Security has become a very vital role in present modern world. We need security for various applications and for our data. In particular security in home application is very crucial. So to serve this purpose in an efficient and easy manner we developed an intrusion system where in HOG (Histogram of Oriented Gradients) algorithm is used to detect person and an API to give alerts for intrusion. HOG is the Machine Learning (ML) algorithm used particularly for the person detection. The API used here is TWILIO which is the most suitable API for sending messages within seconds and accurately. Since every system is becoming automated we focused more on implementing the HOG and making the system to learn by itself and perform accurate results. In this paper we explained how HOG algorithm is implemented to detect the person entering the house and send the alerts as the person is detected. The accuracy of the model along with further developments that can be possible is given in detail.

Recently, due to the rapid development and remarkable result of deep learning (DL) and machine learning (ML) approaches in various domains for several long-standing artificial intelligence (AI) tasks, there has an extreme interest in applying toward network security too. Nowadays, in the information communication technology (ICT) era, the intrusion detection (ID) system has the great potential to be the frontier of security against cyberattacks and plays a vital role in achieving network infrastructure and resources. Conventional ID systems are not strong enough to detect advanced malicious threats. Heterogeneity is one of the important features of big data. Thus, designing an efficient ID system using a heterogeneous dataset is a massive research problem. There are several ID datasets openly existing for more research by the cybersecurity researcher community. However, no existing research has shown a detailed performance evaluation of several ML methods on various publicly available ID datasets. Due to the dynamic nature of malicious attacks with continuously changing attack detection methods, ID datasets are available publicly and are updated systematically. In this research, spark MLlib (machine learning library)-based robust classical ML classifiers for anomaly detection and state of the art DL, such as the convolutional-auto encoder (Conv-AE) for misuse attack, is used to develop an efficient and intelligent ID system to detect and classify unpredictable malicious attacks. To measure the effectiveness of our proposed ID system, we have used several important performance metrics, such as FAR, DR, and accuracy, while experiments are conducted on the publicly existing dataset, specifically the contemporary heterogeneous CSE-CIC-IDS2018 dataset.

Due to the enormous usage of the Internet, users share resources and exchange voluminous amounts of data. This increases the high risk of data theft and other types of attacks. Network security plays a vital role in protecting the electronic exchange of data and attempts to avoid disruption concerning finances or disrupted services due to the unknown proliferations in the network. Many Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) are commonly used to detect such unknown attacks and unauthorized access in a network. Many approaches have been put forward by the researchers which showed satisfactory results in intrusion detection systems significantly which ranged from various traditional approaches to Artificial Intelligence (AI) based approaches.AI based techniques have gained an edge over other statistical techniques in the research community due to its enormous benefits. Procedures can be designed to display behavior learned from previous experiences. Machine learning algorithms are used to analyze the abnormal instances in a particular network. Supervised learning is essential in terms of training and analyzing the abnormal behavior in a network. In this paper, we propose a model of Naïve Bayes and SVM (Support Vector Machine) to detect anomalies and an ensemble approach to solve the weaknesses and to remove the poor detection results

Intrusion Detection System (IDS) plays a vital role in detecting anomalies and cyber-attacks in networked systems. However, sophisticated attackers can manipulate the IDS’ attacks samples to evade possible detection. In this paper, we present a network-based IDS and investigate the viability of generating interpretable evasion attacks against the IDS through the application of a machine learning technique and an evolutionary algorithm. We employ a genetic algorithm to generate optimal attack features for certain attack categories, which are evaluated against a decision tree-based IDS in terms of their fitness measurements. To demonstrate the feasibility of our approach, we perform experiments based on the NSL-KDD dataset and analyze the algorithm performance.

To maintain the integrity and protection of networks, intrusion detection systems play a vital role. Growth of wireless networks turned the globe to perform all pecuniary tasks online resulting a lot of security breaches in the network. One of the common breaches happening in network is the intruders who eventually tries to bypass the adopted security framework. Every day new intrusions arises and new solutions as well, however the research in making the intrusion detection system intelligent holds energetic. Today most of the systems are becoming intelligent by adopting machine learning and artificial intelligence algorithms. Success of building an efficient machine learning model to make intelligent intrusion detection system is relied on the effective features considered for classification and prediction. Thus, feature reduction is an integral part for discarding irrelevant and redundant features to produce a computationally decisive system that can identify defects with high accuracy. This implementation is an attempt to identify the smaller feature set possible for the well adopted wireless intrusion detection dataset AWID. Here, we proposed a LASSO based implementation to produce a smaller decisive set of features. Incorporation of Lasso on feature reduction not only provides a smaller set of features, but also allow to adopt prediction algorithms inside Lasso resulting lesser number of false alarms as well

Cloud computing is characterized as the arrangement of assets or administrations accessible through the web to the clients on their request by cloud providers. It communicates everything as administrations over the web in view of the client request, for example operating system, organize equipment, storage, assets, and software. Nowadays, Intrusion Detection System (IDS) plays a powerful system, which deals with the influence of experts to get actions when the system is hacked under some intrusions. Most intrusion detection frameworks are created in light of machine learning strategies. Since the datasets, this utilized as a part of intrusion detection is Knowledge Discovery in Database (KDD). In this paper detect or classify the intruded data utilizing Machine Learning (ML) with the MapReduce model. The primary face considers Hadoop MapReduce model to reduce the extent of database ideal weight decided for reducer model and second stage utilizing Decision Tree (DT) classifier to detect the data. This DT classifier comprises utilizing an appropriate classifier to decide the class labels for the non-homogeneous leaf nodes. The decision tree fragment gives a coarse section profile while the leaf level classifier can give data about the qualities that influence the label inside a portion. From the proposed result accuracy for detection is 96.21% contrasted with existing classifiers, for example, Neural Network (NN), Naive Bayes (NB) and K Nearest Neighbor (KNN).
