In order to solve the problem that the current precision seeder has difficulty in precision sowing pepper seeds, an air-suction pepper seed metering device based on air supply and quantitative seed supply was developed. Combined with its basic structure and working principle, the CFD-DEM coupling method was used for analysis, and the best combined hole parameters were obtained. A single factor experiment with the pass rate, replay rate, and missed rate as experimental indicators was designed. Regression model was established to obtain a reasonable range of each parameter. The results showed that when the speed of the drum barrel was 28.65r/min and the working negative pressure was 4.40kPa, the seeding pass rate of the seed meter was 91.32%, the replay rate was 4.51%, and the missed rate was 4.17%. The comprehensive performance index was better.

This paper introduces a kind of dust removal device-passive sprinkler dust car which is often used to improve the environment and to prevent dust underground. The function, working principle and basic structure of passive sprinkler dust car underground as well as how its main parts work are mainly described in this article. Moreover, the relationship between the spray parameters and the efficiency of reducing dust is studied by adopting the combination of experiment and theoretical analysis methods in order to obtain higher efficiency of reducing dust in this paper.

The on-line fault diagnostics technology for machines is fast emerging for the detection of incipient faults as to avoid the unexpected failure. On the basis of fault diagnosis theory and method, this paper presents a applications of techniques for fault detection and classification in rotating machinery based on fuzzy theory and neural network theory, the basic structure and working principle of the fault intelligent diagnosis system are introduced, the knowledge stored in the neuron-fuzzy system has been extracted by a fuzzy rule set with an acceptable degree of interpretability, the model of fuzzy fault diagnosis and the self-study principle are described. The practice proves that this is an effective method of large-scale and complicated electronic equipment, and it can also be applied to other fault diagnosis of complex systems and has certain portability.

The lube oil separator is widely used in lube oil system of merchant vessel. The lube oil separator functions to purify the lube oil to ensure its good working performance. The working condition of the oil separator will greatly influence the normal running of many plants. The lube oil separator used in our laboratory is Mitsubishi SJ700. In the processing of purifying, oil leakage from the water outlet is found. In order to find failure point, the basic structure and the working principle of the separator is introduced. The separator is dismantled according to the procedure. After cleaning some parts found dirty and replacing some sealing elements, the separator is reassembled. When starting the separating process again, the failure remains. Through further analyzing the structure and working principle of the separator, the trouble spot is found out. After removing the failure, the separator finally is repaired. To prevent similar accident occurring again, some suggestions are presented.

The formulation and experimental validation of a mathematical model of the nonlinear pitch-heave dynamics of an uncompartmented, segmented skirt cushion system for an air cushion vehicle are described. This system relies on surface contact to attain static stiffness in pitch and roll. The formulation includes a dynamic model of the lift air system, the effect of segment flexibility on effective cushion capacitance and on hovergap, and hysteretic skirt-surface contact forces. Predictions of linear stability and of nonlinear response to pitch disturbances are made for two skirt materials, the first generating considerable hysteresis in pitch stiffness, and the second having much greater extensibility but negligible hysteresis. These predictions are compared with experimental results obtained from a 900 kg test model. The basic structure of the system's stability characteristics are correctly predicted; this includes a nonlinear pitch-heave instability associated with coupling between pitch and heave motion, and with the modulation of the cushion volume by pitch motion. However, there remain unaccounted sources of cushion damping. This and other factors, such as sensitivity of the predicted results to the flexure of the panels that form the model air supply plenum, make close quantitative agreement between theory and experiment difficult to achieve.

The objective is to develop improved microvalve and micropump designs to simplify fabrication process, decrease manufacturing cost and increase efficiency. In this paper, a new prototype model of a micropump using piezoelectric (PZT) disc as the actuator is designed. This paper describes the structure and the working principle of new micropump using PZT disc as an actuator. The main basic structure includes a pump body with valveless structure and piezoelectric disc. The overall size of this prototype is the same as the diameter of a PZT disc about 4cm × 5cm. The working principle relies on the vibration of a membrane by applying a.c. voltage to the PZT actuator. The fabrication process is simplified, comparing with traditional manufacturing method and save time and cost. While fabrication and design are discussed herein, experimental results and pump performance will be reported separately. The developed micropump is able to produce a micro-flow rate suitable for medical applications such as drug delivery system.

In order to solve the oversize problem of continuously variable transmission, a rod gear pulse continuously variable transmission is designed. The kinematic mathematical models of key components are established by the matrix method and are simulated by MATLAB in a single phase, based on the analysis of basic structure and working principle of transmission. Also, the length requirements of each rod are studied, and the effect of three adjustment manners on the output-speed is simulated in the single phase. Furthermore, the simulations of the movement law of annular gear are achieved on two conditions of both different phases and different eccentricities on 8-phase. The results show that the manner of adjusting the eccentricity of eccentric wheel is the preferential selection of out-speed regulating method, and 8-phase is an optimal phase of transmission; meanwhile, for the rod gear pulse continuously variable transmission, the variable range of transmission ratio is wider and the pulsation rate is far less than the other traditional continuously variable transmissions.

The dynamic voltage restorer shows promise in providing a cost effective solution for the protection of sensitive loads from voltage sags. DVR as an important electrical installation has attracted many domestic and foreign researchers’ attention. The paper discusses the voltage compensation strategy in a DVR. At first the working principle and the basic structure of the DVR are described in detail, and then based on typical topology, the advanced theory analysis of DVR compensation strategy are put forward, and an overview of studies on the advanced compensation strategy is provided. Finally, the future research trends of the DVR compensation strategy are discussed.

The easy control hydraulic servo joint is a key element for a reconfigurable robot and its response and control accuracy determine the performance of the robot. With the stepping motor as the input element the main parts of joint includes a rotational valve with the double orifice and the single-vane actuator. The basic structure and the working principle of joint are introduced. The mathematic model is established and the dynamic responses are analysed by using the digit simulation. From the results of simulation, a phenomenon of rollback in the process of response of joint is observed. With the simulation, the relationships between the rollback and parameters of structure are discussed. A digit PID controller is employed to reduce the effect of rollback to a great extent.
