Interest in the history of science and its representatives is a characteristic feature of social and humanitarian knowledge. The contribution of scientists and artists is estimated, as a rule, from their works, both published and remaining in manuscript. At the same time, it is equally important to reveal the scientific and creative connections of a scientist, to form an idea about him as a person of his time, about the nature of relationships within the professional community of representatives of science and culture. A.E. Vaneev (1933-2001) - People's Poet of the Komi Republic, a researcher of the national identity of Komi poetry, of I.A. Kuratov’s creativity, translator of works of world classics into Komi language - made a tangible contribution to the development of national culture. The object of the research is the epistolary heritage of A.E. Vaneev, the subject is his professional interpersonal contacts. The article reveals a circle of scientists, poets, writers, translators who maintained regular communication with A.E. Vaneev, discussed scientific and creative plans, the practice of translation work, sought advice and assistance.

Introduction. The work is devoted to the study of the theatrical and dramatic work of O. Ulyashev. It reveals the originality of his dramatic handwriting and some aspects of the movement of national culture in the 1990s. Materials and Methods. The material of the study was the plays by O. Ulyashev. The method of study is comparative. Results and Discussion. O. Ulyashev’s plays are an important milestone in the history of the development of the Komi Theater. His plays, like many other ones of the turn of the XX–XXI centuries, are inherent in the desire for renewal. The artistic originality of his texts, however, determines the actualization of folklore material. The writer’s worldview is close to the high artistic, aesthetic and moral and philosophical potential of oral folk art. It is folklore origins that contribute to his creative quest and the development of his creative aspirations. O. Ulyashev’s works, like many other works of Komi literature of the late XX century about the historical past of the Zyryans, serve to increase and strengthen national identity. Conclusion. The work of the writer O. Ulyashev played an important role in the development of theatrical and dramatic art of the Komi Republic. His plays largely update the Komi drama, saturating it with folklore material, romanticizing the past of the Zyryans.

The paper reflects the specificity of the fundamental ideas of the artistic world of M. G. Atamanov, which includes a wide range of literary facts from the content level of the text of the works to their poetics. A particularly important role in the works of M. G. Atamanov is played by cross-cutting themes and images that reflect the author's individual style and his idea of national-ethnic identity. The subject of the research is the book of essays “Mon - Udmurt. Maly mynym vös’?” (“I am Udmurt. Why does it hurt?”), which most vividly reflected the main spiritual and artistic searches of M. G. Atamanov, associated with his ideas about the Udmurt people. The main motives and plots of the works included in the book under consideration are accumulated around the concept of “Udmurtness”. The comprehension of “Udmurtness” is modeled in his essays through specific leit themes: native language, Udmurt people, national culture, mentality, geographic and topographic features of the Udmurt people’ places of residence, the Orthodox idea. The “Udmurt theme” is recognized and comprehended by the writer through the prism of national identity.

The subject matter of the present article is the image of library and librarian in a forgotten short story by a Polish-Russian writer Józef Julian Sękowski (1800−1858). Sękowski is known in Polish literature as a multi-talented orientalist and polyglot, who changed his national identity in 1832 and began to write only in Russian. In the history of Russian literature he is famous for Library for Reading and Fantastic Voyages of Baron Brambeus, an ironic-grotesque work, which was precursory in Russian prose. Until 1832 Sękowski was, however, a Polish writer. His last significant work was An Audience with Lucypher published in a Polish magazine Bałamut Petersburski (Petersburgian Philanderer) in 1832 and immediately translated into Russian by Sękowski himself under the title Bolszoj wychod u Satany (1833). The library and librarian presented by the author in this piece are a caricature illustration proving his nihilistic worldview. Sękowski is a master of irony and grotesquery, yet the world he creates is deprived of freedom and justice and a book in this world is merely a threat to absolute power.

In this article, the author can only use the ever-present cinematography, the unmerciful nationalistic culture, the ideological orientation of the film industry, the uniqueness or national identity. It's a good idea to have a world-renowned artisan who is doing all the same, seeking internationalization and gloss? Another - cinematic and astrophysical art of Shaken Aimanov, whose works live in volumes or polls, and others. For many years, many changes have taken place in the national cinema, such as national culture, a national emblem of national culture. For the first time in the history of national cinema, national cinema and the world of cinema, the future and future films have been transformed into a lot of changes. The Concept of distinguished singer Shaken Aimanova is embodied in the volume, which, unlike the researchers and artists all over the world of cinema Shaken Aimnayev, the director of which, as long as he is a filmmaker, creates a film studio as part of national culture.

The subject of Muslim integration has been the focus of much policy development, media engagement, and everyday conversation in France. Because of the strong rhetoric about national identity—a national identity based on Republican ideals of universalism, equality, and French secularism (laïcité)—the question often becomes, “Can Muslims, as Muslims, integrate into French society and ‘be’ French?” In other contexts (e.g., the United States), religion may act as an aid in immigrants’ integration. In Europe, and France specifically, religion is viewed as an absolute hindrance to integration. Because of this, and thanks to a specific migration history of Muslims to France, the colonial grounding for the development of French nationality and secularism, and the French assimilationist model of integration, Muslims are often viewed as, at best, not able to integrate and, at worst, not willing to integrate into French society. The socioeconomic inequality between Muslim and non-Muslim French (as represented by life in the banlieues [suburbs]), the continued labeling of second- and third-generation North African Muslim youth as “immigrants,” the occurrence of terrorist attacks and radicalization on European soil, and the use of religious symbols (whether the head scarf or religious food practices) as symbols of intentional difference all add to the perception that Muslims are, and should be, the subject of integration efforts in France. While the discourse is often that Muslims have failed to integrate into French society through an acceptance and enactment of French values and policies, new research is suggesting that the “failed” integration of Muslims reveals a deeper failure of French Republican universalism, equality, and secularism.

The pages of the history of science record thousands of instances of similar discoveries having been made by scientists working independently of one another. Sometimes the discoveries are simultaneous or almost so; sometimes a scientist will make anew a discovery which, unknown to him, somebody else had made years before. Such occurrences suggest that discoveries become virtually inevitable when prerequisite kinds of knowledge and tools accumulate in man's cultural store and when the attention of an appreciable number of investigators becomes focussed on a problem, by emerging social needs, by developments internal to the science, or by both. Since at least 1917, when the anthropologist A. L. Kroeber published his influential paper dealing in part with the subject (I) and especially since 1922, when the sociologists William F. Ogburn and Dorothy S. Thomas compiled a list of some 150 cases of multiple independent discoveries and inventions (2), this hypothesis has become firmly established in sociological thought.

The subject of this paper will be the presentation of Montenegro in the travelogue Black Lamb and Grey Falcon by Rebecca West. This travelogue will be analysed from the literary-historical, literary-theoretical and imagological perspectives. We will deal with the chronotope of Montenegro (Kolashin, Podgorica, Cetinje and Budva) and the national identity of the Montenegrin people from the viewpoint of a travelogue narrator that does not belong to that nation, as well as the creation of trans- national identities. We will also pay attention to the construction of ethnic stereotypes and their (non)duration in time. The paper will also include a comparison of characters and events depicted in the travelogue with historical figures and the events on which they are modelled. “The key assumption of the literary-historical approach to the travelogue discourse is finding its typical places, shaping specific rhetoric of the travelogue based on a few backings from the narratology to the history of mentality.” (Duda 1998, 92) The presentation of Montenegro in the travelogue Black Lamb and Grey Falcon will be based on Duda’s assumptions and Bakhtin’s perception of chronotope as “the essential interconnection of time and space relations” (Bakhtin 1989, 193). We will also take into account the views of Gerard Genette and Mieke Bal.

Movidos pelo interesse em propor um programa de análise que seja potencialmente replicável para os casos em que se busca uma “identidade linguística” das escolas de pensamento, desenhamos um protótipo sistemático e o aplicamos em um ensaio genérico – compreendendo três matizes. Este experimento investigativo constituiu o escopo de um projeto de Iniciação Científica; e, dada a temática envolvida, se enquadra no âmbito dos estudos de Epistemologia e História da Ciência (tendo, obviamente, o “caso Geografia” como alvo da análise). Neste artigo, narramos os procedimentos executados e avaliamos a virtual fecundidade do programa para ensaios análogos.AbstractMoved by the interest in offering an analysis program potentially replicable for the cases in which it seeks a linguistic identity of schools of thought, we designed a systematic prototype and applied in a generic test – comprising three “hues”. This investigative experiment was the purpose of a Scientific Initiation project; and, given the subject involved, falls within the scope of the studies of Epistemology and History of Science (“Geography case” as target of the analysis, of course).
