A cationic amphiphilic copolymer was synthesized with acrylamide (AM), dimethyl diallyl ammonium chloride (DMDAAC), monomer B by solution copolymerization. Through the orthogonal test, the optimum synthesis condition was obtained as follow: the solid content of the polymerization system is 10%, the pH value is 4.0, the polymerization temperature is 60°C, the concentration of the initiator is 0.06%, and the monomer ratio of m (AM): m (DMDAAC): m (monomer B) is 70:10:20. The copolymer was used for the filtration aiding in the wet process phosphoric acid. The filtration rate of the gypsum slurry is increased by 4.8 times, and the filter cake moisture is reduced by 11.79%, with the addition of PADB. The mechanism of filtration aiding was also researched, which shows that PADB can change the mean diameter of crystals and agglomerate the tiny crystals; PADB can decrease the surface tension of the filter liquor and enhance the hydrophobicity of the gypsum.

The structure of filter cake obtained by the positive horizon pressure filtration process has more advances. The paper investigated some main influencing factors about feed concentration, filtration pressure, feed grain composition on dehydration effect. And paper designs the testing program and analyses the testing results. Then paper establish the mathematical model about the filter cake moisture, filtrate concentration, the capacity of handling dry slime and the experiment influence variables. The results show that the filter mass moisture decreases as the increase of feed concentration, filtration pressure and feed size. At the same time, the filtration time, filtration pressure and feed concentration have a little influence on filtration concentration, and handling capacity of dry slime has a proportion with feed concentration and filtration pressure and has a inversely-proportional relationship with filtration time.

The possible volume reduction and stabilization of the sewage sludge associated with the melting process are expected to be greater than with the incineration process. In addition, melted slag can be utilized. However, since the melting process requires a very high temperature to melt inorganics (ash) in the sludge, the technologies to minimize energy consumption, to establish system operation and to prolong durability of facilities should be developed. This paper discusses the auxiliary fuel consumption as follows.(1)Preparation of a model that provides the auxiliary fuel consumption of the melting system on the basis of the mass and heat balances.(2)Evaluation of the auxiliary fuel consumption in the above model using the cake moisture content, the volatile solids of the cake, the dried cake moisture content and the melting temperature as parameters.(3)Examination of the operational conditions for an energy saving melting system based on the results of (1) and (2) above.

The work presented consists of a test procedure applied at a pilot scale using soil as a biological degradation agent. The experiments described were carried out with oily residues considered as wastes difficult to degrade by other means. The tests were applied to filter cake with activated clay containing 40% oil and oily residues from re-refining of lubricants to give white oils and vaseline. The effect of the amount of moisture is evaluated using a mechanical stirrer to improve the interaction between the wastes and microorganisms. The following are also evaluated: nutrient availability; incorporation of micro-organisms into the soil; introduction of chemical fertilizers; and, injections of sludge from effluent treatment plants.
