Тhe clinical lecture presents modern views on the problem of cervical insufficiency and its role in the miscarriage. Etiological agents of the cervical insufficiency development, its classification, diagnostic and differential diagnosis with short cervix have been reviewed. Particular attention has been drawn to the role of progesterone, microelements and connective tissue for development and progress of the mentioned pathology. The historical aspect was applied both for methods of possible treatments and prophylaxis of the cervical insufficiency and for advanced surgical and conservative correction. The algorithm of the obstetric actions for the cervical insufficiency is proposed.

The role of ischemic-duodenal insufficiency (IDI) in spontaneous termination of pregnancy has not been fully elucidated. The development of various modifications of the surgical treatment of IDI is of great importance, which has led to a very wide use of surgical interventions on the cervix, including "prophylactic" interventions. The application of a circular suture to the cervix is appropriate only in cases where there is an organic variant of this pathology. Differential diagnosis of organic and functional IDI in pregnancy is difficult.

Respiratory diseases are the most important and common entities of bovine livestock industry. Due to the multitude of etiological agents producing diseases of this system, clinical signs vary markedly, thus differential diagnosis is very difficult. The most common form of pneumonia is shipping fever pneumonia, characterized by consolidation of the lung in the apical lobe and less often extending to other lobes. Although is is regarded as Pasteurellosis, further research is needed to establish the casual role of bacteria, the possible influence of as yet unknown viruses, and the effect of other deleterious factors.

The clinical lecture presents the modern concepts of complicated infections of the kidneys and urinary tract. The principles of dividing infections into complicated and uncomplicated ones are considered in the lecture. Data are presented on the classification, epidemiology, etiology and pathogenesis of pyelonephritis, the features of the inflammatory process in the kidney depending on such pathogens as E. coli, pathogenic cocci, Pseudomonas infection. The modern possibilities of revealing reversible and irreversible inflammatory changes in the kidney, the pathogenesis of complications of acute purulent pyelonephritis are considered in details. Considerable attention is given to differential diagnosis of the nonspecific inflammatory process in the kidney and nephrotuberculosis. The role of urologists and general practitioners in assisting patients in outpatient and inpatient stages of diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation has been clarified. (For citation: Borisov VV.
