The research was conducted at Batu, City, Malang Raya of Indonesia. Study addressed to examine the farmer characteristics, dairy farming income, and the factors influencing on profit. The case study applied multistage sampling method to select 34 representative farmers which divided into three strata namely, stratum-1 (rearing <4 Animal Units), stratum-2 (owning 4-8 AU), and stratum-3 (controlling >8 AU). Primary data collection used survey method with structured questionnaire, whereas secondary data were available in related institutions and sources. Data analysis implemented descriptive and multiple regression technique. Results confirmed that farmers has experienced about 6-10 years in raising dairy farming and they has secondary school education. The profitable dairy farming was smallholder dairy farming that rearing more than 8 AU with daily income per Animal Unit of IDR 64,554 and structured with IDR 11,131 of revenue and IDR 47,577 of production cost. Farmer’s experience was positively explaining the smallholder dairy profit, and the high school education attainment was more likely to increase venture’s income. The farm return has positive and strong relationships with the more number of dairy cattle owned.

Using latest 32 years (1964-95) data, upper air temperatures and zonal and meridional components of winds of several selected stations for various standard isobaric levels (850 to 10 hPa) are screened for the pre-monsoon months of April & May in order to study their association with onset date of southwest monsoon at Delhi. Data for temperature and wind components for May for several stations exhibit significant correlations with onset-date. Some well known parameters presently in use in long range forecast models of monsoon seasonal rainfall have also been screened similarly. With a multiple regression technique, equations have been developed using suitable parameters from those which showed significant linear correlations.

Field experiment was conducted during twelve consecutive Kharif seasons from 1995 to 2006 at Zonal Agricultural Research Station, Tikamgarh to find out the impact of weather parameters on the incidence and activity of Antigastra catalaunalis (Dupnocbel) in Sesame cv JT-7. The analysis revealed that the pest activity started to buildup from 30th standard meteorological week and remained up to 40th standard meteorological weeks (SMW). Larval population has been correlated with weather data and correlation coefficient, regression equations were worked out for development of weather based prediction model. Significant positive correlation with maximum and mean temperature (maximum, minimum) and negative relationships with rainfall was observed. Best fitted polynomial models were developed using the whole season data which explained 60 to 90 per cent variability due to weather parameters. The multiple regression technique has been used for developing predictive model using larval population and weather data not only for the corresponding week but also for preceding weeks. The prediction model for leaf roller explained 88% variability of the pest population. The model predicted peak larval population was in good agreement with observed peak larval population.

Girdle beetle (Oberiopsis brevis) is an important insect of soybean that can cause up to 42.2% yield loss in severe infestation during flowering stage. The infestation of girdle beetle is prevailed by congenial environmental conditions, which leads girdle beetle to be the severe pest of soybean. The present study assesses the relevant weather variables that can cause the peak infestation. Crop Pest Surveillance and Advisory Project (CROPSAP) survey data of girdle beetle incidence were analyzed with weather variables using correlation and regression techniques. The girdle beetle infestation had significantly positive correlation with relative humidity of current and 2nd lag week (RH0, RH-2); and with rainfall of 2nd lag week (RF-2) but significantly negative correlation with maximum temperature of 1st lag week (TMax-1). The multiple regression technique was used to develop the forewarning models for three zones (Vidarbha, Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada zones) and overall Maharashtra, the developed models could explain 80.30%, 94.62%, 73.56% and 79.56% variation in girdle beetle infestation, respectively. The congenial conditions for the peak infestation of girdle beetle on soybean have been worked out and validated, which were TMax0, RH0, RF0, RH-1, RF-1, TMax-2, and RF-2 ranged between 28.6-31.6 ºC, 85.2- 91.8 %, 31.8-119.2 mm, 86.3-92.6 %, 38.1-76.4 mm, 27.7-30.8ºC, and 23.3-60.7 mm, respectively. The insect forewarning would be useful in devising the integrated management strategies for protecting the crop from insect in the incidence region.

The objective of this study was to examine the effect of board gender heterogeneity and corporate diversification on cash flow performance of Deposit Money Banks (DMBs) in Nigeria. The study specifically examined the effect of gender heterogeneity and business subsidiary on operating, investing and financing cash flow performances. The study adopted the ex-post facto research design; as the goal is not to manipulate any variable but rather to establish effect. The population comprised quoted DMBs and the sample restricted to a purposive sample of six (6) banks whose annual reports were accessible for the period of 2005-2020 which is the time scope of this study. The data were analysed using the multiple regression technique. The results showed that gender heterogeneity and corporate diversification does not have a statistically significant effect on cash flow performance jointly and individually. Based on these findings, the study recommended that Gender heterogeneity should be allowed on the boards of DMBs not necessarily to promote cash flow performance, but for equity, fairness and relative peace as supported by previous literature.

Although the number of Islamic co-operatives' memberships only amounted to 2.51 million people (11.19%) to the total membership of co-operatives in Indonesia nationwide, but it has shown a rising trend in its membership by 76.11% over the last decade (Ministry of Co-Operatives & SMEs, 2019). These figures raise an essential research question: what drives the decision of Indonesian citizens to patronage Islamic co-operatives? Specifically, this study explores pertinent determinants of decision-making made by the members to select Islamic co-operatives in Aceh, Indonesia. A number of 280 members and non-members of Islamic co-operatives were selected as the sample of the study using a purposive sampling technique. Based on the logistic multiple regression technique, the study recorded that the members' decision-making in selecting Islamic co-operatives was mainly determined by their shari'ah compliance and characteristics' uniqueness. Meanwhile, physical facilities and services quality provided by the Islamic co-operatives have insignificant effects on the people's decision-making to become the memberships of Islamic co-operatives. This empirical evidence suggested that to attract more memberships, the Islamic co-operatives should improve their shari'ah compliance and characteristics' uniqueness.

This research was conducted to determine the Influence of Customer Service Quality towards Customer Satisfaction and its implication on Loyalty among MICE Customers in Hotels surrounding Bekasi. For service quality, instead of applying the famous SERVQUAL, this study uses the newly build service quality for hotel industry, HOLSERV. Quantitative data analysis was applied to test the relationship among the variables. Prior to that, data were tested for its validity and reliability. Customers of hotels surrounding Bekasi were taken as the respondents with the help of hotel managers who participated in the study. Participants were taken not only those experiencing MICE but also from the employee category assuming the degree of exposure to MICE much higher than students. Structural equation modelling was applied to test the influencing factors among the variables since it has better details in results compare to multiple regression technique. The result shows all the variables in HOLSERV have a significant influence on Customer Satisfaction which leads to Customer loyalty. In addition, customer satisfaction itself has proven to be significant to loyalty.

PurposeBuilding upon the insights of the resource-based view and internationalization theories, the purpose of this paper is to examine the role networks play in SMEs' readiness for internationalization. By investigating three different types of knowledge sharing, namely economic-setting, market-specific and customer-specific, the study analyzes their effect on SMEs' readiness for internationalization.Design/methodology/approachThe four research hypotheses derived by from the analysis of the literature have been investigated by applying the multiple regression technique. By means of an online survey, 300 valid questionnaires were collected and information from a sample of Italian SMEs belonging to 11 agro-food consortia have been analyzed.FindingsThe results suggest that SMEs' readiness for internationalization could be supported by sharing customer-specific, market-specific and economic-setting knowledge with other firms operating within the same agro-food consortium. Additionally, data analysis highlights a negative relation between the risk perception in the process and readiness for internationalization, suggesting the importance of knowledge sharing in reducing the criticality issues of being a newcomer entering international markets.Originality/valueFrom a theoretical perspective, this study aims to fill the gap in knowledge management and international relationship marketing literature. Since proposes a combination of different kinds of knowledge that contribute to reducing the criticalities SMEs must face by identifying useful information to be conveyed within the network. From a managerial perspective, the study provides useful insights for the agro-food sector, highlighting how experiential and network knowledge constitutes a pre-condition for managing internationalization complexity and discovering opportunities on foreign markets.
