Literature review shows that many primary school teachers have poor understanding of basic astronomy contents. Therefore, the aim of the study was to introduce specific astronomical content to in-service primary school teachers through two didactic games, to evaluate the didactic games and the teachers’ knowledge and understanding before and after the implementation of the didactic games. The research included 24 in-service primary school teachers. The data were collected through the knowledge test (pre-post design) and questionnaires for each didactic game. The results showed that the teachers evaluated the didactic games as suitable for use in the classroom as they emphasized that they are educational, explicit and interesting. The implementation was identified as effective because the median for fractional gains was 0.54 and showed the medium gain in teachers’ knowledge and understanding of selected astronomy contents. It was recognized that in-service primary school teachers do not feel competent for introducing complex astronomical contents to their students. However, the presented approach could encourage in-service primary school teachers to deepen their knowledge and to teach astronomy contents with a method that is closer to their students. University teachers could point out the advantages and disadvantages of didactic games in astronomy content and discuss them with pre-service primary school teachers. Introduction: In India, 1% to 19% of the total students have Learning Disability. Learning disability may vary from person to person and is incurable but can be controlled if diagnosed earlier. Teachers play a vital role in its identification.  Aims: Assessing the Knowledge and Attitude of primary school teachers regarding early identification and management of Learning Disability. Study Design: The study design is Descriptive cross sectional design. Place and Duration of Study: selected school at Tapi District, Gujarat, between 2020 – 2021. Methodology: The research was carried out by using Quantitative research approach and on 150 primary school teachers. The non probability sampling technique was used. The tool includes socio demographic variables, Knowledge questionnaire and Attitude scale. Results: No teacher have excellent knowledge i.e 0.00% regarding Learning Disabilty. 59.33% have good knowledge and 40.66% teachers are poor in knowledge regarding Learning Disability. 96.66% teachers have positive attitude towards children having Learning Disability while 3.33% teachers have negative Knowledge. There is positive correlation between Knowledge and Attitude. There is significant association of knowledge with age and classes allotted at p< 0.05. There is significant association of Attitude with classes allotted at p< 0.05. Conclusion: Majority of the teachers have good Knowledge and most of them have positive attitude towards the children with Learning disability.

Introduction: Dental injuries could happen anywhere, including in the school compound. Correct management by the teachers in dental emergencies could prevent further damage to the traumatized tooth and improve the success rate of the treatment. Hence, the purpose of this study was to assess the knowledge and attitude towards dental trauma management among the primary school teachers in Kubang Kerian area. Methods: This descriptive study was conducted in three national primary schools in Kubang Kerian and multi-stages sampling was performed to select the subjects. One hundred and twenty teachers (n = 120) were randomly selected and responded to a set of a self-administered questionnaire. The questionnaire consisted of general characteristics, knowledge, and attitude towards dental trauma. Results: A total of 120 primary school teachers, predominantly female teachers (74.2%) participated in this study. More than half of the teachers (62.5%) have more than 15 years of teaching experience. One-third of the teachers (34.2%) have completed first aid training; however, dental trauma management subject was lacking (1.7%). About 31.7% of the respondent had experienced dental trauma case. Eighty-five percent of the teachers did not opt for tooth replantation in the case of avulsion and almost all the teachers (97.5%) did not choose fresh milk as the medium storage of the avulsed tooth. Conclusion: The level of knowledge and attitude on dental trauma management among school teachers is unsatisfactory. As a recommendation, first aid training given to the teachers should include basic knowledge of dental trauma management. The awareness can be improved by organizing talk or campaign on dental trauma management at the school level.Keywords: Children, dental trauma, school teachers.

Introduction: Dental avulsion is a condition in which the tooth is completely dislodged from its socket. Inappropriate management when trauma occurs can complicate the prognosis of the tooth. The majority of injuries to children's teeth occur in the school environment and teachers play an essential role in providing first aid at the accident site. However, the school teacher’s knowledge regarding first aid dental avulsion is inadequate. Objectives: The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of an animated video (First Aid Management of Dental Avulsion) on the knowledge of primary school teachers. Materials and methods: This clinical experimental study comprised 54 teachers from 13 public elementary schools in Central Jakarta who were chosen randomly to fill out a questionnaire before and after watching the animated video. Results: Data analysis using the Wilcoxon comparative test showed that there was a statistically significant increase (P<.05) in knowledge after watching the animated video. Conclusion: Thus, the animated video was effective in increasing the knowledge regarding first aid management of dental avulsion among the primary school teachers. Keywords: audiovisual aid; first aid; school teachers; tooth avulsion
