The purpose is to analyse and compare all the academic papers in the proceedings of the European Conference on Knowledge Management (ECKM) in 2017 (Barcelona), 2018 (Padua), 2019 (Lisbon), and the digital conference in 2020 (Coventry). The methodology is to code and classify 440 papers and use five contemporary science frameworks to describe and analyse the papers. The theoretical implication of contemporary KM is a research field without common paradigms, domains, and perspectives without accumulating knowledge. The KM researchers do not understand the nature of knowledge management as a field where the research cannot be replicated, synthesized, or theorized. Knowledge management needs to move along from the empirical research paradigm to a clarified subjectivity and action-basedresearch. The criticism implying acceptable/unacceptable solutions and constructed adequate/inadequate solutions for corporations and societies have strengthened their place, offering new paradigms and perspectives. The way to do this is to let in controversial, greener, and sustainable studies, whatever objectivity or subjectivity the studies have. We need more actual problem focused and less knowledge and instrument focused studies. KM will have a higher responsibility for sustainability and greener corporations and the possibility of accumulating knowledge into replication and synthesizing for general knowledge. The rate of tested and replicated studies is for the four conferences zero. The tested part, but not replicated, is 80%. The rate of untheorized untheorizable concepts is zero, the rate of theorized but not synthesized studies is zero, while the number of synthesized, theorized, and conceptual studies is around 20%. To become a discipline or research domain KM needs to replicate both empirical and conceptual studies. The only way to accumulate knowledge is through replication giving paradigms for verification and falsification. To move ahead for better quality in the research, we must break free from the empirical and materialistic paradigms and move into the clarified subjectivity and action paradigm.  Paradigmatic ecumenism will tend to a fiercer but idea-generating debate. This pluralistic approach will give more engaged practical research representing more sustainable societies and businesses. ECKM is on the road to include more pluralistic perspectives upon sustainability, value creation, gender issues, and the design of future knowledge work. There is a critical openness toward these issues making ECKM 2020 a more relevant conference than the ECKM conferences in 2017, 2018, and 2019. The 2020 conference more open up for reflections, dialogues, and criticism upon existing problems and knowledge asking about what is the adequate actual KM solutions.

Within the past decade, analyzing and modeling human behavior by processing large amounts of collected data has become an active research field in the area of human–machine interaction. The research community is striving to find principled ways to explain and represent important behavioral characteristics of humans, with the goal of developing more efficient and more effective cooperative interactions between humans, machines, and environment. This paper provides a summary of the progress we have achieved to date in our study, which has focused specifically on interactions between driver, vehicle, and driving environment. First, we describe the method of data collection used to develop our on-the-road driving data corpus. We then provide an overview of the data-driven, signal processing approaches we used to analyze and model driver behavior for a wide range of practical vehicle applications. Next, we perform experimental validation by observing the actual driving behavior of groups of real drivers. In particular, the vehicle applications of our research include driver identification, behavior prediction related to car following and lane changing, detection of emotional frustration, and improving driving safety through driver coaching. We hope this paper will provide some insight to researchers with an interest in this field, and help identify areas and applications where further research is needed.

Relevance. The high variability of protection against vaccine-controlled infections, including COVID-19, is one of the actual problem of infectology. Aim. Based on the results of scientific publications and reports, the role of age and sex factors, their interactions and the main mechanisms in the immune response to vaccines, in the improvement of vaccines and vaccination regimens, has been analyzed. Conclusion. It has been shown that vaccine prophylaxis has always developed in the direction of individualization, going through the stages of defining target groups and developing immunization schemes for various groups. The important data obtained in recent decades on the importance of genetic and external factors, in particular, age and sex, in the variability of response to vaccines are analyzed. Analysis of the role of such factors has also been performed for coronavirus vaccines. The necessity and possibilities of next steps that can provide optimal responses of different people to vaccination were discussed.

Over the past two decades, our knowledge of the ecological impacts of roads has increased rapidly. It is now clear that the environmental effects of transportation infrastructure are inextricable from transportation benefits to economic, social, and cultural values. Despite the necessity of optimizing these multiple values, road planners, scientists, and practitioners have no established methodology or pluralistic approach to address growing ethical complexities. We articulate five ethical issues that could be addressed by developing an ethic of road ecology in order to facilitate the identification, reasoning, and harmonization of ethical dimensions of road planning and development. This inquiry into road ecology can draw lessons from existing applied ethics, such as in ecological restoration and urban planning, to build a narrative that is informed by both science and ethics. We illustrate five ethical issues presented through case studies that elaborate on the motivations, responsibilities, and duties that should be considered in ethically and scientifically complicated road building decisions. To address these issues, we encourage the development of a code of ethics, dedicated intellectual forums, and practical guidance to assist road planners, and more broadly transportation practitioners, to resolve complex ethical quandaries systematically. We hope this perspective encourages conversation for a holistic yet pragmatic approach to this applied ethics problem, while also assisting responsible parties as they navigate difficult moral terrain.

Introductory programming is an essential part of the curriculum in any engineering discipline in universities. However, for many beginning students, it is very difficult to learn. In particular, these students often get stuck and frustrated when attempting to solve programming exercises. One way to assist beginning programmers to overcome difficulties in learning to program is to use intelligent tutoring systems (ITSs) for programming, which can provide students with personalized hints of students’ solving process in programming exercises. Currently, mostly these systems manually construct the domain models. They take much time to construct, especially for exercises with very large solution spaces. One of the major challenges associated with handling ITSs for programming comes from the diversity of possible code solutions that a student can write. The use of data-driven approaches to develop these ITSs is just starting to be explored in the field. Given that this is still a relatively new research field, many challenges are still remained unsolved. Our goal in this paper is to review and classify analysis techniques that are requested to generate data-driven hints in ITSs for programming. This work also aims equally to identify the possible future directions in this research field.

AbstractMetallic foams have become an attractive research field both from a scientific viewpoint and the prospect of industrial applications. Various methods for making such foams are available. Some techniques start from specially prepared molten metals with adjusted viscosities. Such melts can be foamed by injecting gases or by adding gas-releasing blowing agents that decompose in situ, causing the formation of bubbles. Another method is to prepare supersaturated metal–gas systems under high pressure and initiate bubble formation by pressure and temperature control. Yet a further class of techniques begins with solid precursors containing a blowing agent. These can be prepared by mixing metal powders with a blowing agent, compacting the mix, and then foaming the compacted mix by melting. Alternatively, casting routes can be used to make such precursors. The unique properties of foams offer promise in a variety of applications ranging from lightweight construction and impact-energy absorption to various types of acoustic damping and thermal insulation.

With the improvement of living standard and the development of science and technology, Internet of Vehicle (IOV) will play an important part in industrial transportation as a main research field of Internet of Things. As a result, it is very necessary to grasp the location of vehicle. However, the traditional single global position system is easily affected by the external environment, so an accessorial locating approach based on wideband direction of arrival (DOA) estimation in intelligent transportation is proposed. First, model the array received signal on the road infrastructure. Then, by means of random forest regression (RFR) in the supervised learning, upper triangle elements of the covariance matrix of each frequency and the actual DOA are, respectively, extracted as the input features and output parameters; thus, the corresponding prediction coefficients are solved by training. After that, the trained RFR model can be used to calculate the final direction using test samples. Finally, these vehicles can be located according to the geometrical relation between the vehicle and the infrastructure. The proposed algorithm is not only suitable for uncorrelated signals but also for uncorrelated and correlated mixed signals without wideband focusing. The simulations show that compared with some sparse recovery algorithm, the prediction accuracy and resolution are effectively improved.

<p><strong>Abstract</strong></p><p>Eşme district is located within the administrative boundaries of Uşak province in the Inner-Western Anatolia Section of Aegean Region. The research field, which covers an area of 1156 km2, includes a municipality with 60 villages and 114 towns. Eşme is surrounded by Uşak central district in the north, Ulubey district in the east, Denizli district in the south, and Manisa's Alaşehir, Sarıgöl and Kula districts in the west. Eşme is located within the drainage basin of Büyük Menderes and Gediz rivers. The side branches of these two rivers forming the most important rivers of the Aegean Region also approach each other within the boundaries of Eşme. There are few numbers of water sources and water structures with surface flow in the district. This has increased the number of fountains that are regarded as cultural treasures. Even though these small water structures built to meet the water needs of travelers on the road are given different names in different regions, they are generally referred as "fountain". On the roads leading to different directions from the district of Eşme, these fountains are arranged along the linear lines. The most frequent place to see these structures is the main road route connecting Eşme to Uşak. Fountains are arranged on this line at irregular intervals. There are also numerous fountains along the road connecting Eşme to the Uşak-İzmir highway in the north and extending along the ridge. There are also a number of original fountains on the village roads extending from Omurca town to the northwest and connecting the villages of Eşme to each other. Several fountains can also be found along the roads surrounding Ahmetler in the vicinity of the present Eşme Vocational High School in the outskirts of Eşme. Having once met the water needs of the travelers, these small water structures have recently lost their functions, and they go to ruins and disappear one by one.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Öz</strong></p><p>Eşme ilçesi, Ege Bölgesi’nin İç Batı Anadolu Bölümü’nde, Uşak ili yönetim sınırları içerisinde yer almaktadır.
