The article presents data on the study of the effect of foliar water-soluble mineral fertilizer NOVATEK Solub K-Max 10-5-30 on the biochemical composition and commercial quality of apple fruits. A rise in vitamin C from the introduction of NOVATEK at a rate of 2.5 kg/ha indicates the effectiveness of this drug for optimizing the content of ascorbic acid in fruits. An increase in the content of monosaccharides and a decrease in disaccharides were found for all the studied rates of consumption of agrochemicals. The use of mineral fertilizer “Novatek Solub K-Max” contributed to increase the dry weight of fruits. The application of this mineral fertilizer is recommended for inclusion in the industry regulations for Apple cultivation as one of the elements of the technology.

The article presents an analysis of the biochemical composition of apple varieties (Malus domestica B.) with immunity to scab. Domestic and foreign apple varieties are used as research objects. Variability in fruits in the content of ascorbic acid (AA), soluble solids (SDS), P-active compounds, and titratable acids was noted. The high content of AA is noted in Uspenskoe, Skala, Bylina, Flagman, Yubilyar apple varieties. Long-term studies have revealed intervarietal differences in biochemical composition and variation of this trait over the years in apples. Varieties with valuable biochemical composition and immunity to scab can be used in organic food production, as well as in further breeding work to improve the quality of fruits.

The aim of the study was a comparative study of the biochemical composition of the apple fruits of domestic varieties and hybrids, suitable for organic farming, not inferior to the best in the world in terms of content of biologically active compounds. The biochemical composition of 13 apple varieties of diff erent geographical origin was studied by representative methods. It is proved that the antioxidant activity of apples grown in the Moscow region is 3-5 % higher than the antioxidant activity of imported varieties. The relationship between the antioxidant activity of the aqueous extract obtained from fresh fruits, titratable acidity (r = 0.58549) and ascorbic acid content (r = 0.468335) was established. The varieties Golden delicious, Granny Smith and Royal Gala are not superior to the content of the most important biologically active substances the new varieties and hybrids of All-Russian Horticultural Institute for Breeding, Agrotechnology and Nursery. Gallic acid was most found in apples hybrid 1 (0.075 mg/g) and varieties Antonovka Obyknovennaya, Chinese Kerr, Mayak Zagorya, Podarok Grafskomy, Marat Busurin, Lobo and Royal Gala (average 0.063 mg/g). In apple varieties Granny Smith and Golden delicious, the content of gallic acid was 1.3-2 times less compared to a hybrid 1. The content of chlorogenic acid in fruits was on average 25-45 % more than the gallic. The order of accumulation of elements in fruits and their total content was established. Diff erences in the composition of carbohydrates in the studied fruits were revealed.

The generalized results of a comprehensive long-term assessment (2015-2019) of biochemical and technical indicators of the quality of apple fruits of promising varieties (Malus domestica x Borkh.), including: the valuable initial parental forms and new varieties of regional selection, different in ploidy and genetic origin are presented, grown in the conditions of the South of Russia. This work used the generally accepted modern methods and programs for the variety study of fruit plants developed at the North Caucasian Federal Scientific Center for Horticulture, Viticulture, Wine-making (NCFSCHVW). The aim of the study was to select the source material of the apple fruit quality, which is valuable for the breeding, and the sources of the target traits based on the analysis of longterm data on the assessment of the biochemical composition of promising varieties of different ploidy and genetic origin. As a result of the comprehensive assessment of the main indicators of the quality of apple fruits in a varietal section, the sources of significant traits of apple tree for breeding use were identified: large-fruited, bright red and pure yellow color, improved chemical composition of fruits. According to the data of a longterm studies of the quality indicators of the apple fruits of introduced varieties and varieties of selection of the FSBSI NCFSCHVW, genotypes with an improved biochemical composition were identified for the use in the selection process: diploids: Champion, Orpheus (sugar content 10.5% and 10.8%, respectively); triploids: Soyuz, Vasilisa and the diploid variety Fortuna (vitamin C - more than 10.0 mg / 100 g); diploids: Margo, Vasilisa (P-active substances - more than 110.0 mg / 100 g).

The work is devoted to modeling the growth of optically dense microalgae cultures in natural light. The basic model is based on the idea of the two-stage photoautotrophic growth of microalgae. It is shown that the increase in the intensity of sunlight in the first half of the day can be described by a linear equation. Analytical equations for the growth of biomass of microalgae and its macromolecular components are obtained. As the initial conditions, it is assumed that at the time of sunrise, the concentration of reserve biomass compounds is zero. The simulation results show that after sunrise, the growth of the microalgae culture is due only to an increase in the reserve part of the biomass, while the structural part practically does not change over six hours. Changes in the ratio of the reserve and structural parts of the biomass indicate a change in the biochemical composition of cells.
