Traditional teaching methods rely solely on the use of textbooks, but teaching effectiveness assessment methods have demonstrated that most students taught by this method do not absorb the course content up to the expected level. Multiple researchers have introduced nontraditional teaching methods, but there is no scientific consensus on the best nontraditional teaching methods that are tailored to learners’ abilities while most effectively addressing the course objectives. Therefore, the goal of this review was to address the following questions across all engineering disciplines, based on learners’ abilities and the course objectives: (a) What are the benefits of nontraditional teaching methods? and (b) How would you categorize the benefits of nontraditional teaching methods? A qualitative review was conducted to achieve these goals, and the initial search for papers, using relevant keywords, resulted in more than 2000 peer-reviewed articles that were published between 2000 and 2017. A total of 125 peer-reviewed articles pertaining to the most frequently studied nontraditional teaching methods were comprehensively studied and analyzed. The analysis resulted in practical guidelines, including a list of the benefits of the five studied nontraditional teaching methods (flipped classroom, gamification, case study, self-learning, and social media) belonging to four categories: technical/professional, personal skills/ability, personal attitude, and time and space. Based on the results, the authors established significant guidelines for instructors who aim to optimize learners’ achievements by adopting the most effective teaching styles, based on their course objectives and the learners’ abilities.

Online courses are gaining popularity because they provide extensive and varied course material, information, knowledge, and skills, whilst also creating an effective educational online community. This research adopts a case study approach to focus on the teaching method and the manner in which a strategic commitment to eLearning provides scope for the development and implementation of top quality educational online fully accredited programs. Entrepreneurship focuses on developing businesses that add value and create wealth and prosperity in our societies. Therefore, entrepreneurship is a key area of learning for graduate students seeking to set up and operate their own SME organizations. It can serve as a benchmark for the teaching of other graduate subjects that require a sound correlation for the correlation of concepts and theories to the challenging complexities of the real world. The program was developed on the basis of the implementation of a state-of-the-art eLearning platform that allowed for a combination of varied self-learning and collaborative learning elements and activities within a single platform. This enabled students to access the online content material efficiently and effectively. It allows for the development of a program based on the flipped classroom teaching methodology. The underlying concept of the flipped classroom methodology is that effective eLearning should comprise both synchronous and asynchronous learning activities. This combination of self-learning and collaborative learning calls for careful planning by the tutor to ensure that the learning objectives are clearly defined for each activity and that the relevant deliverables are monitored. The content material for each subject course module was designed, developed, produced, and presented by the different project partners in a holistic manner structured to motivate participants to learn. The results of our analysis have shown that students were able to learn, discuss their projects, and cooperate during an online course in an effective and participant-focused manner with their tutors. The feedback given highlights the importance of ongoing communications between students and the tutors who often need to act as mentors to retain student engagement.

In the present scenario, the innovation in teaching is necessary to engage the students for the course of 36 to 40 hours. At the end of the course, the average student's strength will excel in performance and attains the course outcome with in-depth knowledge. To overcome the difficulties of slow and inactive learners for attaining the course outcome, it is necessary to renovate the teaching methodology. A few innovative learning methods like think pair share (TPS) activity, flipped classroom, online education, virtual classroom techniques, project-based learning, activity-based learning provoke the inactive or slow learners to be more active in learning the course. From studies, the current generation students are smart, and they feel conventional teaching methods like blackboard and PowerPoint presentations are monotonous. Here, the significance and impact of using ICT tools over conventional teaching methods is discussed on the fluid power automation course as a case study.

Self-assessment is a process of continuous reflection, self-monitoring, and selfjudgment, to review an individual’s strengths and weaknesses and helps to discover areas which need improvement. It involves an individual’s learning from his experiences, by judging his personal, educational as well as his professional performance. Selfassessment enables teachers to get control over their progress. It can serve as one of the most influential tools for the measurement of teacher quality. The researcher of this study administered a questionnaire which consisted of two parts. Part one comprised of SITE II (Self-assessment Instrument for Teacher Evaluation II) on which teachers rated themselves, and part two was designed to explore teachers’ opinion about the effectiveness of self-assessment. The sample comprised of 107 teachers of higher secondary level. The basic motive of the researcher was to enhance learning through self-assessment to know if such self-assessment exercises may promote quality teaching in classrooms. It was found that the respondents viewed that self-assessment helps them understand their strengths and weaknesses. It establishes teachers’ involvement in self-learning, which can serve as a sound basis in the teaching process. By doing self-assessment, teachers can re-consider as to how they are teaching in their classrooms.

Motivation carries a key role while learning a foreign language. Understanding the motivators and factors which impact students’ motivation would help to improve the quality of the lessons. Thus, this study aims to identify the main motivator in acquiring the English language among teenage students at the Pre-Foundation course of Westminster International University in Tashkent. The research also finds out general impressions of students towards their teachers, parents, and group mates at the course. Quantitative type of research was implemented. The questionnaire was designed and the teenage students of the Course for Pre-Foundation Studies were invited to complete online survey. The methodology of the study was adopted from Abdul Rahman H., et al (2017) and modified appropriately. According to the current study results, teachers are the motivators with prevalent influence on teenage students’ learning, whereas personal attitude and peers also had enormous impact in studying English language. Crowdfunding is a new method in fundraising activities based online. Moreover, the level of penetration of social media to the community is increasingly high. This makes social activists and academics realize that it is important to study social media communication strategies in crowdfunding activities. The purpose of this study was to determine what type of marketing communication objectives are present in the digital content marketing developed by luxury auto brands with social media presence in Puerto Rico, particularly Facebook. A longitudinal multiple-case study design was used to analyze five luxury auto brands using content analysis on Facebook posts. This analysis included identification of marketing communication objectives through social media content marketing strategies, type of media content and social media metrics. Our results showed that the most used objectives are brand awareness, brand personality, and brand salience. Another significant result is that digital content marketing used by brands in social media are focused towards becoming more visible and recognized; also, reflecting human-like traits and attitudes in their social media.
