Water security is under severe pressures from human interventions and climate change in all over the world and improved water forecast is essential for water management. HYPE is a semi-distributed hydrographic model, running on Windows or Linux operating systems. The code of the model is written by the Fortran programming language and open source as Lesser GNU Public License. HYPE has been becoming a widely used tool in the forecasting of transboundary flows. However, the application of HYPE encounters many difficulties in processing input data and serving the construction, calibration, and validation of the model. This article introduces the development of the V-HYPE tool that helps a couple of global rainfall data and HYPE model for operational use. V-HYPE allows developing a user-friendly interface and setting parameters of the HYPE model as well as evaluating errors and transforming and visually displaying the results of the model. Besides, the V-HYPE has the ability to show related maps (i.e. sub-basins, river network, lake, and dams, etc), set up input data, automatically download global rainfall data, and visually display results on WebGIS. V-HYPE also can generate bulletins supporting for operational water resources warning and forecasting works in Vietnam. The utilities of this tool are demonstrated in the case study of Serepok river basin. This is an Open Access article distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution License (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/), which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium provided the original work is properly cited.

The genome–wide study of epigenetic states requires the integrative analysis of histone modification ChIP–seq data. Here, we introduce an easy–to–use analytic framework to compare profiles of enrichment in histone modifications around classes of genomic elements, e.g. transcription start sites (TSS). Our framework is available via the user–friendly R/Bioconductor package DChIPRep. DChIPRep uses biological replicate information as well as chromatin Input data to allow for a rigorous assessment of differential enrichment. DChIPRep is available for download through the Bioconductor project at http://bioconductor.org/packages/DChIPRep. Contact [email protected]

Abstract A general purpose multibody dynamics algorithm is written and merged into AutoCAD. This merger creates a user friendly environment for the simulation of multibody mechanical systems such as robot manipulators. Users can prepare input data of the dynamic code easily after creating an AutoCAD drawing of the multibody system. After the dynamic analysis is complete, the results can be easily used to produce animation slides in AutoCAD. The multibody dynamics algorithm uses a recursive variational formulation. This formulation has been proven to be computationally more efficient.

AbstractMolecular line intensity calculations are not a straightforward task. We present a description of the basics for including molecular lines in synthetic spectra and of the input data needed. We aim both at describing ways in which molecular lines are computed in the context of photospheres of F–G–K stars, and to present a new online available version of our code for spectrum synthesis of cool stars. We apply calculations to molecular bands in the ultraviolet, visible, and near-infrared main features, and comparisons with spectra of reference stars are shown. We provide user-friendly tools for the free use of the code Pfant. The code is available at http://trevisanj.github.io/PFANT.

Nowadays, utilizing surviellence cameras was very popular because is user friendly and it has many usefull as a monitoring and as a part of security system at home, institution, office, etc. The existing surviellence camera using computer as a control system and as a media storage so it’s  need a energy and high cost  for implementation. Surveillance cameras are designed using the Raspberry Pi B, PIR sensor, webcam Logitech C 170, SD Card, Twitter, Raspbian operating system, and python programming. Automatic input data is performed by PIR sensor that will be detected human around of range area frequently. Output 3.3 - 5 volt (High) will be generated when sensor detected the human around of range area. Otherwise 0 volts output ( Low) will be generated when sensor not detected the human around of range area frequently. Then, The input will be processing by Raspberry Pi using python programming that has made to a command to capture or not.implemetation outcome  is a surveillance camera that will capture image in (.jpg) format when the input system detected human around of range frequently. Capture result will save to SD Card that have integrated system. Then the sistem will provide immediately report the situation in a real-time notification through a twitter application device.

Considering the advances of lightweight materials, such as Aluminium, Magnesium and composite materials, as well as their growing use in various applications, the demand for dissimilar materials joining methods is increasing, as more modern hybrid structures in various industries are using these novel materials which need to be joined either between them or with traditional ones. The paper presents the results of a project aimed to develop a simple and efficient tool for the selection of suitable joining methods for a large variety of dissimilar materials, and capable to provide a summary of technical information, including process parameters and limitations, required equipment, joint structural performances, etc. for each selected method. The dissimilar joining selection tool DIJO-S was developed using Excel environment, which is very accessible to most of the users, user friendly and visually attractive by using the functions of Visual Basic. After processing the input data, the selection tool provides not just the summary of the suitable joining methods, but also detailed process fiches, which support the user for selecting the best feasible option.

A list of general properties of a user-friendly online sys tem is presented. Unfortunately, the requirements of experi enced users on the one hand, and of the beginners or inci dental users on the other hand, are contradictory. Synonymous commands, less strictly formalized input data transformed to standardized formats by intelligent input programs, explicit as well as implicit input data, free choice between default or user's own parameters and procedures or macrocommands, can make any system more friendly even for heterogeneous user population. Similarly, flexibility of output (e.g. elo quent natural-language messages for non-experienced users and concise coded and abbreviated output for experts) im proves acceptance of the system by all users. Examples of flexible, free forms of commands, input and output data are given.

In this paper a Graphical User Interface (GUI) platform to supplement teaching and learning in Engineering Mechanics — Statics course is developed. The package encompasses several interrelated modules of the concepts introduced in a typical Statics class. The GUI provides a user-friendly interactive approach to solving problems and displaying the results both numerically and graphically in two- and three-dimensional spaces. In addition to visualization, GUI approach allows users to modify input data and observe the effect on the solution, thus providing students with additional insight to predict the behavior of structures under different loading scenarios.

Civil engineering design methodology is changing as a result of emerging computer hardware and software. Highspeed, interactive, user-friendly systems are more common, whereas formerly batch submission of batch-oriented programs was the only common method. However, a variety of large, complex program packages are still widely used for urban drainage design problems. These packages are usually executed on mainframes with a large memory capacity and high computing speeds; users need a good working knowledge of FORTRAN input requirements and mainframe job control language, especially when the packages are used in a multi-program, multiprocessor environment. Furthermore, long learning times are associated with the implementation and execution of complex packages on batch-oriented mainframes at remote sites. This paper discusses the design of an interactive package of pre- and post-processors to facilitate input data preparation, job execution, output interpretation, and job resubmission in a multi-program, multiprocessor, remote batch environment. The pre-processors create input data files for job execution; the post-processors operate on the output from the simulation package, synthesizing, analyzing, and plotting to accelerate the users' interpretation at their terminals. The important advance in this work is that the original coding for the main, externally supported, batch-oriented package is not altered. Furthermore, local text processing using previously prepared, disc-based outline reports and the post-processor output allows direct production of draft reports.
