The purpose of this research paper is to determine the influence of factors on intention to use E-Wallet, Bangkok, Thailand. The five factors which are selected for the study are perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, security/privacy confidence, social influence and trustworthiness. In this study, the research is based on data collected through electronic questionnaires which were filled by 384 respondents who belong to service class of Bangkok, Thailand. The data were collected by using judgement quota and convenience sampling of nonprobability sampling method. The data so collected was analyzed by using Pearson Product Moment Coefficient Correlation (Bivariate) in order to find out the level of significance and relationship between independent and dependent variables. The result of analysis revealed that all the independent variables have a significant relationship with intention to use E-Wallet, with one of the variables, namely trustworthiness showing a strong relationship with intention to use E-Wallet whereas social influence showing lowest impact on intention to use E-Wallet. The results and findings of the study throw light on factors that the companies can emphasize and work upon to design their product related as well as marketing related strategies. The companies will be in a better position to attract new and existing customers towards E-Wallet usage. The use of E-Wallet is becoming popular not only in developed economies, but also in developing economies owing to the ease, safety and fast completion of day to day financial activities of the users. Moreover, the digitalization of monetary transactions throughout the world is a major factor which necessitates the use of EWallets by the users, thereby increasing the number of such users in the days to come

With the rapid growth of information technology, electronic money has played an important and central role in the e-payment. Development of electronic money is able to create a trend less-cash society, which is a society’s behavior using non- cash transactions by utilizing the simplicity offered through electronic transactions. The purpose of this research is to determine the factors affecting the intention to use electronic money. We designed a questionnaire and used it to survey a simple random sampling of people who use of e-money in DKI Jakarta. The actual samples used for the study are 125 respondents. We analyzed the data using Structured Equation Modeling to evaluate the strength of the hypothesized effects. The result of the analysis showed that perceived ease of use has no significant effect on attitudes towards the use of e-money. Perceived ease of use has a significant effect on the perceived usefulness of e-money. Perceived usefulness has no significant effect on the intention to use e-money. Perceived usefulness has a significant effect on attitudes towards the use of e-money. Attitude has a significant effect on the intention to use e-money. Subjective norm has a significant effect on the intention to use e-money. Perceived behavioral control has no significant effect on the intention to use e-money. PurposeThe study builds on studies in online shopping. Existing studies in online shopping proved that it is an attraction to shoppers. In Nigeria's emerging economy the increasing Internet penetration does not equate with intention to use online shopping because it is not really used by users for online shopping. Consumers are considering it unattractive because of serious concerns that border on product quality of online shops and poor know-how on e-tech. The study sought to explore factors that could mitigate challenges to successful online shopping in Nigeria's emerging economy.Design/methodology/approachOnline survey method was used to sample 246 respondents. Measurement items were adapted from related literature. Confirmatory factor analysis and content validity were used to check the reliability and validity. A set of fit indices were used to check the goodness of fit. Data was analysed using structural equation model.FindingsResults indicate direct effects of consumer attitude, perceived usefulness and social influence on intention to use online shopping with consumer attitude shown to have a greater degree of importance towards intention to use online shopping. Thus, consumers' attitude of browsing online and going offline for purchases is dependent on attitude of like or dislike. Perceived ease of use, social influence and perceived usefulness had an indirect positive effect on consumer attitude to intention to use online shopping. Social influence is indicated to have a direct positive effect on perceived ease of use. Also perceived ease of use had a positive and direct effect on perceived usefulness.Research limitations/implicationsThe sample size is not large enough and the use of snowball sampling limits representativeness.Practical implicationsThe study indicated vital factors African emerging economies like Nigeria can use to improve consumer confidence towards intention to use online shopping and drive cashless policies. Several studies have missed the indirect effect of referents (social influence) on adoption of technology. The study proved that it can produce indirect effect as well as direct effect on intention to use online shopping.Originality/valueSeveral studies have missed the indirect effect of referents (social influence) on adoption of technology. The study proved that it can produce indirect effect as well as direct effect on online shopping.

Purpose Global digital payment transactions increase continuously. Due to the inconsistencies that occurred across the research findings, past researchers have called for further investigation to verify and empirically test the mobile payment acceptance model. The purpose of this paper is to develop an integrative model that is derived from the multiple technology acceptance models (TAM)’s a theoretical framework and past literature to understand how consumers decided to adopt mobile payment. By simultaneously testing mechanisms, namely, ease of use, usefulness and risk, the current study will be able to advance scholarly knowledge of the underlying consumer’s attitude and behavior that link social influence to intention to use. Design/methodology/approach A total of 370 valid responses were collected using self-administered questionnaires distributed via online platforms, a representative for Thai consumers. An ordinary least square regression and bootstrap analyzes were conducted through PROCESS Macro to analyze the moderated serial-multiple mediation model in the consecutive inducing of social influence, perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness and perceived risk toward the consumer’s intention to use mobile payment. Findings Within the context of consumers evaluating a mobile payment, statistics significant were found for the hypothesized direct and indirect effects of perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness on an intention to use. The results showed that Thai consumers’ intention to use mobile payment was significantly affected by their attitudes in terms of usefulness and the less complication in using the applications. It is confirmed that social influence indirectly affects intention to use via the increase of perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness. The study also found a significant interaction between perceived risk and perceived usefulness toward intention to use. Practical implications It is recommended to service providers to continue improving the user-friendliness, navigation, integrity and furnish the system with more value-added activities within the mobile payment application. It is also essential for the company to deliver tutorials and clear and easy-to-follow instructions to customers. At the same time, the marketer should develop marketing strategies to promote the usefulness and simplicity of using the applications to the consumers. When consumers experienced the easiness and usefulness of the applications, these could overcome the resistance feeling to use due to the concern on any potential risk. Originality/value The study contributes to the existing body of knowledge on consumer usage behavior and TAM by integrating all important variables and developed a parsimony framework to explain consumers’ usage adoption on mobile payment. Moreover, the current study was the very first that proposed and tested a serial of multiple mediations of perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness, moderated by perceived risk, in the relationship between social influence and consumers’ intention to use mobile payment and discovered a moderating role of perceived risk toward the relationship between perceived usefulness and mobile payment usage intention.

The purpose of this research is to examine the factors affecting interests of taxpayers in using efiling facility. The independent variables of this research are perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, security and privacy, complexity, readiness technology taxpayers information and human resources. Data used in this research is primary data by using questionnaires. Respondent are the Individual Taxpayers who used e-filing.This research used multiple linear regression analysis that involved 108 respondents. The results show that: (1) perceived usefulness affects positively the intention to use E-filing, (2) perceived ease of use affects positively the intention to use E-Filing, (3) security and privacy affects positively the intention to use E-Filing, (4) complexity affects negatively the intention to use E-filing, (5) Readiness Technology Taxpayers Information affects positively the intention to use E-Filing (6) Human Resources affects positively the intention to use E-Filing

Mobile convergence has brought about many changes in the modern society. Especially, combining strengths of existing mobile phones and PDA functionality, smart phone is able to overcome the time and location limitations that existing desktop did not meet. This study tried to examine factors influencing intention to use of smart phone based on the theoretical studies on technology acceptance model. Applying to smart phones relevant theoretical relations extracted from previous theoretical research background on mobile devices, mobility, interactivity, innovativeness, social influence and job fitness were selected as independent variables of acceptance factors of smart phone and then research model and hypotheses were established by using these variables. To verify the hypothesis on whether smart phone acceptance factors have a significant influence on perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness, innovativeness was in significant influence on perceived ease of use, social influence was in significant influence on perceived usefulness and mobility and interactivity were in significant influence on both variables. As a result of analysis on perceived usefulness and intention to use, the mediating variables of perceived ease of use was in significant influence on perceived usefulness and perceived usefulness was in significant influence on intention to use.

The aim of this study is to examine the factors affecting students' intention to use cloud computing in the Jordanian universities. To achieve this purpose, a quantitative research approach which is a survey-based was deployed. Around 400 questionnaires were distributed randomly to Information Technology (IT) students at four universities in Jordan and only 236 valid questionnaires were received. Using multiple regression technique, the results revealed that perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, perceived security, perceived speed of access, and perceived cost of usage were significantly influencing the students' intention to accept and use cloud computing while the Affect was not. Furthermore, the results indicated that the developed model explains 50.4% of the variance in the students' intention to use cloud computing. Practically, the results of this study are considered fruitful for the universities and students to increase the usage of cloud computing in the educational settings.

Teachers in the US have been increasingly adopting mobile devices for teaching, but little research has examined how pre-service teachers perceive mobile device integration in classrooms. To address this issue, the study developed a research model that explained factors affecting pre-service teachers' intention to use mobile devices and the relationship among the factors. A total of 386 pre-service teachers participated in an online survey, and the model was tested using structural equation modeling. The results showed that 72.5% of variances in pre-service teachers' intention to use mobile devices were explained by perceived usefulness and self-efficacy for technology integration jointly, where perceived usefulness was the strongest predictor. The findings also demonstrated that constructivist beliefs and perceived ease of use indirectly influenced pre-service teachers' intention to use mobile devices for teaching.

The adoption of mobile cloud computing (MCC) in education systems still faces several obstacles due to technical, environmental, psychological, and individual issues. Considering numerous advantages associated with the adoption of MCC, this article evaluates the frequency of using MCC by students at King Abdul-Aziz University (KAU) and investigates the factors that influence student intention to use MCC. A survey approach has been used to include 163 students of KAU through a random sampling. Results showed that the attitude towards MCC, perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, social influence, accessibility of technology, individual characteristics, perceived privacy, and security are all important determinants of intention to use MCC. Findings contribute towards research and practice by revealing crucial factors that impact student intention to adopt mobile cloud computing in developing countries.

The purpose of this study was to develop and validate a new learning environments instrument designed to aid investigators and practitioners in measuring and researching the pupils’ behaviour intention to use e-book technology. The use of e-book technology in schools is now ubiquitous, but the effectiveness on the learning environment has mixed results. This study intends to investigate factors affecting pupils’ behavioural intentions to use the e-book technology. Integrating Child Computer Interaction (CCI) factors such as usability and interface with the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) factors such as Perceived Enjoyment (PE),  Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU), Perceived Usefulness (PU) and Behaviour Intention (BI). Using e-book technology acceptance survey was developed, field-tested with 40 pupils from school aged 10-17 years  and then validated. The proposed questionnaire has 33 items allocated to six scales: (1) Usability; (2) interface; (3) Perceived Enjoyment; (4) Perceived Ease of Use; (5) Perceived Usefulness and (6) Behaviour Intention. The proposed questionnaire was administered to pupils in the schools. Six experts in the field of computer science, information system and technology to justify it, especially in relation to the elements of each concept, assessed content validity or face validity of the questionnaire. Then alpha reliability, convergent validity and discernment validity have been calculated in this study.   The questionnaire of e-book technology acceptance has strong evaluative and discriminative properties and can be used with confidence to measure the e-book acceptance for pupils.

With mobile technologies' rapid development involving wireless networks and internet infrastructure, e-commerce has been evolving into a new, more significant phase: mobile commerce. Businesses throughout the world are highly motivated to invest in mobile commerce infrastructure and deploy their mobile commerce strategies as a source of sustainable competitive advantage to maintain existing and attract new customers. As probably the first systematic and comprehensive effort to date, this study analyzes the factors affecting customers' intention to use mobile commerce in Vietnam. The results show that perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, variety of services, and trialability have both direct and indirect positive (via perceived usefulness) impacts on intention to use mobile commerce, while trust and social influence have indirect positive impacts on intention to use mobile commerce in Vietnam. Cost does not have any impact on intention to use mobile commerce in Vietnam. The results of this study are also compared with that of studies on mobile commerce conducted in China and Malaixia by Chong et al. Theoretical and practical implications, especially for helping businesses understand how to capture more customers in a rapidly developing country, Vietnam, are discussed.
