The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of online brand community (OBC) engagement on strategic aspects for the brand supporting the community. A total of 628 valid responses were collected through a self-administered questionnaire. The authors tested the proposed model using structural equation modeling. The results show that OBC engagement directly favors participation in the community, willingness to co-create with the brand, and positive sord-of-mouth (WOM); it also has an indirect positive influence on brand loyalty. At the same time, OBC engagement is directly influenced by OBC identification and, through this, indirectly influenced by brand identification. Likewise, brand trust directly influences brand co-creation, loyalty, and positive WOM. However, OBC participation has been shown to have no significant effect on brand co-creation and positive WOM.

This study aims to understand the influence of the four elements of the relationship or customer- centric model in the online brand community (relationship between customer-product, customer-brand, customer-company, and customer-other customers) on brand trust in the realm of social media, by measuring moderation effects of community engagement and brand community types. The respondents are 220 respondents, coming from two types of brand community: consumer-initiated and company-initiated brand community. In general, the measurement is done by using structural equation modeling method. The results obtained from the analysis of this study are from the four elements of existing relationships in the online brand community (customer relationships with product, brand, company, and other customers), only customer-brand relationships that significantly affects brand trust. The results are different from previous studies, so it is interesting to investigate further. Furthermore, this research also found moderation effect of community engagement and community types in the relationship between online brand community and brand trust.

This study aims to evaluate the role of satisfaction and commitment as mediating the effect of service quality on student loyalty as the user of Open University's Online Tutorial. Based on data analysis on student of Management program 229 as respondents with Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), this study found the relationship between: (1) positive influence of service quality to satisfaction and loyalty of students using tuton; (2) the positive effect of satisfaction on student loyalty using tuton; (3) satisfaction is a mediator between service quality and loyalty of students using tuton. Conversely, commitment has no positive effect on student loyalty as a tuton user. In addition, commitment does not mediates the effect of satisfaction on the loyalty of tuton users. Fashion retailers are increasingly using influencer marketing to build a consumer-brand relationship. However, influencer marketing remains an understudied area, and choosing from among traditional attractive celebrity influencers and expert influencers remains a conundrum for marketers. Hence, this research examines the comparative effectiveness of an attractive celebrity influencer, vis-à-vis an expert influencer on online consumer-brand engagement, further resulting in an online impulse purchase. The moderating role of impulse buying tendency between online consumer-brand engagement and online impulse purchase is also examined. Using survey data from respondents following fashion influencers, the author tested the proposed hypotheses using structural equation modeling. The findings indicate that attractive celebrity influencers exhibit a significant effect on online consumer-brand engagement, which further leads to online impulse purchase. The findings also establish the moderating effect of impulse buying tendency and the mediating role of online consumer-brand engagement.

This study aims to examine and validate the impact of big data analytical capabilities (individual, organizational, and technological) on bank performance via the mediating role of Fintech innovation in commercial banks operating in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Based on a literature review, resource-based theory, and financial innovation theory, an integrated conceptual framework was developed to guide the study. A quantitative survey approach was used, and the data was collected from 236 banks' senior managers (IT, financial, and marketers). Amos 21 structural equation modeling (SEM) was used to analyze and verify the study variables. The main findings revealed that big data analytical capabilities had a significant positive influence on bank performance. Fintech innovation acted as partial mediators in this relationship.

Introduction: The present study aimed to examine a proposed model for the relationship between resilience and emotional reactions to failure, mediated by self-compassion and Emotion Regulation (ER) among martial artists. Materials and Methods: A total of 286 athletes (191 males & 95 females; Mean±SD age: 20.98±3.30 years) from different disciplines of martial arts (taekwondo, karate, Judo, & wushu) engaged in league championship participated in the study. Athletes completed the Sports Mental Toughness Questionnaire (SMTQ), the Positive and Negative Affect Schedule (PANAS), the Self-Compassion Scale (SCS), and the Cognitive Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (CERQ). The proposed model was evaluated using structural equation modeling. Results: The obtained results revealed that resilience has direct and indirect effects on emotional reactions to failure. Furthermore, self-compassion and maladaptive ER play a partial negative mediating role between resilience and emotional reactions to failure. However, the mediating role of adaptive ER was not significant. Conclusion: The study data predicted negative emotional reactions to failure based on resilience, mediated by self-compassion and ER among martial artists; thus, these data indicate the necessity of paying attention to the development of resilience in martial artists. This method emphasizes self-compassion and the reduction of maladaptive ER for better recovery of failure and reduces its effects.

This research aims to analyze the effect of Online Brand Community (OBC) on E-loyalty in the Indonesian e-commerce industry. This research was conducted by quantitative approach with the dependent variable of this research being e-loyalty (Y), and online brand community (X) as independent variable. The object includes all followers of Tokopedia, Bukalapak and OLX official Instagram accounts. The research uses a simple random sampling method and probability sampling techniques to 200 account users. Data analysis technique is implemented by using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with IBM SPSS AMOS version 22.0. The findings indicate the significant effect of online brand community on e-loyalty. The results theoretically imply the need for community engagement in online marketing as one of the online brand community’s dimensions which can give the contribution of e-loyalty building.

This research aims to figure out the influence of brand personality and brand trust on purchasing decisions of Meccanism Boutique. The indicators that used to measure the brand personality are sincerity,excitement,competence,and sophistication. The data processing is done through Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach with a sample of one hundred respondents. The results showed that there is a positive influence of brand personality on the brand trust, and there is an influence of brand trust on purchasing decisions, and indirect influence of brand personality on purchasing decisions through the brand trust. While directly, the brand personality is not proven to have an effect on purchasing decisions.

PurposeThe purpose of this empirical paper is to identify the role of social networking information (SNI) on job candidates' pre-employment background checking (PBC) process. SNI was further divided into three elements: perceived availability of information (PAI), perceived accuracy of information (PACI) and perceived reliability of information (PRI). In addition, the authors employed two mediating variables: perceived benefit (PB) and organizational branding (OB) to study the influence of each element of SNI on PBC.Design/methodology/approachThe authors used primary data collected from a valid sample of 465 using a structured questionnaire survey selected through purposive sampling. For descriptive analysis, SPSS 24 and for testing the hypothesized relationships, structural equation modeling technique (with AMOS 24) were utilized.FindingsThe results indicated that only PAI had strong positive influence on PBC. The other two independent variables: PACI and PRI had insignificant positive influence on PBC. In case of mediators, OB was found to partially mediate the relationship between PAI and PBC while it did not mediate two other direct relationships. Further, PB did not mediate any relationship at all.Research limitations/implicationsThe paper is expected to be useful for the academicians involved in investigating the role of SNI on PBC as a lucrative research topic.Practical implicationsThe hiring professionals can utilize the findings of this primary research as the guidelines for formulating effective social media background checking policies.Originality/valueUsing SNI for different HRM practices is comparatively new but a growing practice. However, the empirical investigation covering this area is almost absent in academia. This paper as one of the very initial attempts to reveal the role of SNI on PBC can fill that severe gap to some extent and guide future research attempts. Furthermore, the HR professionals are expected to be benefitted from the empirical results in formulating and implementing an effective media policy that will help them in utilizing the SNI in an efficient and rightful manner.

This study aims at exploring the influence of product design on customer engagement through self-determined needs satisfaction. This study used the survey method in three ways: (1) mall intercept approach, (2) email survey, and (3) survey through Wechat. The sample was collected from 500 customers of electronic products living in Xi’an, China. The data analysis is done through structural equation modeling. Findings show that perceived product design in terms of functional, esthetic, and symbolic design is positively related to self-determined needs (autonomy, relatedness, competence) satisfaction. Furthermore, results reveal that self-determined needs satisfaction has a positive influence on customer engagement. The moderation results show that prevention focused customers moderate the relationship between functional design and self-determined needs satisfaction. Whereas, promotion focused customers moderate the relationship between esthetic design and self-determined needs satisfaction. This study adds value to the self-determination theory by examining the link between product design dimensions and customer engagement through self-determined needs satisfaction. Furthermore, this study adds value to the existing literature on regulatory focus theory.

Although enough research has been carried out on factors inspiring women to start and operate business, there is a need to assess the role of various factors impacting resilience of Indian women entrepreneurs. Women entrepreneurs all over the world are struggling, adapting diverse strategies and innovating in the face of COVID-19, to fight against the crisis and bouncing back to their normal stage. The present study aims at identifying the direct relationships among selected factors in influencing the resilience of women entrepreneurs. The sample for the study comprised 396 women entrepreneurs from different regions of India. This is a survey-based study; a self-administered questionnaire was used for the collection of data. Analysis of the data collected was done using analysis of moment structures based structural equation modelling. Findings of the analysis state a significant and positive influence of entrepreneurial characteristics, resourcefulness, networking, adaptability and continuity in forming the resilient attitude of women entrepreneurs when faced with a crisis situation. The study can be useful to women entrepreneurs, organizations, government and other institutions extending support to entrepreneurs.
