The interpretation of death’s theme in the Qur’an immediately stagnated when mufassir discuss it in eschatolical topic. It can be talked again in academic discourse by starting to look for the maqasid behind a verse by reading the context and the historical relations that surround it. Therefore, this study will apply tafsir maqasid as a theory to interpret the verses of death related with escatological theme, in this case QS. Al-Baqarah/2: 154 and QS. Ali ‘Imran/3: 169. Most mufassir commented on these verses according to explicit text whitout trying to identificate to other interpretation; that the Believers who fight for Allah will live in other world. Through this research, it is found other alternative interpretation; that these verses are not only explain about how syuhada live after die but also state indicate the importance of protecting religion even sacrificing one’s life. Besides that, it is also conluded that death is a part of God’s pleasure.

This study formulates three problems which include: (1) The principles of the social protest movement from the perspective of Islamic law; (2) Methods and techniques for conducting demonstrations from the perspective of Islamic law; (3) The social impact of demonstrations in Indonesia from the perspective of Islamic law. This study uses a qualitative method (descriptive-analytic). Based on the data source is library research (library research). The approach used is the sociological approach of Islamic law and the siyasah fiqh approach. In the perspective of scientific studies, these two approaches are used to understand the phenomenon of demonstrations in Indonesia based on legal arguments contained in the Qur'an and Hadith, the opinions of fuqaha' and opinions that develop (ijitahad) at a time in life. Muslims. Meanwhile, from a methodological perspective, these two approaches are used to provide an interpretation of the methodology of Islamic law on the concept and practice of demonstrations based on social movement theory and Islamic political theory. The results of this study found that: The principles of the Islamic social protest movement are built on the doctrine of rights and obligations between the people and the rulers in an Islamic state which include: the principle of hisbah; The principle of freedom of expression; The principle of deliberation; and constitutional principles. Based on the method of carrying out the demonstration, there are 2 methods, namely the exclusive method and the inclusive method. Based on the technique of holding demonstrations, there are 3 levels, namely: (1) demonstrations with the ability and strength of the masses; (2) demonstration with verbal ability and strength; (3) protest with the ability of the heart. Through the istislahi approach, that Islamic law strongly condemns all demonstration activities that cause harm to religion, soul, mind, descendants and property. On the other hand, he strongly supports all demonstration activities that uphold the five maintenances (Maqasid al-khamsah). That demonstrations are not at all motivated by passion or personal tendencies, let alone to cause damage to the earth. It is an obligation not just an appeal for those who can afford it. The law is fardu kifayah. Turning away from that obligation is the same as carrying oneself That demonstrations are not at all motivated by passion or personal tendencies, let alone to cause damage to the earth. It is an obligation not just an appeal for those who can afford it. The law is fardu kifayah. This study will elaborate on the form of mappaja' trading, which is considered as an attractive economic issue as in its transactions, people do not use a system of weighing scales in trading their harvests, but with a cost estimation system for the goods. Therefore, in the trading practice, there is often a discrepancy between the harvest and the buyer’s expectation, because it may contain an element of gharar/obscurity of the goods, which can lead to an invalid transaction and harm one of the parties. This study indicated that the practice of mappaja' for agricultural commodities has occurred for a long time. The mechanism is by estimating the number of plants based on mutual trust and responsibility. The agricultural commodities used as the mappaja' objects are cloves and vegetables (carrots, cabbage, and tomatoes). The payment method in mappaja' practice is carried out in two ways, namely full payment and twice payment. Twice payment refers to the transaction where half of the payment was handed over on the agreement as a down payment and a sign of completion, then the rest of the payment were handed after the harvest. The condition of the plant is ready to harvest or not ready for harvest in the transaction of mappaja’. The rights and obligations of both parties are that traders are obliged to make payments to farmers according to the agreement and for the farmers, they have to keep taking good care of the plants if at the time of the transaction the condition of the plants is still not ready for harvest.

This article discusses the relationship between Islam and multicultural theology. It employs qualitative research methodology with focusing on library research in getting documents relating to the issue. Islam and multicultural theology are two important disciplines that need to be reconsidered to capture the dimensions of similarities for both of them. Although multicultural theology is originally coined in the history of western countries like America and European countries and it is more likely concerned with Christian theology, it does not mean that Islam and multicultural theology have no relevant connection. The author comes to conclude that these issues are strongly related in the theoretical framework as well as in practical. Issues such as respect, recognition, and tolerance are crucially important for both of them. Islam itself makes those aspects the fundamental philosophy in social interaction, particularly, love and humanism are the key elements of Islam. The last mentioned are not seriously taken into account in multicultural theology which is a more formal or legal relationship.

This study elaborates the application of semiotic theory in Surah Maryam (Maryam). This study is library research. The library research was conducted through various literature studies related to the problem investigated. The approach used is a semiotic approach. The data sources are divided into two; primary and secondary data. The primary data source is the Qur'an (surah Maryam) and the secondary data sources are books of interpretation, semiotics and linguistics. The data collection is done by quoting, adapting, and analyzing the representative literature and relevant to the problems discussed, then reviewing and concluding. The study results showed three forms of semiotic application in Surah Maryam: first, semiotics of significance from Ferdinand de Saussure's (synchronic-diachronic theory). Second, semiotics of communication from Charles S. Peirce's includes iconic, indexical, and symbolic theories. Third, connotative semiotics from Roland Barthes' which consists of denotative meaning and connotative meaning. This study implies that the semiotic reading of the Qur’an prioritizes the interpretation of the text in a synchronic and diachronic, denotative and connotative way. Hopefully, by this reading, religious and Islamic moderation could be achieved.

The technique of analyzing and presenting data is done by content analysis. From the description and analysis carried out in the research, it is concluded that al-Ihsan from the perspective of the Koran is the best form of human action performed perfectly. Al-Ihsan is a plus (more) value of the best deed done according to its level. The best deeds are carried out both towards God, fellow human beings, and the natural environment. The actualization of ihsan is carried out with knowledge, solemnity, and sincerity and is manifested in the form of his personality integrity. All actions taken will be intended as a form of worship to Allah swt. For humans and other creatures created by Allah, it will provide more benefits and favors than doing justice. All these best deeds will continue to be improved for the sake of self-perfection.
