Tree comparisons are used in various areas with various statistical or dissimilarity measures. Given that data in various domains are diverse, and a particular comparison approach could be more appropriate for specific applications, there is a need to evaluate different comparison approaches. As gathering real data is often an extensive task, using generated trees provides a faster evaluation of the proposed solutions. This paper presents three algorithms for generating random trees: parametrized by tree size, shape based on the node distribution and the amount of difference between generated trees. The motivation for the algorithms came from unordered trees that are created from class hierarchies in object-oriented programs. The presented algorithms are evaluated by statistical and dissimilarity measures to observe stability, behavior, and impact on node distribution. The results in the case of dissimilarity measures evaluation show that the algorithms are suitable for tree comparison.

Finite‐difference seismic models are commonly set up in 2-D space. Such models must be excited by a line source which leads to different amplitudes than those in the real data commonly generated from a point source. Moreover, there is no provision for any out‐of‐plane events. These problems can be eliminated by using 3-D finite‐difference models. The fundamental strategy in designing efficient 3-D models is to minimize computational work without sacrificing accuracy. This was accomplished by using a (4,2) differencing operator which ensures the accuracy of much larger operators but requires many fewer numerical operations as well as significantly reduced manipulation of data in the computer memory. Such a choice also simplifies the problem of evaluating the wave field near the subsurface boundaries of the model where large operators cannot be used. We also exploited the fact that, unlike the real data, the synthetic data are free from ambient noise; consequently, one can retain sufficient resolution in the results by optimizing the frequency content of the source signal. Further computational efficiency was achieved by using the concept of the exploding reflector which yields zero‐offset seismic sections without the need to evaluate the wave field for individual shot locations. These considerations opened up the possibility of carrying out a complete synthetic 3-D survey on a supercomputer to investigate the seismic response of a large‐scale structure located in Oklahoma. The analysis of results done on a geophysical workstation provides new insight regarding the role of interference and diffraction in the interpretation of seismic data.

Thek-modes clustering algorithm has been widely used to cluster categorical data. In this paper, we firstly analyzed thek-modes algorithm and its dissimilarity measure. Based on this, we then proposed a novel dissimilarity measure, which is named as GRD. GRD considers not only the relationships between the object and all cluster modes but also the differences of different attributes. Finally the experiments were made on four real data sets from UCI. And the corresponding results show that GRD achieves better performance than two existing dissimilarity measures used ink-modes and Cao’s algorithms.

  The company's information system that currently mainstay is Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). The different data systems and real data at PT OTKA and Odoo make the company need to evaluate so that the gap does not continue. This study uses Fit/Gap Analysis which is used to compare whether the system is in line with company expectations, and then Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) to obtain the Risk Priority Number (RPN) level. The evaluation results of a system evaluation described by the Unified Modeling Language and mockup User Interface. The research data uses primary and secondary data. The data validity uses the triangulation method. The results of this study are PT OTKA has not implemented the Odoo maximally because the percentage of Gap is greater than the Fit. After risk analysis, two processes with the highest RPN, each of it is 448, which is updating the inventory of goods in and out automatically. So recommendations for companies are the result of special processes and actors who can monitor each goods transfer.

Abstract. Random response is a very common aberrant response behavior in personality tests and may negatively affect the reliability, validity, or other analytical aspects of psychological assessment. Typically, researchers use a single person-fit index to identify random responses. This study recommends a three-step person-fit analysis procedure. Unlike the typical single person-fit methods, the three-step procedure identifies both global misfit and local misfit individuals using different person-fit indices. This procedure was able to identify more local misfit individuals than single-index method, and a graphical method was used to visualize those particular items in which random response behaviors appear. This method may be useful to researchers in that it will provide them with more information about response behaviors, allowing better evaluation of scale administration and development of more plausible explanations. Real data were used in this study instead of simulation data. In order to create real random responses, an experimental test administration was designed. Four different random response samples were produced using this experimental system.

The multiple effect evaporator (MEE) is an energy intensive step in the kraft pulping process. The exergetic analysis can be useful for locating irreversibilities in the process and pointing out which equipment is less efficient, and it could also be the object of optimization studies. In the present work, each evaporator of a real kraft system has been individually described using mass balance and thermodynamics principles (the first and the second laws). Real data from a kraft MEE were collected from a Brazilian plant and were used for the estimation of heat transfer coefficients in a nonlinear optimization problem, as well as for the validation of the model. An exergetic analysis was made for each effect individually, which resulted in effects 1A and 1B being the least efficient, and therefore having the greatest potential for improvement. A sensibility analysis was also performed, showing that steam temperature and liquor input flow rate are sensible parameters.

The paper presents the system of predicting the indicators of accreditation of technical universities based on J. Forrester mechanism of system dynamics. According to analysis of cause-and-effect relationships between selected variables of the system (indicators of accreditation of the university) there was built the oriented graph. The complex of mathematical models developed to control the quality of training engineers in Russian higher educational institutions is based on this graph. The article presents an algorithm for constructing a model using one of the simulated variables as an example. The model is a system of non-linear differential equations, the modelling characteristics of the educational process being determined according to the solution of this system. The proposed algorithm for calculating these indicators is based on the system dynamics model and the regression model. The mathematical model is constructed on the basis of the model of system dynamics, which is further tested for compliance with real data using the regression model. The regression model is built on the available statistical data accumulated during the period of the university's work. The proposed approach is aimed at solving complex problems of managing the educational process in universities. The structure of the proposed model repeats the structure of cause-effect relationships in the system, and also provides the person responsible for managing quality control with the ability to quickly and adequately assess the performance of the system.

The aim of the study is to systematically analyze the data available in the modern literature on the relationship between endometrial thickness and the frequency of pregnancy in the program of assisted reproductive technologies (ART). Materials and methods. The review includes data from foreign and domestic articles found in PubMed on this topic. Results. The article presents data on the relationship between the thickness of the endometrium and the frequency of pregnancy in ART programs. The greatest number of studies is devoted to the evaluation of the relationship between the thickness of the endometrium and the frequency of pregnancy on the day of the ovulation trigger. Data are presented on the existence of a correlation between the thickness of the endometrium measured on the day of the ovulation trigger and the frequency of clinical pregnancy, as well as data on the need to evaluate the structure of the endometrium and the state of subendometric blood flow. The importance of multilayered (three-layered) endometrium as a prognostic marker of success in in vitro fertilization/intracytoplasmic sperm injection programs in the ovum is emphasized. The conclusion. The thickness of the endometrium can not be used as an argument for canceling the cycle or abolishing embryo transfer to the uterine cavity. Further studies in this direction are needed with a study of the morphological and molecular genetic characteristics of the endometrium, which in the future will allow us to evaluate the relationship between the thickness of the endometrium and the probability of pregnancy.
