The purpose of this study is to determine the suitability of the presentation of the An-Nahl Pandaan KPRS financial statements to Syaria FAS. This research uses descriptive qualitative research in which the purpose is to describe and illustrate the application of Sharia Financial Accounting Standards in terms of the financial statements prepared by KPRS An-Nahl Pandaan. The techniques used in data collection are through observation, interviews, documentation, and online data search techniques. The results of the analysis and discussion of this study indicate that most of the financial statement presentations in KPRS An-Nahl are in accordance with Sharia FAS even though only the entity only reports the financial position (Balance Sheet). From the An-Nahl KPRS financial report that looks very prominent the discrepancy is that An-Nahl KPRS does not make the six other financial report components listed in the Sharia FAS because the KPRS An-Nahl management itself does not yet understand how to prepare financial reports in accordance with applicable standards.

The Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) and the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) are preparing to make changes to accounting standards for leasing that will have a significant impact on the financial statements of a large number of companies. The proposed standard will eliminate the operating lease classification, and if passed, companies using this classification will be required to report additional assets and liabilities on the balance sheet. This study estimates the impact of this change in accounting standards on the financial statements and several key financial ratios for an extensive sample of companies and industries from the Compustat North America database. It is important that users of financial statements understand and are prepared for these changes prior to implementation, particularly for industries in which operating leases are heavily utilized.

In Aceh, Indonesia, zakat is included as a locally-generated revenue (Pendapatan Asli Daerah – PAD) and it is managed by a government body called Baitul Mal. As a government institution, Baitul Mal is obligated to present financial statements according to Government Accounting Standards (Standar Akuntansi Pemerintah - SAP). This article reports the findings of the accounting treatment for zakat financial statements in Baitul Mal Aceh. Baitul Mal Aceh as the government zakat institution is annually required to disclose two different financial statements, both financial statements based on Government Accounting Standards (SAP) and based on a statement of financial accounting standards 109 (PSAK 109). Therefore, the purpose of this study is to investigate the compliance of Baitul Mal Aceh with SAP dan PSAK 109 in zakat financial reporting. This research is a descriptive study from the data obtained through field study. The results showed that Baitul Mal Aceh has implemented both SAP and PSAK 109 in presenting the financial statements regardless of some items that might not be in accordance with the standards. In financial statements based on SAP, a variance was found in the presentation of information related to the procurement of assets and the details of the depreciation. As for the financial statements based on PSAK 109, it has been presented from 2012 to 2017. From the available data, there are some differences in the disclosure compared to PSAK 109. Amil funds and non-halal funds were not disclosed in the balance sheet as well as there was no statement of changes in assets under management. Moreover, these financial statements were not presented in the last two years due to limited supporting facilities/devices and human resources.========================================================================================================Zakat sebagai Pendapatan Asli Daerah: Perlakuan Akuntansinya pada Baitul Mal Aceh.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to examine the classification of profit-sharing investment accounts (PSIAs) under various accounting standards, and determine whether Islamic banks maintain uniform practices when the same accounting standards are applied. It also aims to determine whether Islamic banks consider investment account holders (IAHs) important financial statement users by disclosing necessary information pertaining to PSIAs. Design/methodology/approach A sample composed of financial statements from 63 Islamic banks from 15 countries is compared with respect to the information related to PSIAs. Findings The results show heterogeneity of classification for PSIAs. Applying the same standards does not lead to the uniform classification of PSIAs when banks apply International Financial Reporting Standards, while financial statements applying Financial Accounting Standards by the Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions are more similar. The perplexity in classifying PSIAs brings obscurity on the treatment for PSIA-related accounts, particularly returns attributable to IAHs. The fact of fewer disclosures pertaining to PSIAs in Islamic banks – which apply accounting standards not specifically tailored to Islamic finance – suggests that IAHs receive less attention under those accounting standards. Research limitations/implications The main limitation relates to the lack of financial statements available online and the possibility of sample selection bias toward larger Islamic banks. Originality/value This research contributes to the limited literature on accounting for PSIAs, and reveals the diversity of reporting methods for unique transactions in Islamic banks and the insufficiency of current accounting standards to guide them, which create possible challenges of comparability.

Het oorspronkelijke Framework for the preparation and presentation of financial statements (framework 1989) was aan een fundamentele herziening toe.
