The purpose of this research is to identify forms of negatives politeness strategy in Javanese Dialect in Rimbo Ulu. This research was conducted by using descriptive qualitative method through applying several stages. The first one was by collecting data through  observational method, eliciting technique and advance technique as record and note taking. The data is analyzed by using Yule’s theory and some books that related and supported the theory.for the analyse the data, the researcher used pragmatic identify (referential) method. Next, the data analysis is presented by using informal method.The result of this analysis presented by using informal way. From the ten form calssifies of negative politeness strategy, there are (7) forms are found like: be conventionally, indirect, question (hedge, be pessimistic, minimize the imposition, give deference, apologize, impersonalize

This study is aimed to identify the types of compound nouns and analyze the meanings of compound nouns conveyed on The Jakarta Post website. Two theories applied in this study, the theory of compound proposed by Katamba and the theory of meaning proposed by Palmer. Eight articles from The Jakarta Post website were chosen as the data source. The selected articles are related to technology, lifestyle, and business from December 2020 until February 2021. Documentation method and note-taking technique used in collecting the data. The collected data was analyzed by using a descriptive qualitative method and triangulation technique. Meanwhile, in presenting the data analysis, this study used formal and informal methods. The result shows that all types of compound nouns based on the theory applied are found in the data source. The types are: noun + noun, adjective + noun, and preposition + noun. In terms of meaning, there are transparent and opaque meanings.

The purpose of this study is to describe the elements of lexical cohesion and grammatical cohesion elements in the poem discourse "Museum of Destruction of Documents" by Afrizal Malna. This research uses descriptive qualitative method by using library, reading, and note taking techniques. Data analysis was performed by data reduction, data presentation, then described and verified. Based on the research findings, it was concluded that the grammatical cohesion used in the collection of poetry "Museum Destroyer Documents" by Afrizal Malna found as many as 313 markers which include; 1) referencing 168 markers; 2) absorption of 2 markers; and 3) assembling 143 markers. Furthermore, the use of lexical cohesion used in the discourse on the poem "Document Shredder" by Afrizal Malna was found as many as 93 markers which included; 1) repetition of 39 markers; 2) synonym 11 markers; 3) antonimi 29 markers; 4) collocation of 9 markers; and 5) equivalence of 5 markers. When combined, the total usage of both is 406 markers.

This study aims to describe the deviations and compliance with the principle of politeness in language that occurs in discussion in class VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Pancarijang. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The technique used in collecting data uses listening techniques, record techniques and note taking techniques. Data analysis uses the pragmatic equivalent method. Data deviations from the politeness principle of language consists of six maxims, including maxims of wisdom, sympathy, appreciation, generosity, simplicity and consensus. Among the maxim of politeness, the maxim that is most distorted in terms of word choice and polite manner of discussion is the maxim of appreciation. Meanwhile, the maxim that is the most followed in terms of word choice and polite discussion is the maxim of wisdom.

This research aimed to analyze the types of maxims of the cooperative principle that were used in the novel entitled The Fault in Our Stars. The data source of data was a novel entitled The Fault in Our Stars that fulfilled cooperative principle based on four maxims of cooperative principles: Maxim of quantity, maxim of quality, maxim of relation, and maxim of manner. Theory that the researcher used in this research is theory of Grice. In this research, a descriptive qualitative method was applied to answer the research questions. The observational method and non-participatory technique was applied by the researcher in collecting the data. In analyzing the data the researcher used pragmatic identity method based on the theory of Sudaryanto. The results showed that the level of cooperative principle was mostly used in the novel. The researcher found 30 data related to cooperative principle. The maxims of quantity have 15 data, 3 for maxim of quality, 10 for maxim of relation and maxim of manner has only 2 data.

This research had aimed to analyze cooperative principle by observing the characters’ utterances in About Time movie. A descriptive qualitative method was used in analyzing the data because it would be explained by words, phrases, and sentences. The data would be based on the characters’ utterances in About Time movie. In collecting the data, the researcher used the observational method and non-participatory, note-taking techniques. Pragmatic identity method was applied in analyzing the data. The result findings showed that all four maxims in cooperative principle were found through the utterances in About Time movie. The researcher found 37 data of maxims. The result indicated that there were 14 (38%) data maxim of quantity, 14 (38%) data maxim of relation, 7 (19%) data maxim of quality and 2 (5%) data maxim of manner. In summary, the most frequently data were found in the maxim of quantity and maxim of relation. The least data were found in maxim of manner. The problem in this study is how does the form of conversation and mother speech act strategy to the children in Banjar society when gabut baisukan. This study will discuss the form of conversation and mother speech act strategy to the children in Banjar society when gabut baisukan. It is hoped that this study will add the conceptabout one of communication form in Banjarese culture in gabut baisukan.This study uses descriptive qualitative method. The data collection is done through note taking, recording, and also from document, and literature from January 2019 until June 2019. The data are taken from Martapura village, South Kalimantan. This study uses several steps, they are collecting the data, selecting the data, analysis, and presentation. The data presentation uses common words. The result shows that speech act used by mother to the children are dominated by command, while the strategy which is used is positive and negative strategy. This article is aimed at finding out the Minangkabaunese verbs that share similar meaning to the verb ‘MANCALIAK’ (equivalent to ‘to see’ in English) using the Natural Semantic Metalanguage (NSM) approach. This study used a descriptive qualitative method. The data were verbs in Minangkabaunese language that possibly have similar meanings with the verb ‘MANCALIAK’ collected through interview. Five native Minangkabaunese living in the area of Padang were taken as the research respondents. In the process of data collection, listening and note-taking techniques were used. The data were analyzed using an interactive model of data analysis considering the table of semantic primitives as the basis of classifying the verbs. Based on the data analysis, it was found that, in Minangkabaunese language, the verb ‘MANCALIAK’ is realized in several lexical items such as maliek, mancigok, manjanguak, maintik, manonton, mancenek, mamareso and mamparatian. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Data penelitian ini adalah verba-verba dalam BM yang mungkin memiliki kesamaan dalam hal makna dengan verba ‘MANCALIAK’ yang diperoleh melalui wawancara. Lima penutur asli BM yang berdomisili di kota Padang dijadikan sebagai responden penelitian. Dalam proses pengumpulan data, teknik menyimak dan mencatat digunakan. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan model interaktif analisis data dengan mempertimbangkan tabel makna asali sebagai alat pengelompokan verba-verba yang dianalisis. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, ditemukan bahwa, dalam BM, verba ‘MANCALIAK’ (melihat) direalisasikan dengan beberapa leksikal seperti maliek, mancigok, manjanguak, maintik, manonton, mancenek, mamareso dan mamparatian. Verba-verba tersebut memiliki kedekatan makna yang memungkinkan penutur BM melakukan pemilihan kata yang kurang berterima dalam BM.Kata Kunci/frase:  Bahasa Minangkabau, makna asali, MANCALIAK, MSA, verba

This study aims to determine the Tourist Perception of Bokori Island Tourism Object in Bokori Village, Soropia District of Konawe Regency. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Subjects in this study were tourists visiting attractions Bokori Island. Traveler sampling in this study set out in the quota sampling 50 respondents, in this study the sample collection technique by accidental sampling.Methods of  data collection using questionnaires, observation and documentation. Questionnaire data analysis in this research is the analysis presented in the table percentage and distribution. Based on the results obtained show that, according to the perception of tourists attractions of the Bokori Island (1) appeal to the average score - average rating of 3.31 with the perception of being in either category, (2) accessibility with a mean score - average of 3.40 with the perception of tourists are in good category, (3) visitor facilities with a mean score - average rating of 3.12 with the perception of being in either category, (4) infrastructure with a mean score - average 3.53 with the perception of tourists were in the excellent category, (5) security with a mean score - average of 3.24 with the perceptions of visitors are in good category, (6) the promotion with a mean score - average of 3.32 with the perceptions of visitors are in either category. Thus the perception of the overall rating showed a mean score - average rating of 3.32 with the perception of being in either category.

This undergraduate thesis examines the type of transitive verbs found in a children story entitled “Pinocchio”, which was taken from the children story book entitled Disney Storyland Treasury, and analyzes the degree of transitivity found in the story. The data were collected using the documentation method and were analyzed using the descriptive qualitative method. In addition, in order to present the data analysis clearly, both formal and informal methods were used since the data were described in form of sentences and tables. The main theory applied in this study is proposed by Hopper and Thompson (1980) about transitivity, who said that transitivity is a matter of degree and partly because obviousness of change in the object. This theory is supported by the types of verb proposed by Givon (1984), which is used to find out the types of verb in the story. The finding of the analysis showed that there were three types of verbs found in the story namely state verb, action verb and process verb. Each verb has different degree of transitivity, where the degree of state verb is categorized as low in transitivity, action and process verbs have the highest degree of parameter of transitivity.

This research was conducted at PDAM Tirta Daroy Banda Aceh, with the aim to answer the question of how the payroll accounting system applied in PDAM Tirta Daroy Banda Aceh.This research uses descriptive qualitative method. Data obtained from interviews and documentation studies, then analyzed interactively and lasted continuously until complete so that the data has been saturated. Activity in data analysis is data reduction, data presentation, treanggulation and conclusion / verification.The results show PDAM Tirta Daroy Banda Aceh has implemented a neat and well-payroll accounting system in accordance with applicable accounting standards. Payroll accounting system in PDAM Tirta Daroy Banda Aceh is used to overcome errors and irregularities in the calculation and payment of salary. Payroll accounting systems are designed by companies to provide a clear picture of employee salaries so that they are easy to understand and easy to use.
