On the territory of the garden and park landscapes of the Middle Pobuzhzhia 31 species of higher vascular plants that have national or regional protection status have been revealed or cited in literature. Of these, 9 species are listed in the current edition of the Red Data Book of Ukraine, 10 species have regional protection status in Vinnytsia region and 20 species in Cherkasy region. National Dendrological Park «Sofiyivka» NAS of Ukraine has the largest number of species from the Red Data Book of Ukraine (8 species): Tulipa quercetorum, Euonymus nana, Scopolia carniolica, Allium ursinum, Pulsatilla pratensis, Pulsatilla patens, Trapa natans, Epipactis helleborine, Neottia nidus-avis. Only by one rare species were revealed in the Pechersky (Scopolia carniolica), Sokiletsky (Pulsatilla pratensis), Verkhivsky (Trapa natans) and Kryzhopilsky (Epipactis helleborine) parks. Phytoindication assessment of the identified localities showed that the most of them are on the border or even outside their ecological-coenotic amplitude by one or more factors, which indicates their vulnerability to external influences. Currently, the greatest threat to the existence of species at present is the recreational load, so according to the Law on the Red Data Book of Ukraine, they all need proper protection measures.

On the base of research florochorology, studing the main herbarion collections (LW, LWKS, LWS) and analisis the literature the checklist of the spontaneous vascular plants for the territory of the Znesinnya Regional Landscape Park has been compiled. Some 727 species from 392 genera, 108 families, 59 orders, 5 classes and 4 divisions are presented from the investigated area. Among them, the most common part (77.7%) belongs to the representatives of the Magnoliopsida class, while the Liliopsida class of representations is significantly less (19.3%). With a wide range of disputes, coniferous trees are stocked less than 3.0% of all types. The species distribution to the leading families and genera have been analysed. For the first time were recorded the present habitats of 30 rare species (15 from the Red Data Book of Ukraine, аnd 15 species are rare in the region). The locations of the rare species with state sozological status (Dactylorhiza incarnata (L.) Soó, Epipactis palustris (L.) Crantz, Listera ovata (L.) R.Br., Lilium martagon L., Orchis militaris L.) were offered for the first time. Two species from addition of the First Bern Convention (Cypripedium calceolus and Pulsatilla grandis) are disappeared on the territory of the park.

The systematic position and modern state of populations of the rare species of Ukrainian flora Carlina cirsioides Klokov (Asteraceae) are considered. Since this species is included into the Red Data Book of Ukraine (2009) and the European List of Globally Threatened Animals and Plants (1991), it is well-known for European botanists as an endemic of the Ukrainian flora. However, neither the authors of Flora Europaea (1976), nor monographers of the genus Carlina recognize Carlina cirsioides as a separate species. Comparative morphological, chorological, and coenotic analyzes does not allow Carlina cirsioides to be considered as a separate species, endemic and relic of the Ukrainian flora. According to morphological features, specimens from the plains of Ukraine are referred to the subspecies Carlina acaulis caulescens, which is distributed mainly in plain regions of Europe. Ecological and coenotic conditions of habitats of Carlina acaulis in the lowland part of Ukraine are different from its habitats in the Carpathians and Alps and are close to xerotherme grass communities with Carlina acaulis of plains of Central Europe. Steppe communities of Festuco-Brometea class with Carlina acaulis in the Volhynian-Podolian Upland are similar to xerotherme communities with Carlina acaulis of Central Europe. Erico-Pinetea class communities are common habitats for Carlina acaulis in the Ukrainian Polissia and north-eastern Poland. Lowering the species status of Carlina cirsioides from separate species to subspecies Carlina acaulis caulescens does not diminish its phytosozological value. Due to the low number of Carlina acaulis populations in the Volhynian-Podolian Upland and Polissia, all localities of this species in the lowland part of Ukraine need to be provided by protection.

Various types of forest and meadow plant communities of the Kabardino-Balkar Republic (CentralCaucasus) from the steppes to the alpine were examined by the route method during floristic investigations in 2018–2019. New locations of five rare species of vascular plants of the region natural flora were found (Picea orientalis (L.)Peterm., Taxus baccata L., Betula raddeana Trautv., Acer trautvetteri Medw., Eriophorum angustifolium Honck.). Exactlocations for another five rare species within the previously designated areas were also identified (Pojarkovia pojarkovae(Schischk.) Greuter., Scopolia carniolica Jacq., Hypericum nummularioides Trautv., Securigera orientalis(Mill.) Lassen,Galanthus alpinus Sosn.). The article presents the data on the floristic finds, indicating the coordinates of specific locations, species habitat preferences in region, the number of populations, the species distribution in the Caucasus, and informationof inclusion in the Red Books of adjacent regions. The rarest vascular plant species for the native flora of the KabardinoBalkar Republic are Galanthus alpinus, Scopolia carniolica, Pojarkovia pojarkovae. All three species were revealed inmountain territories subject to high recreational (trampling by tourists, picking up flowers) and economic (grazing) loads. All three species were revealed in mountain territories. The findings of isolated populations of Picea orientalis, Taxus baccata, Betula raddeana, Acer trautvetteri provided new information about the distribution and ecology of these rarespecies listed in the latest edition of regional Red Data Book. For these species, the categories of rarity status acceptedin the Red Book of the Kabardino-Balkar Republic are confirmed. Galanthus alpinus, Scopolia carniolica, Pojarkoviapojarkovae, Hypericum nummularioides, Securigera orientalis, Eriophorum angustifolium are proposed for inclusion inthe next edition of the Kabardino-Balkar Red Data Book. The most endangered state was identified for Picea orientalis, for which only two habitats in the region are reliably known and those are subject to intense anthropogenic impact.
