Over the past few decades, video gaming has evolved at a tremendous rate although game input methods have been slower to change. Game input methods continue to rely on two-handed control of the joystick and D-pad or the keyboard and mouse for simultaneously controlling player movement and camera actions. Bi-manual input poses a significant play impediment to those with severe motor impairments. In this work, we propose and evaluate a hands-free game input control method that uses real-time facial expression recognition. Through our novel input method, our goal is to enable and empower individuals with neurological and neuromuscular diseases, who may lack hand muscle control, to be able to independently play video games. To evaluate the usability and acceptance of our system, we conducted a remote user study with eight severely motor-impaired individuals. Our results indicate high user satisfaction and greater preference for our input system with participants rating the input system as easy to learn. With this work, we aim to highlight that facial expression recognition can be a valuable input method.

AbstractNanogrid is “The new ray of hope” for people living in remote isolated locations as well as where power supply reliability is poor. A nanogrid is a small power capacity distribution system with the ability to operate standalone or with a utility grid. It consists of local power production supplying local loads and energy storage systems. In this paper, an innovative inverter design is presented, which converts the power in a single stage. It is superior to the traditional two-stage inverter system and can supply hybrid loads (AC and DC loads) with a single input. System AC and DC bus voltages are regulated under both steady-state and dynamic load variation conditions in the nanogrid. Simulation results are presented which confirm the suitability of the inverter and its control strategy for a hybrid nanogrid system.

People with different languages need to be assisted by translator to establish the communication between them. The technology development which exists to fulfill communication needs is digital dictionary as translator tool. The capability of digital dictionary to translate the languages yet has a weakness in putting the input. Through this research, Optical Character Recognition using Tesseract library and Voice Recognition technologies using Google Speech-To-Text are used to replace the previous input system. Based on the implementation and testing, the OCR and Voice Recognition have been successfully recognizing the text and voice input with the amount of similarity of 92,72% for OCR and 95,46% for Voice Recognition. The result of the implementation is expected to help a group of people with different language to communicate easily.

To reduce frustration while performing no-risk tasks (e.g. in training and games) for BCI users, we propose increasing their perceived level of control through fabricated input - system-generated positive task outcomes. Two surrogate BCI studies injected fabricated input creating additional positive task outcomes to a 50% baseline. Users' perceived control increased significantly compared to the 50% baseline. In turn, frustration levels decreased. Fabricated input worked equally well in a game story context that provided an emotional stake in the protagonist's success and a simpler task lacking such incentives. People's number of input attempts during the tasks determined perceived control more than our controlled ratios of positive to negative task outcomes. Delays between users' input attempts and subsequent fabricated inputs further moderated their perceived control.

The development of the Animal Care Service Administration Information System is a data input system for Owners, Cats, Types of Packages. Owner data input system includes Owner's Name, Address, and Telephone Number. The cat input system includes Cat Name, Gender, Description, Weight, and Veterinarian Recommendation. The Package Type input system includes Package Type, Price, and Package Description. The purpose of the Veterinary Service Administration system is to facilitate the data management of the Animal Care Service Administration. The development of this system uses the system development life cycle method. The method includes several stages of the process, namely the system planning stage, the system analysis stage, the system design stage, the system implementation stage, the system evaluation stage, the system use and maintenance stage. The Animal Care Service Administration Information System is expected to facilitate the process of making officer reports so that they can produce accurate and effective data.

For achieving retrograde gene transfer, we have so far developed two types of lentiviral vectors pseudotyped with fusion envelope glycoprotein, termed HiRet vector and NeuRet vector, consisting of distinct combinations of rabies virus and vesicular stomatitis virus glycoproteins. In the present study, we compared the patterns of retrograde transgene expression for the HiRet vs. NeuRet vectors by testing the cortical input system. These vectors were injected into the motor cortex in rats, marmosets, and macaques, and the distributions of retrograde labels were investigated in the cortex and thalamus. Our histological analysis revealed that the NeuRet vector generally exhibits a higher efficiency of retrograde gene transfer than the HiRet vector, though its capacity of retrograde transgene expression in the macaque brain is unexpectedly low, especially in terms of the intracortical connections, as compared to the rat and marmoset brains. It was also demonstrated that the NeuRet but not the HiRet vector displays sufficiently high neuron specificity and causes no marked inflammatory/immune responses at the vector injection sites in the primate (marmoset and macaque) brains. The present results indicate that the retrograde transgene efficiency of the NeuRet vector varies depending not only on the species but also on the input projections.

One of the institutions for providing capital and supporting the welfare of the people's economy is the Bank. Banks can channel funds to parties in need through the credit system. To provide legal certainty guarantees to the lending bank must be registered. Guarantee that takes precedence in this case, guarantee of materiality. One form of guarantee referred to is SKMHT. In the regulation or application of the Ministerial Decree on the Determination of Time Limits on the Use of SKMHT to guarantee the Repayment of Certain Loans, in reality, TAPA BPR is interesting for further study. The method used is an empirical legal research method. with a statutory, analytical, conceptual and sociological approach. The primary data collection technique in this study is the interview method. The results of this study indicate that there are three factors inhibiting the implementation of the time limit for using SKMHT in banking practices at PT. BPR TAPA, namely the credit guarantee does not have a certificate and the management period is long so that the SKMHT has ended, there is a disturbance in the BPN data input system, and the debtor is not willing to make payments, which causes SKMHT cannot be followed up by charging APHT

PT. PAN BROTHER is a multinational company that produces textiles headquartered in Jakarta, Indonesia. This company was founded in 1969. This company produces various kinds of clothing. Currently, PT. PAN BOTEHR, especially the branch in Boyolali, namely PT. Prima Sejati Sejahtera has conducted attendance by using a finger print machine and a computerized scanner. Employees who wish to take annual leave, maternity leave, official permits, and sick leave are already using a web-based system, by means of employees inputting attendance on a computer provided by the company. However, there are still employees who lack knowledge of science and technology and are still an obstacle to implementing the web-based system. This system can actually be accessed using a smart phone, so that employees do not need to ask attendance staff for help when inputting leave. And to recap the attendance report of HRD employees must also look for employee leave documents that are still in paper files, so that this can slow down the withdrawal of reports on a monthly basis. With this problem, the Company made an innovation by creating an online-based web application for inputting employee leave and the author also conducted research on the application of this web-based system using literature study and field studies in field objects. It is hoped that with this research, the system can be used by all employees to be more effective in inputting absences due to leave and can help alleviate the performance of HRD staff to be more flexible and efficient and reduce absenteeism reporting errors due to employee leave.
