The paper presents the characterization of composite coatings with nickel matrix using as dispersed phases Al2O3 particles, both from the microstructural point of view and from the point of view of the layer thickness, micro-hardness and corrosion behavior in saline fog. The presence of dispersed phase particles led to the finishing of the structure because they acted as nucleus centres, reducing the size of nickel crystallites. The parameters of the deposits influence the structure and properties of the obtained layers.

The undertaken research which is described in this paper aims at the corrosion behaviour of composite coatings in nickel matrix using as dispersed phase technical alumina with dimensions of 5 μm and their characterization from a microstructural point of view. The corrosion resistance in the saline fog of the coatings is influenced by the microstructure, the stresses developed in the layer and the roughness.

The Ni+MoS2composite coatings were obtained by electrolytic co-deposition of crystalline nickel with molybdenum sulfide powder from an electrolyte containing suspension of this powder. For comparison, the Ni coating was also deposited. These coatings were obtained in galvanostatic conditions at the current density ofjdep= -250 mA cm-2. A scanning electron microscope was used for surface morphology characterization of the coatings. The behavior of the coatings was investigated in the process of hydrogen evolution reaction from 5 M KOH solution using steady-state polarization and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy methods. It was found that introduction of molybdenum sulfide into nickel matrix, evokes developed and rough surface which is the reason for the increase in the rate of the HER as comapred to the smooth Ni electrode. Thus obtained coatings may be useful in application as electrode materials for the HER.

The work concerns the literature review which unambiguously shows that the composite coatings which apart from thed-electron metal powder contain another component of the composite, i.e. thep-electron metal powder, have not been obtained so far. This kind of qualitative composition of the coating enables selective extraction of thep-electron metal from the nickel matrix of the composite, as well as – after heat treatment – results in the formation of the mixture of intermetallic phases with the hitherto unknown activity in the electrochemical processes.

Gaining English language learning effectively has been discussed all years long. Similarly, Learners have various troubles outcomes in the learning process. Creating a joyful and comfortable situation must be considered by learners. Thus, the implementation of effective learning strategies is certainly necessary for English learners. This descriptive study has two purposes: first, to introduce the classification and characterization of learning strategies such as; memory, cognitive, metacognitive, compensation, social, and affective strategies that are used by learners in the classroom and second, it provides some questionnaires item based on Strategy of Inventory for Language Learning (SILL) version 5.0 that can be used to examine the frequency of students’ learning strategies in the learning process. The summary of this study explains and discusses the researchers’ point of view on the impact of learning outcomes by learning strategies used. Finally, utilizing appropriate learning strategies are certainly beneficial for both teachers and learners to achieve the learning target effectively.

The article discusses a sequence of activities to identify a crime as jointly committed. The requirements to the algorithm of such activities are formulated. Programme-based and targeted methods applied by the authors allowed detecting a range of stages of the algorithm. The first four stages aim at defining mandatory elements of a crime allowing to characterize it as a jointly committed action. The rest of the stages focus on identifying a type of criminal complicity. In the article, each stage is described. It is emphasized that in each stage there is a special objective. At the same time, all these stages, taken together, constitute a separate module of the program of criminal characterization of an action. From the authors’ point of view, algorithms are necessary not only for detection of crimes and their criminal characterization, but also for answering the question on existence of criminal complicity in each case. Also the authors give their opinions on interpretation of criminal complicity as a legal category. In particular, it is emphasized that not all of crimes merely committed with participation of two or more persons should be understood as jointly committed. It is joint participation that makes a crime jointly committed. Various forms of criminal complicity and types of co-offenders are considered in the article as well. In various crimes, criminal complicity manifests itself differently. Therefore the proposed algorithm can be applied only after identification a specific article of the Russian Criminal Code stipulating the responsibility for the crime committed.

The aim of this study was to prepare TiO2/Ag/Cu magnetron co-sputtered coatings with controlled characteristics and to correlate them with the antimicrobial activity of the coated glass samples. The elemental composition and distribution, surface morphology, wettability, surface energy and its component were estimated as the surface characteristics influencing the bioadhesion. Well expressed, specific, Ag/Cu concentration-dependent antimicrobial activity in vitro was demonstrated toward Gram-negative and Gram-positive standard test bacterial strains both by diffusion 21 assay and by Most Probable Number of surviving cells. Direct contact and eluted silver/coper nanoparticles killing were experimentally demonstrated as a mode of the antimicrobial action of the studied TiO2/Ag/Cu thin composite coatings. It is expected that they would ensure a broad spectrum bactericidal activity during the indwelling of the coated medical devices and for at least 12 h after that, with the supposition that the benefits will be over a longer time.
