

Wedding organizers, as one of the creative industries, often participate in a trade show as one of the marketing mediums. Many wedding-related trades show events are held every year. But the cost to participate in one trade show event is quite expensive and increases from time to time. Thus, before deciding to participate in a trade show, it is important to evaluate whether the trade show events are recommended to join or not. The purpose of this study is to design a decision support system that will help the wedding organizer to decide their participation in a trade show. The decision model was constructed using AHP and TOPSIS methods. There are seven factors considered in the model, i.e., tradeshow location, reputation and professionalism of the organizer, cost estimation, trade show prestige, tenant reputation, time of the event, the attractiveness of the event. By using the AHP method, the priority weight of each factor was calculated. Moreover, the weight obtained will be used in developing a decision model combined with the TOPSIS method. The decision support system was developed afterward by using the SCRUM method. The feature of the system is discussed in the paper.

During the first sitting of the fifth term of the 13th Malaysian Parliament, The Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Muhammad V pledged to reign in a just and fair manner by placing the well-being of the people and prosperity of the nation above all else.  Thus it becomes the task of the Malaysian Government which includes the financial prosperity of the people.  This paper aims at identifying the level of financial prosperity of Malaysian people.  It has been identified that financial prosperity is a major problems among Malaysians, a result obtained from a survey research with 2000 samples taken from the whole country which is in accordance with the standards set by the International Statistical Institute [ISI].  The data collected were analyzed using various statistical methods and one of the method used to determine the people financial prosperity or financial well-being is by using index, namely the Malaysian People Satisfaction Index [MPSI]. We categorized the financial prosperity into four levels, namely the poor income, moderate income, good income and excellent income. The survey results show that the level of financial prosperity for Malaysian people is 49.6% with a mean of 4.88 which is categorized as moderate income. Further analysis shows that there are significant differences between the respondents' demographic factors and the financial prosperity.  This shows that the government and relevant agencies need to play a more significant role to ensure the policies that are enacted can contribute to the well-being of the people.  It would just be very difficult for Malaysia to become a developed nation by 2020 if the status of financial prosperity or financial well-being of its people is still at moderate level income.
