This research was aimed to find out the effectiveness of Mind Reading Game in teaching grammar. This research was experimental design. The population of this study was the second grade students of MA Darul Kamilin which consisted of two classes. One classes were chosen as the samples, those were XI A Class as experimental group consisted of twenty three students and XI B Class as control group consisted twenty three students. They were chosen by using quasi experimental. Experimental group was treated by Mind Reading Game and control group was treated by Mind Game. The instrument that was used objective test in forms of multiple choices. Then, the scores were analyzed by using statistical analysis. It showed the mean score of experimental group was 20,34 while the mean score control group was 16,34 and the value of t (t test) = -4,756 was higher than  (t table) = 2,0154 at the significance level of 5% and the number of degree freedom (df) 44. It meant that alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted and null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected. It could be conclude that Mind Reading Game was effective in teaching grammar at the second grade students of MA Darul Kamilin

This study was to find out the effectiveness of I challenge game in teaching grammar. This research was quasi experimental design. The population of this study was the second grade students of SMPN 2 Kediri which consisted of four classes. Two classes were chosen as the samples, those were VIII B Class as experimental group consisted of twenty six students and VIII D Class as control group consisted twenty five students. They were chosen by using simple random sampling technique. Experimental group was treated by I Challenge Game and control group was treated by Grammar Draughts Game. The instrument that was used objective test informs of multiple choices. Then, the scores were analyzed by using statistical analysis. It showed the mean score of experimental group was 67,04 while the mean score control group was 52,54 and the value of t (t test) = 1,716 was higher than  (t table) = 1.677 at the significance level of 0,05% and the number of degree freedom (df) 49. It meant that alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accpeted and null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected. It could be calculated that I Challenge Game was effective in teaching grammar at the second grade students of SMPN 2 Kediri.

This research was aimed to find out the effect of Verb Story game towards students’ motivation in learning grammar. The research was experimental research and the design that was used was post-test only design. The population of the study was the second grade students of MTs Aunul Ibad NW Beroro course which consisted of four classes. Two classes were chosen as the samples, those were MTs Aunul Ibad NW Beroro A Class as experimental group consisted of twenty four students and C Class as control group consisted twenty four students. They were chosen by using Simple Random Sampling technique. Experimental group was treated by Verb Story game and control group was treated by Verb Search game. The instrument that was used objective test and questionnaire in forms of multiple choices and matching word. Then, the scores were analyzed by using statistical analysis. It showed the mean score of experimental group was 73,16 while the mean score control group was 55,12 and the value of t (t test) = 3,537 was higher than the value of  (t table) = 2, 013 at the significance level of 5% and the number of degree freedom (46). Therefore, according to the result of the analysis, it can be concluded that it can be concluded that the use of verb story game is effective in learning grammar at second grade students of MTs Aunul Ibad NW Beroro and the result correlation between students’ motivation and grammar, it shows r-test (0,993) > r-table (0,404). Based on the result of the study, it can be conclude there is correlation between students’ motivation and grammar is accepted. In other word, alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected.

This research was aimed at finding out the effectevenness of Ransom Note Game in learning vocabulary. this research was quasi experimental design. The populations of this research were all of students at second grade students of SMPN 1 KERUAK that consist of 284 students that consist of eight different classes. In which the sample of this research used two classes where VIII.1 Class as experimental group consisted of 32 student and VIII.3 as control group consisted of 31 students. The experimental was taught by Ransom Note Game Game and control group taught by Puzzle Game. The instruments that used were objective test with multiple choices, matching word, fill in the blank and true or false. The analysis used t-test formula. The result of the analysis, showed that the value of to (t obtained) 2, 0888 was higher than tt (t table) 1, 8702, the significant level 0, 05. Based on the result of this investigation, it was proved that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. In other words, there was significant effect of Ransom Note Game in learning vocabulary at the second grade students at SMPN 1 KERUAK in academic year 2016/2017.

The aim of this study was to investigate whether or not there was any significant effect on the second grade students’ reading comprehension taught by using Big Books as teaching media. The design of this study used post test only control group of quasi experimental research. Therefore the population of this study was second grade students in south Bali. The data were analyzed by using descriptive and inferential statistical analysis. The result of the data analysis showed that students in experimental group performed better than the students in control group. It was proven by the resultthat showed the mean score of the experimental group was 81.59 while the mean score of the control group was 73.64. The result of the t-test also showed the value of t-observed (tobs) was 3.009 and the value of t-critical value (tcv) was 2.018. It shows the value of tobs is higher than the value of tcv. Therefore, it could be concluded that there was significant effect of Big Books as teaching media on the second grade students’ reading comprehension in south Bali.

This study aims to find out whether there is a significant effect of applying audio-visual method on students’ Speaking achievement of second grade students at SMPN 2 Kendari or not. Population of this research is the entire second grade class in academic year 2017/2018 of SMPN 2 Kendari. The total numbers of the population are 280 students where class VIII B as experimental class  and VIII A as control class were chosen as the sample of this study used purposive sampling technique. This study applied quasi-experimental design which concerned on two groups; they are control group and experimental group. These two groups received a different treatment. The implementation of audio-visual method was applied on experimental class. The data which analyzed in this study was quantitative data; it gained from the pretest and posttest result of the two classes which analyzed using descriptive statistic and inferential analysis (Independent sample t-test). The result shows that the gain of the mean score of experimental class 1.76 is higher than the gain score of control class 0.57. It shows that teaching speaking by Audiovisual method in the experimental class has a better effect in enhancing students’ speaking achievement. Then the result of hypothesis testing showed that the value of  Sig. (2-tailed) is 0.044 which smaller than (<0.05). Hence, it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted which means that there is significant effect of Audiovisual method on students’ speaking achievement at eight grade of SMP N 2 Kendari. Keywords: Speaking, Audiovisual, Learning method

This research conducted with the consideration that speaking ability can be enhanced with the implementation of Four Square Method  This research was attended to find out the extent to which utilizing Four Square Method in teaching speaking will enhance students’ speaking skill or not and to investigate students’ perception in utilizing Four Square Method in enhancing their speaking ability. The researcher used a quasi-experimental design involved two groups, they are: an experimental group that used Four Square Method while control group that used traditional method. The data of pre-test and post-test were analyzed by two independent raters by refering to Heaton’s speaking band score; while the students perception toward the implementation of Four Square Method was analyzed by using Likert's ’cale. There were 60 participants in this research where 30 in the experimental group and 30 in the control group. They were second grade students of SMAN 1 Baubau. The instruments used were speaking test, questionnaire and recorder. After the data analyzed, the researcher lounched that there is a significant enhancement of students’ speaking ability as the mean score of experimental group (accuracy: pre-test 2.80 and post-test 4.07), control group (accuracy: pre-test 3.73 and post-test 3.67). Experimental group (fluency: pres-test 2.70  and post-test 4.10), control group (fluency: pre-test 4.03 and post-test 3.57). Experimental group (comprehensibility: pre-test 2,63 and post-test 3,93) while control group (comprehensibility: pre-test 3.57 and post-test 3.73) and experimental group (content: pre-test 2.87 and post-test 4.43) while control group (content: pre-test 4.13 and post-test 4.40). Students’ perception toward the implementation of Four Square Method (FSM) was positive; 66.7% from the students (20) had high interest and 33.3% (10 students) categorized as moderate. It declares that Four Square Method is effective in enhancing student’s speaking ability.

This research is aimed at finding the comparative study between Buzz Group and Critical Debate toward students’ speaking achievement. This research was experimental research. Statistic formula was used as the technique of data analysis. The subject of this research consisted of 44 students at the second grade students of MA Darul Qur’an Bengkel. The technique of collecting data used pre-test and post-test. The mean score of experimental group was 48.72 for pre-test, 66.18 for post-test and control group was 46.18 for pre-test, 63.27 for post-test. Variance of experimental group was 68.21, 62.91 for variance of control group and ttest score was 0.13 and t-table in significance level of 0.05 was 1.682 with degree of freedom was 42. It showed that t-test was higher than t-table, so that way, alternative hypothesis accepted and null hypothesis rejected. Therefore, the writer concluded there was significant compare of Buzz Group and Critical Debate towards students’ speaking achievement at the second grade students of MA Darul Qur’an Bengkel in academic year 2017/2018.

The researcher aims at finding out the effectiveness of using short storyin improving students’ verbal vocabulary mastery. The subject of the research was the second grade students of SMAN 2 Bulukumba. In collecting the data, this research used pre-test and post-test. The type of this research was quantitative with quasi-experimental design. It was applied with two group’s pre-test and post-test design. The population of this study is 215 students from the second grade students of SMAN 2 Bulukumba. This study is quantitative research with quasi experimental design by using 27 students in control class and 30 students in experimental class. This is proved by figure of means group, the standard deviation and value of t-test  which revealed that the mean score of experimental group is higher than the mean score of control group. The result in t-test of experimental class is higher than  t-table. It  showed that t-table 1, 25>t-table at significance level 2,0 and 12,89> 2.045 t-table at 0,05 (98%). It means that using short story  was more effective in improving  students’ verbal vocabulary mastery at the second grade students of SMAN 2 Bulukumba.

This study was about experimenting the effectiveness of Jigsaw technique in teaching writing descriptive text at second-grade students of SMPN 21 Mataram. The research method was quasi-experimental research with nonequivalent control group design. The finding showed the mean score of the experimental group was 13.3 and the mean score of the control group was 7.2. After analyzing the data, it was found that t-test was 3.657. The degree of freedom (df) was Nx+Ny-2 = 38 from 40 students as the samples. The researcher got score 2,042 for confident level 0.05 or 95% and score 2,750 for confident level 0.01 or 99%. It means that using the Jigsaw technique in teaching writing descriptive text is effective.
