The purpose is to increase critical thinking skills and conceptual understanding of mathematical trigonometric equations through problem-based learning model. The type of money research used is PTK with the subjects of all class XI MIA 3 students of SMA Negeri 1 Pandaan in the 2019/2019 academic year, totaling 35 students. The results showed that after the first cycle was implemented, 73.06% of students who think critically with sufficient qualifications were obtained, then increased in the second cycle with a result of 81.66%. The students’ conceptual understanding also increased where in the first cycle of 35 students only 6 students (17.14%), then increased in cycle II to 19 students (54.29%) with good qualification. It showed that the problem-based learning model can actually improve critical thinking skills and conceptual understanding because students are actively involved in collecting, studying, and discussing math facts related to the subject matter of trigonometric equations compared to before.

This study aims to improve students' critical thinking skills in Civics in 5th grade students of SD Muhammadiyah Kauman, Yogyakarta using Problem Based Learning model. This research is a Classroom Action Research (PTK). The subjects of the study were 5th grade students of B1 SD Muhammadiyah Kauman. The object of research is the whole process and the results of learning Civics with the application of Problem Based Learning model. This research was conducted at SD Muhammadiyah Pakel Yogyakarta in April until May 2017. Data collection techniques used were observation, diary, interview and test. Data analysis technique is done descriptively qualitative. This research was conducted in 2 cycles by applying problem based learning model. The learning steps that were implemented were changes in the delivery of the subject matter, the students analyzed the problem, the formation of the discussion group with the grouping of students based on their achievement, the students in group for discussion, the group members delivered the discussion result in front of the class.The results showed that the critical thinking ability of the 5th grade students of B1 SD Muhammadiyah Kauman, Yogyakarta increased after the use of Problem Based Learning model in Civics learning with the subject matter of the example of central and regional legislation. This improvement is evident in the improvement of students' critical thinking skill test result from 12.90% pretreatment score to 51.61% (enough) in cycle I and increased to 70.96% (good) in cycle II. The results of activity observations related to students' critical thinking skills are increased among others: active students in learning, students more freely in finding and collecting desired information, and students also have more opportunities to learn with friends.

This study aims to determine the differences in critical thinking skills between students who learn using the problem based learning model and STAD model. This research is a quantitative study with a quasi-experimental method. The population of this study is the X grade students of SMK Negeri 3 Surakarta in the academic year 2017/2018. Samples were obtained by using cluster random sampling technique consisting of two classes namely X PM 1 class as the experimental class with problem-based learning and X PM 3 class as the control class with STAD learning. The technique of collecting data uses a multiple choice test to determine students' critical thinking skills. Data Analysis is using MANOVA. The results of the study indicate that there is a significant influence between the learning model on critical thinking skills. The application of the problem-based learning model proved to be more able to improve students' critical thinking skills compared to the STAD learning model.

This study aims to determine the effect of the problem-based learning model (PBL) with a scientific approach to critical thinking skills of class X students of Al-Ma’arif Pandan Indah Islamic High School 2016/2017 academic year. The type of research used is quasi-experiment with Nonequivalent control group design. The population in this study were all students of class X Islamic High School Al-Ma’arif Pandan. The sample used consisted of two classes taken using nonprobability sampling techniques, namely class XA as the experimental class, and class XB as the control class. The technique of collecting data on the implementation of RPP using the observation sheet and critical thinking skills of students was measured using a test in the form of a description question that had been validated by 2 expert experts. Data analysis of critical thinking skills carried out by t-test found that t-count = 2.58> 2.042. Based on the results of the analysis it can be concluded that the problem-based learning model with a scientific approach significantly influences students' critical thinking skills.

The research was to incrase of students' critical thinking skills. The subject of this study were SMAN 2 Metro grade X4 class numbering 30 student in the second semester of the academic 2011/2012. And the object of his research is the critical thinking skills. The results showed that the implementation of problem-based learning model on Biology learning, can increase students' critical thinking skills. Increase critical thinking skills is almost all indicators, such as the ability of clarification, argumentation skills, induction skills, deduction skills, and ability to perform and execute. Increase critical thinking skills that students can be seen from the increase in the average value of each point about the cycle I and cycle II. The success of critical thinking can also be seen from the increase in the thoroughness of learning, that is equal to 6 students in cycle I to cycle II is 24 students. The means the percentage of students who achieve greater value equal to 72 also increased, from 20% in cycle I to 80% in cycle II. Kata Kunci: Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah, Keterampilan Berpikir Kritis

This study aims to: 1) describe the improvement of student learning outcomes in learning physics class XI IPA2 SMA Negeri 1 Loghia which is taught by using a problem-based learning model assisted by pictorial riddle on the subject matter of elasticity and hooke law. 2) describe the improvement of students' critical thinking skills in physics learning class XI IPA2 SMA Negeri 1 Loghia on the subject matter of elasticity and hooke law taught by using problem-based learning models assisted by pictorial riddle 3) describe the completeness of students learning in physics learning class XI IPA2 Loghia State High School 1, which is taught by using a pictorial riddle-based problem-based learning model on the subject of elasticity and hooke law. The data analysis was performed by descriptive statistics. From the analysis of the data obtained the average of cognitive learning outcomes of students in the first cycle is 74.71. The average critical thinking skills in the first cycle are indicators giving 38.79 simple explanations, building basic skills 28.45, concluding 38.79, making further explanation 31.90 and indicators of strategy and tactics 50.86. As for the percentage of mastery learning classically in the first cycle of 65.52%. In the second cycle obtained the average of cognitive learning outcomes of 79.83. The average critical thinking skills in the second cycle of the indicators provide a simple explanation of 57.76, building basic skills 84.48, concluding 93.10, making further explanation 74.13 and indicators of strategy and tactics 88.79. While the percentage of mastery learning classical students in the first cycle amounted to 79.31%. Based on the results of the research and discussion it can be concluded that the application of problem based learning model assisted by pictorial riddle can improve cognitive learning outcomes and critical thinking skills.

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan perbedaan pemahaman konsep (PK) IPA dan keterampilan berpikir kritis (KBK) siswa antara yang belajar dengan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah (MPBM) dengan yang belajar dengan model pembelajaran konvensional (MPK). Penelitian eksperimen semu ini melibatkan 5 kelas siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 4 Bebandem Karangasem Tahun Pelajaran 2015/2016 sebagai populasi. Dua sampel ditentukan dengan teknik acak kelas, yaitu kelas VIIA menggunakan model PBM dan Kelas VIID dengan Model PK. Data PK IPA dan KBK dikumpulkan dengan tes. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dan MANCOVA satu jalan dengan PK dan KBK awal berperan sebagai kovariabel. Setelah perlakuan dikontrol dengan PK dan KBK awal, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan signifikan PK IPA dan KBK siswa antara yang belajar dengan MPBMdanMPK.Baik PK IPA maupun KBK siswa yang belajar dengan MPBM lebih baik dibandingkan dengan yang belajar dengan MPK. Kata Kunci : pembelajaran berbasis masalah (problem based learning/PBL), pemahaman konsep IPA, keterampilan berpikir kritis. This study aims to describe the differences of conceptual understanding (CU) in science and students’ critical thinking skills (CTS) between them learned in problem-based learning model (PBLM) and conventional learning model (CLM). Thisquasi-experimental in volved 5 classes student of the 7 grade of students in SMP Negeri 4 Bebandem Karangasem in the year 2015/2016 asa population. Two classes as samples were determined by group random sampling technique, namely class VIIa used PBL and Class VIID utilized conventional learning models (CL). The data of CU inscience and CTS of students were collected by tests. Data were analyzed descriptive and one way of MANCOVA with prior of CU as well as CTS a cts as covariates. After the treatment was controlled by prior of CU and CBC, there were significant differences in CU and CTS of students between them learned in the PBLM and CLM. Neither CU in scine and students’ CTS who learned in the PBLM were better than CLM.keyword : problem-based learning ( PBL), undertanding of science concepts, critical thinking skill.

This study aimed to investigate the correlation between critical thinking skills and academic achievement in Biology through the implementation of problem-based learning-predict observe explain (PBLPOE) learning model. The study was conducted from February to June 2018 in the even academic year of 2017/2018. A correlational design was employed in this study. The participants consisted of tenth graders from Public Senior High School (SMAN) Number 5 in Bengkulu, Indonesia. The students’ critical thinking skills and academic achievement were measured using essay tests. The result of the regression analysis showed that there was a significant correlation between students’ critical thinking skills and academic achievement in biology, where Y=7.383 + 0.500x. The regression equation suggests that students’ academic achievement may improve as the students’ critical thinking increases. Therefore, it is advisable for the educator to promote critical thinking skills in the classroom in order to improve students’ academic achievement by, for example, implementing PBLPOE learning model.

This reseach aimed to determine the level of critical thinking skills of Economic Education students at Universitas Lampung in the 2021/2022 academic year through a problem based learning model. The ability to think critically is one indicator of intelligence that must be possessed by every individual in facing the era of society 5.0, in an effort to respond to various challenges in the midst of social life. The population in this study were 256 students with a sample size of 144 students, which was obtained by using the Isaac-Michael formula. Methods of data collection used questionnaires, documentation, and interviews. Based on the results of the study, it was found that there was an effect of applying the problem based learning model on increasing students' critical thinking skills, which was 66.5% and the rest was influenced by other factors.

The purpose of this reaserch are (1) find differences influence model of Group Investigation (GI) and Problem Based Learning (PBL). (2) find differences influence learning motivation of students to critical thinking abilities of learners. (3) find the interaction effect between learning models and learning motivation of the critical thinking skills of learners. This study will be conducted in SMA Martapura, Banjar regency, South Kalimantan. Subjects of the study were students of class XI SMA Martapura academic year 2015/2016. This type of research to be carried out in this study is a quantitative study using experimental methods. Design of this research is 2 X 2 factorial design to data collection technique motivation questionnaire and tests critical thinking skills. The result, 1) There is a difference between the positive influence of the Model Group Investigation (GI) and Problem Based Learning (PBL). 2) There are differences positively influence the motivation of students to critical thinking ability of students in learning the history. 3) There are nointeractions influence student learning model and motivation for students' critical thinking skill There is no interaction effect Learning Model and the Motivation of students' critical thinking skills of students in Learning Historys.
