It now appears that quantum computers are poised to enter the world of computing and establish its dominance, especially, in the cloud. Turing machines (classical computers) tied to the laws of classical physics will not vanish from our lives but begin to play a subordinate role to quantum computers tied to the enigmatic laws of quantum physics that deal with such non-intuitive phenomena as superposition, entanglement, collapse of the wave function, and teleportation, all occurring in Hilbert space. The aim of this 3-part paper is to introduce the readers to a core set of quantum algorithms based on the postulates of quantum mechanics, and reveal the amazing power of quantum computing.

The ultimate goal of quantum calculation is to build high performance practical quantum computers. With quantum mechanics model of computer information coding and computational principle, it is proved in theory to be able to simulate the classical computer is currently completely, and with more classical computer, quantum computation is one of the most popular fields in physics research in recent ten years, has formed a set of quantum physics, mathematics. This paper to electronic spin doped fullerene quantum aided calculation scheme, we through the comprehensive use of logic based network and based on the overall control of the two kinds of quantum computing model, solve the addressing problem of nuclear spin, avoids the technical difficulties of pre-existing. We expect the final realization of the quantum computer will depend on the integrated use of in a variety of quantum computing model and physical realization system, and our primary work shows this feature..

The Lattice Boltzmann concepts and applications described so far refer to classical, i.e., non-quantum physics. However, the LB formalism is not restricted to classical Newtonian mechanics and indeed an LB formulation of quantum mechanics, going by the name of quantum LB (QLB) has been in existence for more than two decades. Even though it would far-fetched to say that QLB represents a mainstream, in the recent years it has captured some revived interest, mostly on account of recent developments in quantum-computing research. This chapter provides an account of the QLB formulation: stay tuned, LBE goes quantum!

Noisy Intermediate-Scale Quantum (NISQ) technology will be available in the near future. Quantum computers with 50-100 qubits may be able to perform tasks which surpass the capabilities of today's classical digital computers, but noise in quantum gates will limit the size of quantum circuits that can be executed reliably. NISQ devices will be useful tools for exploring many-body quantum physics, and may have other useful applications, but the 100-qubit quantum computer will not change the world right away - we should regard it as a significant step toward the more powerful quantum technologies of the future. Quantum technologists should continue to strive for more accurate quantum gates and, eventually, fully fault-tolerant quantum computing.

Quantum Computing is relatively new and it's kind of a special type of computing that uses the laws of quantum physics. In classical computing, we have some limitations and we can overcome those with the help of Quantum Computing as it uses qubits, but we need to keep those qubits at low temperature. Quantum Computing uses the probabilistic nature of electrons. The power of a quantum computer increases exponentially with the number of qubits linked tougher. Quantum computers are very difficult to make but there are a huge number of calculations that can be done easily with the use of a quantum computer. Quantum computers are way better and faster than classical computers. So, we can say that quantum computers rather than quantum computing will be used in the near future to replace classical computing.

Quantum computing relies on quantum physics.  It takes advantage of the inherent ability of subatomic particles to exist in more than one state at any time. Increased interest from both private and public sectors has solidified this technology as a major advancement in the 21st century.  Every year quantum computing comes up as a candidate for the Breakthrough Technologies list, but quantum computers merely exist on paper.  This paper provides a brief introduction on quantum computing to young researchers and newcomers in the emerging field.

The world is currently going through a disastrous event and a catastrophic upheaval caused by the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). The pandemic has resulted in loss of more than 150000 deaths across the globe. Originating from China and spreading across all continents within a short span of time, it has become a matter of international emergency. Different agencies are adopting diverse approaches to stop and spread of this viral disease but still now nothing confirmatory has come up. Due to lack of vaccines and proper therapeutic drugs, the disease is still spreading like wild fire without control. An Old but very promising method- the convalescent plasma therapy could be the key therapy to stop this pandemic. This method has already proven its mettle on several occasions previously and has been found to be effective in curing the pandemics induced by Ebola, severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus (SARS-CoV) and Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus (MERS-CoV). The severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) belongs to the same group of β-Coronavirus that has resulted in the above diseases. Therefore, the role of plasma therapy is being explored for treatment of this disease. In this review, we have mainly focused on the role of convalescent plasma therapy and why its use should be promoted in fight against COVID-19, as it could turn out to be a game changer.

‘Look, my lord! See heaven itself declares against your impious intentions’ The Castle of Otranto (1764) is the first supernatural English novel and one of the most influential works of Gothic fiction. It inaugurated a literary genre that will be forever associated with the effects that Walpole pioneered. Professing to be a translation of a mysterious Italian tale from the darkest Middle Ages, the novel tells of Manfred, prince of Otranto, whose fear of an ancient prophecy sets him on a course of destruction. After the grotesque death of his only son, Conrad, on his wedding day, Manfred determines to marry the bride–to–be. The virgin Isabella flees through a castle riddled with secret passages. Chilling coincidences, ghostly visitations, arcane revelations, and violent combat combine in a heady mix that terrified the novel's first readers. In this new edition Nick Groom examines the reasons for its extraordinary impact and the Gothic culture from which it sprang. The Castle of Otranto was a game-changer, and Walpole the writer who paved the way for modern horror exponents.

AbstractQuantum algorithms can greatly speed up computation in solving some classical problems, while the computational power of quantum computers should also be restricted by laws of physics. Due to quantum time-energy uncertainty relation, there is a lower limit of the evolution time for a given quantum operation, and therefore the time complexity must be considered when the number of serial quantum operations is particularly large. When the key length is about at the level of KB (encryption and decryption can be completed in a few minutes by using standard programs), it will take at least 50-100 years for NTC (Neighbor-only, Two-qubit gate, Concurrent) architecture ion-trap quantum computers to execute Shor’s algorithm. For NTC architecture superconducting quantum computers with a code distance 27 for error-correcting, when the key length increased to 16 KB, the cracking time will also increase to 100 years that far exceeds the coherence time. This shows the robustness of the updated RSA against practical quantum computing attacks.

Quantum computing is considered the “next big thing” when it comes to solving computational problems impossible to tackle using conventional computers. However, a major concern is that quantum computers could be used to crack current cryptographic schemes designed to withstand traditional cyberattacks. This threat also impacts future automated vehicles as they become embedded in a vehicle-to-everything (V2X) ecosystem. In this scenario, encrypted data is transmitted between a complex network of cloud-based data servers, vehicle-based data servers, and vehicle sensors and controllers. While the vehicle hardware ages, the software enabling V2X interactions will be updated multiple times. It is essential to make the V2X ecosystem quantum-safe through use of “post-quantum cryptography” as well other applicable quantum technologies. This SAE EDGE™ Research Report considers the following three areas to be unsettled questions in the V2X ecosystem: How soon will quantum computing pose a threat to connected and automated vehicle technologies? What steps and measures are needed to make a V2X ecosystem “quantum-safe?” What standardization is needed to ensure that quantum technologies do not pose an unacceptable risk from an automotive cybersecurity perspective?
