The Impact of Financial Distress, Corporate Governance, and Auditor Switching on Audit Delay

Objective – The purpose of this study is to examine the effect between financial distress, corporate governance, auditor switching and audit delay. This research sample using data on a manufacturing company on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Methodology – The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis technique. Findings– The research finding show that financial distress and the size of the audit committee have a significant effect on audit delay, while the concentration of ownership, managerial ownership, change of directors, and auditor switching has no significant effect on audit delay. Second finding explain that consideration for companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange to pay attention to the timeliness of submitting financial reports and independent auditor reports so as not to get sanctions from the Financial Services Authority. Novelty – Our novelty research using the relationship of Financial Distress, Corporate Governance and Auditor Switching on new research model to Audit Delay. This study aims determine the effect of corporate governance and audit tenure on audit report lag on LQ45 companies listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2016-2018. This research using secondary data. Sampling in this study using purposive sampling using predetermined criteria. Selected samples from companies that Included in LQ45 index on the Stock Exchange for 2016-2018 were 22 companies. The analysis technique used in this study is multiple Linear regression analysis and uses the Eviews version 9 application .The results of this study indicate that partially only internal audit variables have a significant effect on audit report lag, while the board of commissioners, audit committee and audit tenure have no significant effect on audit report lag.

<em>Bond ratings are a scale of risk of all bonds traded, which indicates how safe a bond is. The security of a bond is indicated by its ability to pay interest and repay the loan principal. The purpose of this study is to find out empirical evidence that good corporate governance has an effect on bond ratings. This study uses secondary data. The population in this study are non-financial companies listed on the IDX in 2014-2018. The research sample was selected using purposive sampling method. After subtraction with several criteria, as many as 20 companies were set as the sample. The analysis technique in this study uses multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that institutional ownership and audit committee have a significant effect on bond ratings. Meanwhile, the independent board of commissioners has no significant effect on bond ratings</em>

<pre>The objective of this study is empirically identify the impacts of Good Corporate Governance and capital structure on firm value with financial performance as intervening variable. We operate quantitative approach within the scope of manufacturing company of metal, chemical, and plastic packaging sector which listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2017-2018 periods as the population. Samples are chosen by purposive sampling method inwhich the company must report the financial statement in a row, obtained 79 observations. The data analysis technique used is financial ratio analysis to determine the condition of the business financial ratios of the variables studied. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. The result shows that corporate governance and capital structure influence the firm value, moreover the use of institutional ownership ratio and capital structure will increase the value of the firm. The result also shows that the impact of Corporate governance and capital structure on the company value are mediated by financial performance. It means that the value of the firm can increase if the company able became an effective monitoring tool.</pre>

This study aims to determine the effect of financial distress, company size, and corporate governance on audit delay. This research was conducted at mining companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2015-2017. The number of samples taken was 32 companies so that there were 96 observations, with a purposive sampling method. The analysis technique used in this study is multiple linear regression. Based on the results of the analysis found that financial distress and independent board of commissioners have positive effect on audit delay. The purpose of this study is to look at the effect of good corporate governance (audit committee, board of commissioners) and financial performance (profitability, activity) on disclosure of sustainability reports.  The measurement index used as a reference for the sustainability report in this study is the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) G4 and GRI Standars.  The population in this study is non-financial sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2015-2018.  The sample companies in this study were selected based on a purposive sampling method with several criteria to obtain 12 sample companies.  After the data are collected, data analysis is done using multiple linear regression analysis with the help of the SPSS program.  Based on the results of the analysis, it shows that the profitability variable has a negative effect on the disclosure of sustainability report. While the audit committee variable, board of commissioners, and company activities did not affect the disclosure of sustainability report.   Abstrak: Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat pengaruh good corporate governance (komite audit, dewan komisaris)  dan kinerja keuangan (profitabilitas, aktivitas) terhadap pengungkapan sustainability report.Indeks pengukuran yang digunakan sebagai acuan sustainability report pada penelitian ini adalah Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) G4 dan GRI Standars.  Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah perusahaan sektor non keuangan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia pada tahun 2015-2018.  Perusahaan yang dijadikan sampel dalam penelitian ini dipilih menggunakan metode purposive sampling dengan beberapa kriteria sehingga diperoleh 12 perusahaan sampel.  Analisis data menggunakan regresi linear berganda dengan bantuan program SPSS. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, menunjukkan bahwa variabel profitabilitas berpengaruh negatif terhadap pengungkapan sustainability report.  Sedangkan variabel komite audit, dewan komisaris, dan aktivitas perusahaan tidak berpengaruh terhadap pengungkapan sustainability report.

<p>The purpose of this study is to find empirical evidence of the effect of good corporate governance (Independent Board of Commissioners, Audit Committee, managerial ownership, institutional ownership), Leverage and Company Size on the integrity of financial statements. The sample used in the study was 33 companies listed in the LQ45 category on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the 2015-2017 period. This study uses the method of multiple linear regression analysis. The analytical tool used for hypothesis testing is SPSS 25. The results of this study indicate that the independent board of commissioners has a positive effect on the integrity of financial statements, institutional ownership has a positive effect on the integrity of financial statements. However, the audit committee, managerial ownership, leverage and company size have no influence on the integrity of financial statements.</p>

This study aims to determine the effect of managerial stock, biological asset intensity and firm size on the disclosure of biological assets in agricultural companies listed on the Indonesian stock exchange in 2016-2019. Population in this study were primary consumer goods sector companies in agricultural companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Based on sample selection, there are 52 companies that required The data analysis technique used in this research was the multiple linear regression analysis.. Based on the multiple linear regression analysis, the results show biological asset intensity have a significance below 0.05, namely 0.006. This shows that biological asset intensity have a significant positive effect on biologiocal asset disclosure. However, the firm size and managerial ownership variables have a significance value above 5%. This means that the two variables do not have a significant effect on biological asset disclosure in agricultural companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2016-2019.

AbstractThis study aims to analyze the effect of corporate governance, profitability, and leverage on social and environmental disclosure. The data in this study are 40 property, real estate, and building construction companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2014-2016, so there are 120 observational data. The hypothesis in this study was tested using multiple linear regression analysis with the application of SPSS version 23. The results of this study indicate that institutional ownership, audit committee, and leverage have an effect on social and environmental disclosure. This study aims to find empirical evidence of the influence of corporate governance and firm size on financial distress. The sample used in this study is a banking company listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) for the 2017-2019 period. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling and obtained a sample of 40 samples that met the criteria. The data analysis technique used is multiple regression analysis. The financial distress criteria in this study measured using the Z-score in Altman's financial distress prediction model. Based on the study results, it can be concluded that managerial ownership, the board of commissioners, and the audit committee have no effect on financial distress, while the board of directors has a positive and significant effect on financial distress and firm size has a negative and significant effect on financial distress.

<p>The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of good corporate governance on stock returns. Return is the level of profit obtained by investors on investment activities. Good corporate governance used in this study is an independent board of commissioners, audit committee, managerial ownership, and institutional ownership. This research was conducted using the annual report documentation method of banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2016 to 2019. The sampling method in this study was purposive sampling with the number of samples obtained is 106 samples. Data processing is done by quantitative method using multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the study show that the audit committee and institutional ownership have a negative and significant effect on stock returns, while independent commissioners and managerial ownership have no effect on stock returns.<em></em></p><p><strong>BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRAK</strong></p><p>Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh <em>good corporate governance</em> terhadap pengembalian saham. <em>Return</em> adalah tingkat keuntungan yang diperoleh investor atas kegiatan investasi. <em>Good corporate governance </em>yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah dewan komisaris independen, komite audit, kepemilikan manajerial dan kepemilikan institusional. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode dokumentasi laporan tahunan perusahaan perbankan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) 2016–2019. Metode pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah <em>purposive sampling</em> dengan jumlah sampel yang diperoleh sebanyak 106 sampel. Pengolahan data dilakukan dengan metode kuantitatif dengan menggunakan analisis regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan variabel komite audit dan kepemilikan institusional berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap <em>return</em> saham, sedangkan dewan komisaris independen dan kepemilikan manajerial tidak berpengaruh terhadap <em>return</em> saham.</p><p><strong><br /></strong></p>
