PurposeThis paper aims to analyze the moderating effect of technological turbulence caused by artificial intelligence on the relationship between the traditional knowledge management strategies of personalization (tacit knowledge) and codification (explicit knowledge), and organizational improvisation, which refers to the firm's ability to generate ideas and respond to changes in the technological environment in real time. Until now, individuals have played a key and indispensable role in organizational improvisation since they are the owners of tacit knowledge and users of explicit knowledge.Design/methodology/approachThe research model was tested in a sample of firms from sectors in which the adoption of intelligent robots is growing.FindingsBoth personalization and codification have a positive and significant influence on improvisation, the former to a greater extent. Nevertheless, when technological turbulence caused by artificial intelligence occurs, the relationship between personalization and improvisation is weakened, whereas the link between codification and improvisation is strengthened.Originality/valueContrary to the pre-digital literature consensus, explicit knowledge is becoming the new major driver of organizational improvisation, while tacit knowledge sharing is losing strength and relevance. This finding may be a first indication that intelligent robots are the new exponents of improvisation for their ability to respond to changes in the environment in real time because of a combination of explicit knowledge, beyond being a mere support tool for humans.

Abstract Experimental archaeology is often understood both as testing hypotheses about processes shaping the archaeological record and as generating tacit knowledge. Considering lithic technologies, I examine the relationship between these conceptions. Experimental archaeology is usefully understood via ‘maker’s knowledge’: archaeological experiments generate embodied know-how enabling archaeological hypotheses to be grasped and challenged, further well-positioning archaeologists to generate integrated interpretations. Finally, experimental archaeology involves ‘material speculation’: the constraints and affordances of archaeologists and their materials shape productive exploration of the capacities of objects and human skill in ways relevant to archaeological questions.

In this paper, a high-level semantic recognition model is used to parse the video content of human sports under engineering management, and the stream shape of the previous layer is embedded in the convolutional operation of the next layer, so that each layer of the convolutional neural network can effectively maintain the stream structure of the previous layer, thus obtaining a video image feature representation that can reflect the image nearest neighbor relationship and association features. The method is applied to image classification, and the experimental results show that the method can extract image features more effectively, thus improving the accuracy of feature classification. Since fine-grained actions usually share a very high similarity in phenotypes and motion patterns, with only minor differences in local regions, inspired by the human visual system, this paper proposes integrating visual attention mechanisms into the fine-grained action feature extraction process to extract features for cues. Taking the problem as the guide, we formulate the athlete’s tacit knowledge management strategy and select the distinctive freestyle aerial skills national team as the object of empirical analysis, compose a more scientific and organization-specific tacit knowledge management program, exert influence on the members in the implementation, and revise to form a tacit knowledge management implementation program with certain promotion value. Group behavior can be identified by analyzing the behavior of individuals and the interaction information between individuals. Individual interactions in a group can be represented by individual representations, and the relationship between individual behaviors can be analyzed by modeling the relationship between individual representations. The performance improvement of the method on mismatched datasets is comparable between the long-short time network based on temporal information and the language recognition method with high-level semantic embedding vectors, with the two methods improving about 12.6% and 23.0%, respectively, compared with the method using the original model and with the i-vector baseline system based on the support vector machine classification method with radial basis functions, with performance improvements about 10.10% and 10.88%, respectively.

This paper addresses the theory of knowledge in relativistic terms of Paul Feyerabend, stressing the importance of personal involvement in the research and theorizing. Since the topic is a constant and widely accepted premise the author is insisting that it has been actually ignored in the sociology and philosophy of science. It is apparent in discursive form, neglected in actual consequences for science in general. Defending the thesis of relativism had remained unacknowledged by the general scientific community. Biographies of mavericks and their struggle and exclusion from scientific community etc. had been constant in the history of science. Is science nowadays able to accept criticism and implement arguments of knowledge beyond the institutionalized standards? Throughout this article we argue that personal involvement creates biased scientific facts; acknowledging and applying tacit knowledge we move beyond personal involvement and create appropriate interpretations of facts and phenomena under investigation, where we reconsider the construction of facts and personal beliefs, knowing that our fields of expertise are incommensurable.

Penelitian ini menjelaskan tentang kajian terhadap gerakan kebangkitan epistimologi (epistimological movement) tacit knowledge Michael Polanyi. Metode yang digunakan dalam kajian ini menggunakan metode atau pendekatan kepustakaan (library research), Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Filsafat sangat penting bagi kehidupan manusia karena dapat memecahkan berbagai persoalan kehidupan. Akibat pesatnya perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan telah banyak melahirkan paham baru. Kehadiran paham baru sebagai kritik bagi paham sebelumnya. Kritik Polanyi terhadap paham Positivisme karena paham tersebut terlalu melihat ilmu pengetahuan dari asplek objektivitasnya semata. Kritiknya mengahsilkan sebuah karyanya yang berjudul “Segi Tak Terungkap Ilmu Pengetahuan”. Relevansi pemikiran Polanyi pada lembaga pendidikan melalui kebijakan internal dalam upaya peningkatan mutu sekolah. Sekolah perlu memberikan otonomi serta keleluasaan pada wali kelas untuk mengatur kelas secara inovatif serta kreatif agar terciptanya kelas yang produktif dan nyaman sehingga peserta didik mampu mengembangkan dan memunculkan potensinya yang masih tersembunyi. Berikut beberapa upaya yang dapat dilakukan oleh wali kelas dalam manajemen kelasnya, diantaranya: Pertama, Pertemuan rutin Wali Kelas dan Orang Tua Peserta Didik. Kedua, Penataan Kelas Bersama. Ketiga, Membangun Kehangatan Kelas. Kempat, Melakukan Quality Time Bersama. Kelima, Layanan Konseling Wali Kelas. Terakhir, Koordinasi dengan Berbagai Pihak.

Edward Slingerland articulates in Effortless action: wu-wei asconceptual metaphor and spiritual ideal in early China, “wu-wei, in the absence ofdoing exertion, literally means ‘in the absence of/without doing exertion,’ Itis important to realise, however, that wu-wei properly refers not to what isactually happening (or not happening) in the realm of observable action butrather to the state of mind of the actor. That is, it refers not to what is oris not being done but to the phenomenological state of the doer.” (Slingerland2003: 7)Seeminglyeffortless, wu-wei can be understood as a dynamic, un-self-conscious state ofmind of an agency that is optimally active and effective. This effortless flowaccurately resonates with what I have experienced throughout my journey in IAM (VR), created by Susanne Kennedy, Markus Selg, Rodrik Biersteker andRichard Janssen in 2021. During this experience, the vivid bewilderment of‘being here but not here’ reflects an uncanny sublimation of the body incyberspace. As my vision travels deeply inside, my physical body, “in theabsence of doing exertion”, remains situated in an enclosed cubic space in thegallery where the journey takes place. Such attentiveness of consciousnesstraveling through the virtual reality within the stillness of one’s body evokesa pertinent embodiment of Wu-Wei. Positioned itself in the stance ofcritical posthumanism, this essay asks how do we consider the physical form of the human body,assembled in reality-reality within the immersive sharing and exchangingprocess of virtual-reality? What kind of transformation that the human bodymight experience when it immerses into that otherworldly reality? I Am (VR),as an embodied performative happening of both artistic research andpractice of virtual reality, provides insightful perspective in searching forpossible answers. The concept of knowledge is divided into explicit and tacit knowledge; explicit knowledge refers to the knowledge that can be articulated, written and stored, while tacit knowledge refers to personal experiences, values, beliefs and emotions of an individual. By Nonaka's theory, explicit and tacit knowledge do not lie separately but interact together by interactions and relationships between human beings. Thus, the SECI model is based on the assumption that knowledge is created through the social interaction of tacit and explicit knowledge; known as knowledge conversion. The SECI model is based upon four modes of knowledge conversion; socialization, externalization, combination and internalization. 'Ba' is considered to be a shared platform for knowledge creation. 'Ba' is a shared space, be it physical, mental or a combination of both that serves as a foundation of knowledge creation. Ba involves sharing of tacit knowledge i.e. emotions, feelings, experiences and mental images. It also involves the formation of a collective relationship which is open to the sharing of practices, values, processes and culture. This concept focuses mainly on the individual as a person who holds the knowledge rather than just on the knowledge itself. It aims to create a common space to bring people together where they can dialogue to share and create knowledge. As in the relationships formed in person-centered practices, relationships formed in Ba are based on not just the sharing of objective knowledge but also on sharing values, beliefs, and emotions. It also reflects the formation of a person-centered environment as a basis for person-centered research where healthful relationships with the participants are formed. Furthermore, Ba will aid in creating a sense of connectiveness and dialogue, thus focusing on the idea that the development of new practices is done with others rather than to others. In this article we will discuss how these Eastern concepts can be adapted and used to develop person-centered practices within child and adolescent mental health services, specifically related to rehabilitation and recovery. The concepts of personhood will be discussed, followed by a reflection on current practices adopted when working with children and adolescents.

Many factors determine the success of software development projects. The exchange and harnessing of specialized knowledge amongst and between the project team members is one of these. To explore this situation, an ethnographic case study of the product-testing phase of a new human resources management system was undertaken. Extempore verbal exchanges occur through the interplay of project team members in weekly meetings, as the software was tested, analyzed, and altered in accordance with the customer's needs. Utilizing tacit knowledge from the project members as well as the group, new tacit knowledge surfaces and spirals, which allows it to build over time. Five extempore triggers surfaced during the research generated through explicit stimuli, allowing project members to share and create new knowledge. The theoretical development places these learning triggers in an interpretive framework, which could add value to other software development and project management contexts.
