Organizational performance (OP) is important for the company, employment and the country. Previous studies deployed secondary data approach in developed countries while few studies examined the OP using primary data approach. Using the theories of resource based view, knowledge based view, this study aims to examine the effect of organizational culture (OC), organizational structure (OS), and technology infrastructure (TI) on OP of companies in Saudi Arabia. In addition, the study aims to examine the mediating role of knowledge sharing (KS). Using a purposive sampling, the data was collected from managerial level employees in Saudi. The results of Smart Partial Least Square showed that the OC is the most important variable followed by OS and TI. KS mediated the effect of OC and TI on OP. Companies in Saudi Arabia should establish a KS culture and enhance their TI to achieve competitive advantage and better OP.

Micro enterprises formed the majority of business establishments in Malaysia and play an important role in the business ecosystem. There are numerous studies of intellectual capital on large organizations and small and medium enterprises, however no study has been carried out on micro enterprises. The findings of the partial-least square analysis of one hundred and six micro enterprises found that intellectual capital has a significant relationship to organizational performance. In addition, the relationship between intellectual capital and organizational performance was significantly influenced by tacit knowledge sharing. In particular, tacit knowledge sharing proves to be extremely relevant when it comes to reinforcing the intellectual capital on the performance of micro enterprises in Malaysia. Limitations and implications for future studies are discussed.

Abstract Background Women-empowerment is still a problematic area in most of the developing countries including Pakistan. The women contribution is limited and not well acknowledged in various developing countries. As the women contribution in Pakistani economy is only 25-30% which is quite low as compared to most of the developing as well as developed countries. Various studies addressed the women-empowerment; however, literature is missing to consider the role of various vulnerability factors such as health, environment, economic/social and political. Microfinance institutes are working; however, the result is limited. It is due to the various vulnerability factors which effect negatively on women empowerment and decreases the positive role of microfinance institutes. Therefore, the prime objective of this study is to examine the role of vulnerability factors and microfinance institutes in women-empowerment.Methods Cross-sectional research design was selected, and survey was carried out to collect the data from female clients of microfinance institutes. Primary data were analyzed by using Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM).Results Findings of the study revealed that vulnerability factors such as women health, environment, economic/social conditions and political conditions decrease women-empowerment. However, microfinance institutes are most significant to enhance women-empowerment. Services of microfinance institutes such as micro-credit, micro-saving and micro-insurance has significant positive relationship with women-empowerment.Conclusion Various vulnerability factors such as women health vulnerability, environment vulnerability, economic/social vulnerability and political vulnerability should be managed to increase women-empowerment. Microfinance institutes is one of the solutions to handle these vulnerabilities through various services. Therefore, the current study is significant for microfinance institutes, state bank of Pakistan and government of Pakistan while making the strategies to enhance women-empowerment.

This paper examines factors that influence the depth-usage of social media as a business platform among student entrepreneurs by focusing analysis on the mediating effect of social media adoption. The study uses The Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) Model which identifies factors that can influence individuals’ behavioral patterns to accept and to use technology as the main theoretical/conceptual foundation. The study is a quantitative study which operates relational analysis between variables. A survey through the questionnaire with 142 student entrepreneurs in three state owned universities in Padang, Indonesia was undertaken to collect primary data and information. The result was further analyzed by using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) Partial Least Square (PLS) and causal step analysis in order to investigate the relationship between each variable and the mediating effect of social media adoption on factors that influence the depth-usage of social media as the business platform used by students entrepreneurs. The study found that performance expectation, perceived trust and social influence as the major factors that influence the adoption of social media usage as the business platform by student entrepreneurs. Meanwhile, perceived risks does not bring positive and significant influence. However, the mediating effect of the adoption of social media usage is only found in the performance expectancy when it influences the depth-usage of social media as the business platform by the student entrepreneurs.

<p><em>Human capital plays an important role in explaining organizational performance and survival, not only for well-established firms but also for digital startup companies. However no previous human resource literature, especially on employers’ brand, investigates the internship program in the startup digital firms. Our pre-test shows that students are less attracted to apply to startup digital companies. Consequently, this study aims to test students’ intention to be on an internship in startup digital companies with its several antecedents (organizational attractiveness, job meaning, organizational attributes, and institutional image). My purposive sampling generates 101 business and management students in Jakarta as my sample. I run Partial Least Square (PLS) to test my hypothesis. The results indicate that organizational attributes do not affect intention to be on an internship and other hypothesis tests exhibit positive results. Further, the findings also show that organizational attributes do not exhibit mediating effect. Overall, the results suggest that digital startup companies cooperate and collaborate with universities, especially business and management departments in research and student projects in order to attract the best students to be on internship on these companies that eventually will improve their performance.</em></p><p><em><br /></em>Abstrak</p><p>Sumber Daya Manusia memegang peran penting dalam ketahanan dan peningkatan kinerja perusahaan baik berskala besar ataupun berskala startup digital.
