With the demands of machine tool accuracy and stability for manufacturing are getting higher and higher, the effect of cooling oil is increasingly evident. And it is proved that cooling oil temperature is an important factor for machine cutting precision and stability. Continuous cutting test was carried on and values of over pin dial (M) were measured. The results show that it has large effect of cooling oil temperature on the stability of M-value. Subsequently, test of machine capability index (CMK) was carried on. And it was verified that the CMK of gear shaping machine is larger than 1.67. And the results show that the fluctuation of M values is the smallest when cooling oil temperature is 33°C. Lowest time costing for adjusting the processing system, highest cutting accuracy, and smallest value of stable amplitude for Gear Shaping Machine could be obtained at this condition.

High Availability of data is one of the most critical requirements of a distributed stream processing systems (DSPS). We can achieve high availability using available recovering techniques, which include (active backup, passive backup and upstream backup). Each recovery technique has its own advantages and disadvantages. They are used for different type of failures based on the type and the nature of the failures. This paper presents an Automatic Selection Algorithm (ASA) which will help in selecting the best recovery techniques based on the type of failures. We intend to use together all different recovery approaches available (i.e., active standby, passive standby, and upstream standby) at nodes in a distributed stream-processing system (DSPS) based upon the system requirements and a failure type). By doing this, we will achieve all benefits of fastest recovery, precise recovery and a lower runtime overhead in a single solution. We evaluate our automatic selection algorithm (ASA) approach as an algorithm selector during the runtime of stream processing. Moreover, we also evaluated its efficiency in comparison with the time factor. The experimental results show that our approach is 95% efficient and fast than other conventional manual failure recovery approaches and is hence totally automatic in nature.

AbstrakBerbagai macam upaya dilakukan oleh pemerintah untuk menciptakan lingkungan suatu kota yang bersih, diantaranya melalui penyediaan fasilitas sistem pemrosesan sampah sebagai tahapan akhir dalam pengelolaan sampah. Saat ini, Kabupaten Klungkung, Provinsi Bali memiliki 3 alternatif sistem pemrosesan sampah yang dapat diaplikasikan, yaitu: menggunakan tempat pemrosesan akhir sampah (TPA) eksisting Regional Bangli, membangun TPA baru tersendiri untuk Klungkung, dan pemrosesan akhir di Tempat Olah Sampah Setempat (TOSS). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memilih sistem pemrosesan sampah yang paling optimal dengan mempertimbangkan 4 kriteria, yaitu lingkungan, ekonomi, sosial dan teknis (analisis multikriteria) dengan menggunakan pendekatan Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). Setiap kriteria memiliki beberapa sub kriteria yang dimintakan kepada 35 orang responden yang mewakili 5 institusi pemerintahan daerah terkait untuk dilakukan penilaian perbandingan berpasangan. Penilaian juga dilakukan untuk mengevaluasi setiap alternatif terhadap semua sub kriteria dan kriteria. Secara global, responden lebih memilih pencegahan pencemaran lingkungan (nilai bobot 0,16) sebagai sub kriteria terpenting dari total 13 sub kriteria yang tersedia. Urutan kriteria yang dianggap lebih penting adalah lingkungan (nilai bobot 0,543), sosial (0,181), ekonomi (0,146) dan teknis (0,130). Untuk alternatif pengolahan sampah di fasilitas TOSS dianggap yang paling optimal (total nilai 0,47) disusul TPA Regional Bangli (0,28), terakhir TPA baru (0,25). Suatu alternatif sistem pemrosesan sampah dengan kelebihan dan kekurangan masing-masing harus dipilih yang paling dapat diterima oleh berbagai stakeholder terkait sehingga diharapkan dapat menjadi bagian dari suatu sistem pengelolaan sampah yang berkelanjutan dari suatu kota.AbstractIn order to create a city clean, efforts are taken by government including provision of waste processing system facility as part of waste management system. Recently, Klungkung Regency, Bali Province has 3 alternatives of waste processing system to be applied, namely: utilizing the existing regional final disposal site (TPA) of Bangli, building a new TPA facility dedicated for Klungkung area only, and on-site waste processing facility (TOSS). The study aims to determine the most optimal of waste processing system by considering 4 criteria, namely environment, economic, social and technical (multicriteria analysis) with the help of Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). Each criterion having several sub criterions were assessed by 35 respondents representing 5 local government’s institutions by applying pair wise comparison. The asessement were also performed to evaluate the alternatives to the given criteria and sub criterion. In global, respondents preferred to put environmental pollution prevention (weight of 0.16) as the most important among total 13 sub criterions available. Among the criteria, environment (weight of 0.543) was more prioritized than social (0.181), economic (0.146) and technical (0.130) aspects. Other result showed that TOSS (total value of 0.47) was more preferred than existing TPA of Bangli (0.28), and new TPA of Klungkung (0.25). An alternative of waste processing with its advantages and disadvantages should be chosen and acceptable by the related stakeholders, thus the facility becomes part of sustainable waste management system in a city.

A typical rack and pinion drive set is comprised of a rack and a pinion. There is an inter-tooth clearance between the mating teeth of the rack and the pinion, which has advantages and disadvantages. The disadvantage of this clearance is the errors that occur in the positioning of the machine tool during set-up. Elimination of clearance between teeth is possible by using a pinion drive with two pinions. This ensures continuous contact between the teeth, regardless of the direction of machine movement. These are found on new machines, while older machines do not have such a solution. This paper presents a solution with two pinions, which can be used in such older machines and which makes it possible to achieve qualitative parameters that were not possible before.

This article observes the principles of construction and operation of the belt drives with detached electric motor and the drives with motor spindle. It also describes the characteristics of the elements used in spindles. In choosing a spindle, one proceeds from the primary and secondary requirements for the machine tool: rotation speed, power output, hardness, workspace dimensions, design complexity, application area, option of repair and replacement, and cost. The article considers the advantages and disadvantages of the spindles with additional mechanic gears and the motor spindles. As an example, we compare variants of upgrade of the «16M30F3» machine tool’s main drive. As a result, the following conclusions were made: motor spindle has more advantages than standard drive, but it is way more expensive and its repair is more difficult. Hence, this spindle type is only applicable to machine tools with high standards of quality and performance. Belt-driven spindle is special for easy repair and a wide range of technical specifications: one can choose multiple motor variants for one drive; again, it is much cheaper than motor spindle. However, final decision on spindle should concern the main requirements for the machine tool, workplace dimensions, application of the machine tool and, possibly, financial restrictions. Although machine control data can be obtained by means of converting cutter location (CL) data comprised of the tool tip coordinate and the tool axis orientation vector in the workpiece coordinate frame with postprocessor, it’s uncertain whether they can be used for 5-axis machining. Owing to the fact that most postprocessors focus on the method to derive solutions for the equations of NC data by the form-shaping function matrix and the inverse kinematics model without taking the manufacturing scene into consideration, this study has presented a new post-processing system to generate and optimize NC data more effectively by correcting and selecting optimum solution intelligently for machining based on the solid model of machine tool in simulation environment. In general, the post-processing system consists of user interface layer, data access layer and data processing layer to give expression to the characteristics of universality, practicality and adaptability. User interface layer is mainly about loading the machine model and setting the relevant parameters. Data access layer includes model library of generalized five-axis machine tool configurations, rules library of cutter location data and NC data. Data processing layer is the major research in the paper, which illustrates how to correct the inverse solutions set and select the optimization solution for actual machining. The visual interface for post-processing system written by C++ was successfully applied in the experiment on a five-axis machine tool with a C-axis behind a B-axis rotary table, which demonstrated the effectiveness of the proposed post-processing methodology in the field of manufacturing.

In order to meet multi-channel, high data rate, intensive computing capacity of modern radar signal processing, a standard, scalable, high-performance general-purpose radar signal processing system platform is proposed. The main processor of this system platform is the DSP and FPGA. In the analysis of different kinds of radar signal processing algorithm, and taking into account the respective advantages and disadvantages of DSP and FPGA, In this paper, a software architecture method for radar signal processing is given to decide how to distribute different algorithm into DSP and FPGA. At last, for a certain type of circular array radar, an implementation of radar signal processing by using the general-purpose radar signal processing system platform is proposed.

This article highlights the issue of the importance of information, the need to ensure its proper storage and use. Nowadays, the question of the importance of studying the functioning of data storage facilities in one of the most common design models – Data Flow Diagram, and data storage (DS or DW) in the whole. A study of abstract devices of this information security model was carried out: types, features and types of data storage, which are used in information systems (relational, multidimensional, and hybrid repositories), from the point of view of using models for presenting data; appearance of warehouses and building rules; Letter identifiers of storages “D”, “C”, “M” and “T” with the help of which the type of storages is determined; features of the numerical part of the identifiers for decompositions of the first and second tier processes; mechanisms that support data retention for their intermediate processing in information systems. Transition of properties and characteristics from physical to logical representation, rationalization of data warehouses by considering the features of the logical model. In the course of the work, the peculiarities of the construction of the DFD and the reflection of the interrelationships in all the component diagrams, defined in the general rules that are valid for the two, were considered. The highlighted issues concern the elements of the diagrams, which can be freely exploited within the borders of Ukraine, as well as the elemental content of the different types of diagrams in the diagrams. The unique functionality of domestic DFD diagrams allows to use a sufficient, albeit limited, elemental structure for construction. Depending on the actual possibilities, the diagrams of the Ukrainian manufacturer are somewhat simplified and imperfect according to modern technologies, but these factors do not diminish the importance and necessity of adequate data protection at the highest level. Therefore, in this work, the main most informative moments of the use of this or that type of storage, the demand for DS, in the field, are highlighted, possible advantages and disadvantages of using physical data storage facilities and features of virtual operation.
