The aim of the present study is to find the relative importance of related challenges of implementing artificial intelligence (AI) in governance within the context of India. Eight sub-dimensions of challenges categorized under three main dimensions are considered for prioritization. The analytic hierarchy process (AHP) methodology is employed to prioritize the challenges. The primary data pertaining to pair-wise comparisons of various factors and sub-factors has been obtained from 170 government officials by using convenience sampling. The results indicate that concerns related to data security, acquisition and storage are the major challenges in implementing AI assisted governance. Additionally, ethical considerations related to unethical use of data and lack of trust are other challenges which may act as barriers in diffusing AI in governance.

This paper reviews and identifies the criteria used in the teacher-candidate selection process. The identified main criteria and sub-criteria were prioritized according to their importance by a group of experts. The literature was the source of the criteria and twelve experts who have experience in teacher-selection process were asked to justify the criteria obtained from the secondary source. Furthermore, these experts evaluated the relative importance of the identified criteria in a pair-wise manner. Their judgments were analysed by a multi-criteria method, known as the Analytic Hierarchy Process.   Three main criteria were identified which consisted of ‘content of knowledge’, ‘communication skills’ and ‘personality’, while each of these three main criteria had four, six and eight sub-criteria respectively. The degree of importance which is known as weights of these criteria were also calculated where those criteria which receive higher values are considered to be more important. Generally, the results of the analysis show that ‘communication skills’ and ‘personality’ are the most and second-most important criteria respectively, followed by ‘content of knowledge’ in the third position. The analysis of the importance of the sub-criteria of these three main criteria is also included.   These criteria and the weights can be used later in the development of the teacher-selection model. Both secondary data and primary data were used in this research. All the experts or the respondents have experience in the selection process where 40% of them have more than six years’ experience.   Keywords: Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), importance, multi-criteria, selection, teacher, weights.

The indices system for the evaluation of green degree of concrete is established based on the function, durability and environmental protection of green concrete with involving both quantitative and qualitative analyses. Primary data is processed according to the green relation theory and in the meantime, analytic hierarchy process (AHP) is adopted to achieve the weight of indices, and in this way, the levels of the evaluation is fully expressed. The calculation of the correlation coefficient of each level leads to the concrete with the highest green degree, through which the evaluation of the green degree of concrete is received. And the example in this paper also proves the feasibility of the method above.

Abstract The introduction of mobile number portability (MNP) in the Nigerian telecommunications industry has brought a new challenge for mobile operators. This study investigates the use of Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) in customer retention decisions in the Nigerian telecommunication industry using a cross-sectional survey design. Primary data were obtained through questionnaires administered to 480 mobile telecommunications subscribers in six tertiary institutions located in Lagos State, Nigeria. These educational institutions were chosen using a multistage sampling technique. Of 438 questionnaires received from subscribers, 408 were valid. Based on this sample data an AHP model was built to assess the determinants of customer retention decisions. Next, eigen values, an eigen vector and maximum lambda (λMax) were obtained using the AHP analysis for the matrices. This analysis shows that customers considered call quality as the important in the retention decision. We conclude that AHP is a meaningful tool for determining what motivates retention decisions, that can help network operators formulate effective customer retention strategies.

Ideological and political education plays an important role in supporting social talent input. However, the current evaluation effect of ideological and political education is difficult to quantify. Therefore, in order to improve the evaluation effect of ideological and political education, based on artificial intelligence algorithms, this study combines machine learning ideas and the current status of ideological and political education to build a fuzzy analytic hierarchy process model of the of ideological and political teaching quality based on machine learning and artificial intelligence. Moreover, this study uses a three-tier structure to build a model network structure, and based on the characteristics of fuzzy evaluation, this study uses the expert system to conduct data management, operation and control of model evaluation, and build a corresponding database to update the data in real time. In addition, in order to verify the effect of the model, this study sets simulation experiments to analyze the model performance. From the point of view of running effect and running speed, this research model meets the actual needs of the system, so it can be applied to the evaluation process of ideological and political teaching quality in colleges and universities.
