Information and communication technologies bring a great amount of positive effects that appropriately enrich and support education. The generally declared need for the integration of new media and educational technologies in the educational process could represent an important impulse for the development of pedagogical sciences. As a result of this fact, it is necessary to promote new educational techniques and methods derived from them and thus there arises a question whether schools, teachers and teachers-to-be are ready for such a thing. Since the authors of the presented study are not aware of any available analysis dealing with this issue, we have decided, based on carrying out a research, to identify the interest and preparedness of schools or teachers, included teachers-to-be, in the implementation of modern didactic tools into the educational practice in form of interactive whiteboards. The presented study introduces the progress, process and result of this significant research. Key words: didactic tools, digital technologies, information and communication technologies, interactive board, multimedia, multimedia presentation, research.

The socialization of children takes place in an environment of "growth in the digital world" today. These children are significantly different from children who went to school 5-10 years ago, because the use of interactive games, various gadgets, computerization of educational and social services has become commonplace, a daily occurrence. As a result, the age barrier of targeted use of information and communication technologies today has decreased from the traditional 8-10 years to 4-5 years. This explains the ideology of changes in education regarding the end-to-end application information and communication technologies in the educational process. As part of the modernization of the Ukrainian school, special attention is paid to the concept of STEM, which logically reflects social change and provides appropriate introduction to educational practice of new technologies aimed at intensifying the educational process, improving forms and methods of teaching, expanding the range of practical skills. It is shown that the introduction of elements of STEM-education in the educational practice of primary school involves the use of specialized STEM-tools. The article is devoted to highlighting the didactic possibilities of STEM-tools as an instrumental support for the use of elements of STEM-education in the education of primary school children. It is revealed that an important role in achieving positive results in the implementation of STEM-education belongs to its instrumental support, which provides an opportunity to implement experimental, design, inventive activities of students in the educational process. A list of specialized STEM-tools aimed at primary school students, which the teacher can use to organize an experiment, research.

Information and Communication Technologies and Digital Educational Resources have undergone a rapid evolution and have been swiftly introduced into educational contexts. Teachers play a key role in integrating these technological resources into the classroom. The objective of the present study was to determine the value that teachers attribute to digital resources in their educational practice. Based on a qualitative methodology, the necessary information was obtained via an open-ended interview, in which a Spanish school’s Early Childhood and Primary Education teachers participated. The results revealed that teachers value the integration of digital resources into the classroom, though no consensus was reached as to the suitable level of integration. Use satisfaction was mainly related to student motivation. Certain problems or limitations also came to light, however, linked to students’ digital training. An important conclusion according to the perception of teachers is that the integration of digital resources in their educational practice was significant and improved the quality of the educational process.

It is substantiated the actuality of creation and introduction the distance special course «The peculiarities of teacher’s professional and pedagogical self-realization in the system of postgraduate pedagogical education by means of information and communication technologies» in the educational process of postgraduate pedagogical education establishments. On the basis of analysis of research works, synthesis of educational ideas, generalization of own experience of pedagogical work the oriented plan of the special course is presented. The authors describe the information filling of the thematic modules of the distance special course. It is pointed out that the efficiency of introduction and usage of the distance special course in educational practice of postgraduate pedagogical education establishments depends on the level of teacher’s pedagogical education, as well as their information and communication competency. The attention is stressed on the combination of theoretical, practical tasks, and also tasks that have creative character. It is noted that distance special course contains not only theoretical and practical contents, but questions for self-study and comprehension, tasks for self-examination and self-control. Learning the distance special course the great attention is paid to teachers’ individual independent work. It is substantiated an idea that the efficiency of introduction of the distance special course will depend on teachers’ initial knowledge on computer literacy, access to the Internet and necessary hardware.
The rapid advances in information and communication technologies, coupled with increased access to information and the formation of global communities, have resulted in interest among researchers and academics to revise educational practice to move beyond traditional ‘literacy’ skills towards an enhanced set of “multiliteracies” or “new media literacies”. Measuring the literacy of a population, in the light of its linkage to individual and community wealth and wellbeing, is essential to determining the impact of compulsory education. The opportunity now is to develop tools to assess individual and societal attainment of these new literacies. Drawing on the work of Jenkins and colleagues (2006) and notions of a participatory culture, this paper proposes a conceptual framework for how learning analytics can assist in measuring individual achievement of multiliteracies and how this evaluative process can be scaled to provide an institutional perspective of the educational progress in fostering these fundamental skills.

Modern educational technologies are considered, examples of their use in the engineering training system are given. The low efficiency of the traditional form of teaching engineering disciplines is shown. The ambiguity of the classification of pedagogical technologies and their choice for the training of engineering personnel is underscored. Application of the soft-ware in the educational process allows individualizing the learning process and improving the effectiveness of independent work of students. An important role in the organization of the educational process is played by information and communication technologies.
